    Owner why i chose CBR 500r over Ninja 500: Bike looks bigger and is bigger (180cm 85 kg) . Efficient power for beginner like my 43 yo. Comfy. IMO, red color looks incomparable better in real life and is real head turner :)

    Nice review. This 500/471cc bike looks good and I bet is fun to ride; good competition for Kawasaki's 500/451cc Ninja.
    For the display, I think that is an LCD screen, as TFT displays are normally easy to read in direct sunlight. Enjoy the ride!

    • @FrontWheelUp
      @FrontWheelUp  5 месяцев назад +1

      The little 500 is an excellent choice but I think I would be tempted to spend a little more and go for the 650. I'm actually reviewing the 650r this coming week so can give you a proper comparison then. 👍

      @@FrontWheelUp That is awesome. There are not allot of great reviews and I am on the fence between the two. Seems like the 650R is better long term, but the 500R has that daily commute appeal.

      You”re totally correct with your comments about the fireblade. i’m an older rider and have ridden fast bikes over the years -R1, Blackbird,Gpz’s. But while the speed is nice to have, a lot of the time we just want to get somewhere as efficiently and economically as possible .Am using a bike this summer to travel between Manchester and Garstang quite regularly and the little CBR would probably be more relaxing and a lot more economical on that journey than my current FZ6 S2. i’d say it’s probably one of the most practical real world motorcycles out there. I don’t think you can argue with its reliability, looks, ergonomics and combination of performance and economy. Outgoing ‘23 model can be had new for just over £5.5k. Know I could get a hornet 750 for just over a grand more.But doubt it would it be as cheap to run. why there are so many people who think you have to have a BMW 1250 GS just to go up the road I have no idea.

    • @RossNixon
      @RossNixon 4 месяца назад +1

      The 650R is actually a BIG step-up from the 500R. 94HP as against 47HP. The price reflects this.

    I"ll definitely pick Aprilia 457 RS over the Honda 500 anyday.why?Because Aprilia is lighter and has the best power to weight ratio in its class and that little 457cc engine has an insane acceleration..

      You have to consider ownership cost and convince. Honda dealerships are everywhere. Also have to consider maintenance intervals, insurance and fuel consumption. The Honda is better for a beginner.

    • @georgeharsin6292
      @georgeharsin6292 9 дней назад +1

      Just make sure you buy the extended warranty, probably going to need it with that bike unlike the Honda.
