@@giancarlocarattini4985Maybe his lawyers don't trust him for such reasons.
I think itvis more likely that Chili doesn't want to go through a several hours long process just to attend a 5 minute hearing where he doesn't have to speak. He would be in chains the whole time.
It is also possible that he doesn't want to appear on camera as much now, since his last "performance" didn't go over very well.

I saw the original court hearing where he was sentenced. He referred to an officer as a “pig” right there in court. When the judge said they thought he just hated all police officers, he gave an exaggerated thumbs up and started obnoxiously nodding his head. It was behavior I’d expect from a child. The prosecutor only asked for a deferred sentence, and the judge gave a “nope” to that and sent him to jail. Turns out acting like a nut bag doesn’t go over well in court.

The appeal is written by someone who clearly doesn’t understand the issues that put chillie behind bars. It’s quite clearly written by chillie at least in part.
Any decent lawyer would realise it’s got nothing to do with chillie claiming to be a journalist or the fact he took two tiny steps back, but everything to do with how he verbally attacked and harassed the cop. His foul attitude toward law enforcement being a key piece of evidence that chillie displayed in court.

So you can submit triple the number of pages allowed and the judge accepted that? It's ridiculous to allow that many extra pages. I'm sure Chille is going to count this as a massive win on his part.

Chilies Lawyer just earned a couple of tens of thousands for that. Chillies supporters will donate tens of thousands more to get him released so he can run for Governor and change the entire justice and law enforcement system for them.
