We would love to see you react to all of the Opening Ceremonies of Worlds. From 2014 up to now. Its from Korea (2014) , 2015 (Paris), 2016 (Staples Center) , 2017( Beijing) and 2018 ( Incheon)
The characters are: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. This is all technically advertisement for the new skins Riot Games (League's creators) made for them. Every so often a group of characters (usually 5) will get new skins around a theme. The theme will sometimes be about an alternate universe were those 5 characters are in a group together doing something. Last time there was a Gaurdians of the Galaxy theme. This time they made some of the characters into a pop band. :D
The 2 Korean Singers are member of the K-pop band (G) I-dle. The Band has more members but just 2 of them were featured in this song. Plus Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, two American Singers.
Its not a real "band" per say. It's featuring 2 members of a kpop group: (G)-IDLE's Soyeon and Miyeon and 2 American singers Madison Beer and Jaira Burns.
yeah the characters are each represented with a real singers voice etc... Ahri(fox girl) is G-Idles Miyeon Akali(Rapper girl) is G-Idles Soyeon Evelynn(Pink haired girl) is Madison Beer Kai'Sa (Purple haired girl) is Jaira Burns
4:05 to 4:09, never heard two people sounding so awesome while saying "League of Legends" XD For some reason, it sounded really epic if you isolate it.
There's a lot of context for the music video, K/DA is for Kills, Deaths and Assists, a set of scores that generally measures how strong a person is doing in that match, K/DA itself is a K-pop group in lore for the musical alternate universe for Runeterra (the setting for League of legends, they also exist with the other present musical group PentaKill) The lyrics describe that they're the best, that it's impossible to bring them down and that they're always going to win. In League of legends, each major skin theme is an alternative universe
"The anime girl who isn't a real girl but is a pop star" roughly quoted. There is also that much more common group called Gorillaz which is also a virtual group. The animated characters for that group are the faces of the group. If memory serves, there is only 2 real life constant members in Gorillaz. Other than that, many artists from across the music spectrum have collabed with those 2 to creats the music they produce typically providing the main vocal tracks along with any rap verses like in "Feel's Good" where De La Soul provided the rap verse. It's not a "new" idea but LoL did it right with this video and with it's popularity it looks like K/DA may be around for a little bit more. I read somewhere that they were working to produce more music under through K/DA. If they keep with the quality seen in this video, the fans will be blessed. Me, I showed this song to my daughter the first time I heard it because I knew it was something she would love. I liked it a bit but she loved it as I thought she would. Over time it grew on me more and I like it more now. My daughter? She still loves it and I hear it being played often while she's doing chores. Plus, I bring it up on the stereo when I take her to the dentist or where ever. It sounds pretty good with 2,000 watts behind it.
All 4 characters are playable in the game. The video is to promote 4 new skins for them, each getting 1 new skin. The video is made to be a k-pop music video. It's very much intended to be like that. The song was also performed live at the opening ceremony for the LoL world championships. Edit: It is 4 pop stars, 1 american or english speaking I believe , and 2 korean and not sure about the last. They did the motion capture for video as well.
KDA stands for Kills Deaths and Assists. It’s a stat you get in LoL The video was for new character skins and they performed it live at the World Championship Finals in Korea, so it is a K-Pop song and video.
I guess someone already explained what this was about. But basiclly this was a music video for a band that performed during the Championship and all 4 of this you see in the video is champions within League and this is 4 new skins (outfits) for this champions that you can purchase in the ingame store. The band K/DA (stands for Kill Death Assist) is a actully K-pop band well known in korea. There is tones of other similare videos and cinematics you should watch.. also watch the live open ceremony for 2017 championship that is an amazing opening..
You guys ask similar questions each time so ill explain the purpose of these animated music videos. The one guy you guys see in Rise and Ignite is known as "Faker", he's widely regarded as the best league of legends player in the game, a 3 time world champion (of course LoL is a team game, he belongs to team SK Telecom) Rise - trailer for the 2018 World Championships Legends Never Die - trailer for the 2017 championships Ignite - trailer for the 2016 world championships Warriors - trailer for 2014 world championships, by imagine dragons K/DA - a music video advertising new skins for four characters with a central theme of kpop and idols Get Jinxed - just a character video/ trailer showing off the character and her personality Then there are some videos like A Twist of Fate, A New Dawn, etc that just advertise and promote the game, and some videos like the Shurima one is just a story behind characters or game lore. A lot of the championship trailers are sort of homages and montages depicting the struggles and hurdles pro players have overcome. Rise was a retelling of last year's championship series and how Ambition, the MVP of last years winning team (Samsung Galaxy/ SSG), defeated the legendary Faker and team SKT, ending their 3 year reign. Legends Never Die was basically like a training montage, and a mirror between the in game characters and the pro players. The video just tries to depict how pro players feel and their journey to becoming the best in the world, and the sacrifices it took, it's echoed inthe lyrics that a Legend will Never Die, legend being the players. Ignite was a retelling of the champion ship series the year before as well, Faker of course again being the highest wall in the world and holding the seat of world champion which everyone aspires for. Warriors is just a video again depicting the struggles of a pro player, and depicting them as warriors who have overcome and defeated everyone else to reach their position, the time and sacrifices made to become the best, and the finals took place at the Staples Center which is why it was in the video, which they sold out in like an hour. K/DA was a music video with a Kpop/ pop idol theme. It serves multiple purposes, for one it's advertising new skins for four characters (each singer represents and personifies a different character) and the reason it was a kpop music video was probably because this year's world championship final took place in Korea, and of course, Idol and pop star culture is huge there. They did a live performance of this song with the singers at the opening ceremony. League of Legends is an MMO MOBA (Massively Multiplayer Online, Mobile Online Battle Arena). A moba is a genre that is normally 3rd person perspective/ top-down view and takes place in an arena-like map. MOBA is most often associated with League of Legends and Dota, as theyre the biggest ones, and league of legends has consistently held the title of most popular free to play pc game in the world for several years until recently

Ok the Anime girl you thought of is Hatsune Miku. The Virtual Diva. She's a vocaloid. The main mascot to a singing voice synthesizer software. & the girl is presented as the face to the vocals created from the software.
