ATTENTION to all the newbies doing this for the first time: he doesn't say it, but pay a lot of attention to where which screw was! It doesn't look like it, but some screws actually have a different length, which can be very important because it could damage the texture underneath! I did this when I changed the screen for my old iPhone 4S, and all I got when I turned it back on was the blue screen of death...
U ain’t lying cause I repaired my 7 & had to figure out the screws when I was putting it back together & it took bout an hour jus to put it back on 😂🤦🏻♂️
you are the best, even a child understand your advice. Well done brother. For newbie you can see in the video that he use in the video exactly same spot to put the screw on the table, on every pice.
Dude! You're a lifesaver! Your instructions were awesome. The trickiest part for me was the camera assembly - one thing I noticed with my replacement part was that the plastic case around the camera needed to be removed and placed in the new kit. That's the only thing I would add.
Those inexperienced watching this, heed my advice, this was not the safest way to do a screen replacement. Not disconnecting the battery prior to unplugging the flex cables, using fingernails instead of plastic pry tools or a spudger to disconnect or pry things such as the ultra sensitive and fragile home button/Touch ID sensor , and using your fingers to remove, or more appropriately, risk ripping or damaging, the adhered home button flex cable Touch ID part. Even if you’re experienced, you should still never take these risks for they can be catastrophic. If you’re new to repairs, do not do the repair by mimicking this video’s suggestions. His general algorithm is correct in terms of what needs to be done, but the methods used are dangerous. My 0.02 cents.
Keep in mind that when doing these repairs on newer models like the 7,7+,8and8 plus you have to be extremely careful when transferring the hombutton to the new screen because once you tare that flex cable you can’t just buy a replacement home button being that the original home button that came with your phone is synced with your motherboard apple intentionally did this to stop independent repairs but luckily there’s a way around that with the yf home button
Very comprehensive except for the few times you were explaining the repair while you held the phone above the camera view for the important area of work. Maybe in the future an edit of the video of that part would have resulted in spot on coverage of all the steps. We were able to preform the repair successfully by figuring out what was off camera and following the rest of the steps we could see. Thank you for this video. Otherwise we would have not been able to do our own repair.
do you mean does it stay water resistent? sadly no, i never repaired my iphone yet, but alot of videos talk about how since your removing the water resistent adhesive, it will not be resistent anymore, thats why aftrer i repair my phone im having a water proof case being shipped
I was replacing the battery on an 8 and tore the home button cable from the mainboard. So far what I've found is that this requires the replacement of the backlight. Is this true or do is it possible to just replace the cable itself? If I can just replace the cable, where might I find one? Will obtaining a "test ribbon cable" work for the fix?
Good instructions. Be aware: 1. It's very hard to replace the glass, and fairly cheap to get an aftermarket full screen replacement. 2. He says to be careful removing the home button assembly. Be EXTRA SUPER CAREFUL. If the ribbon tears you can replace the button assembly but at time of writing it won't work, it will just allow the phone to work - currently the button is paired with the logic board. I just found this out when I wasn't careful enough... so watch out for that ribbon!
Plus also beware opening up your iPhone 7 and all later models destroys the water barrier gasket seal (its like a one time use seal so opening them destroys it) in them so you either need to buy that gasket seperately or dont allow your phone to get wet!! Models prior to iPhone 7 dont have the water gasket seal...
silly question maybe, is it possible to heat it up in the oven? Dont have any of those things but my oven is p accurate, if I set it to like 80C, would that work?
You don't need heat at all, just a thin metal/plastic tool. but be extremely careful with the home button. They are very very fragile on the 7 and 8. At my place of work we typically do it under a microscope.
What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Show us how is done in a short time video without using the heat to soften the adhesive Mate on LCDs & Batteries removal. Just like any other Apple devices the heat must be used. Just for your attention JD the adhesive around the LCD makes the iphone waterproof and keep LCD tight firm against the device aluminum housing bud.
Sugar I just watched a video of a guy that didn’t use any heat. And don’t call people “bud” it’s toxic, idiotic and retarded The video: ruclips.net/video/IxIMnffRGP0/видео.html imo I think that the video I just linked is way better. When I compare these 2 videos then I think this video is uninformative when in comparison to the one I just linked
there are some screen which is not included home button & camera, will it be ok, if i purchase one with out them since my screen is cracked i don't think i should replace them. any suggestion
while the screens are compatible and will work with the other device. the fitting is different at the top the iphone 7 uses a plastic hinge while the iphone 8 uses a metal locking mech
Heys guys, recently I fell of my skate board and my phone is having a lil green lcd mark when a black spot is near the lcd area . This is really bothering me, and can I fix this problem without having to open up the Iphone?
Did you just get your A+? Ive been fixing electronics for 25 years and have repaired 10,000+ devices and never used a mat and never damaged anything from static electricity.
Very very bad work, you can't disconnect flet cabel with your finger lol, who repair phone on your store? Daily professional work and you don't have magnetic plate for screw? haha
been repairing phones for over 2 yrs at my shop.. you dont have to have a magnetic plate for your screws.. thats an extra. not a necessity and disconnecting the flex with a fingernail is no different than with a plastc spudger. chill out lol. as long as you have control over the tool your using whether plastic or nail it doesnt m;atter.
12:17 seconds in your fishy lil ass pokers were in the way and I couldn't see anything, messed my phone up cause I had to guess what that step was, and had to find a new video. 2 outta 10, wouldn't watch again💁🏽♂️

Elena Meszaros is the phone still water resistant or do you heat up the enhesive again?
He put screws with parts so he didnt mix em up.
I am going to be sorting a friends iphone out out tomorrow, changing the screen over so thank you for the help. I will be watching step by step.

Welldone CellularProz for sharing and keep up the good job in helping youtubers fixing their devices my friend.
Thanks a bunch!
Say "Hot Plate" one more time
Shelby Seidel I wanna strangle him... that pissed me off lol
Hot plate, hot plate, hot plate! LOL
Hot plate 😂
Great video. If you can please slow down the video while installing the camera. Recommendation: heat up the screen again to remove flat cables.

Are
You using Glue ?
thank you!!
You're welcome!
thanks for the video! I have a question .. after the iphone 8 lcd exchange, does it continue to approve water? thank you
do you mean does it stay water resistent? sadly no, i never repaired my iphone yet, but alot of videos talk about how since your removing the water resistent adhesive, it will not be resistent anymore, thats why aftrer i repair my phone im having a water proof case being shipped
Is there a reason you can’t use your own water-proof adhesive?

dont you have to use double tape?
Very good nice work

Same here, should have pulled it the other way!! Think it was poor advice to pull that way as the ribbon tears!
@@nathanlang8590 Yea we typically do the homebuttons under a microscope due to how fragile they are.
Don't you need to swap. The nand over for the ambient light sensor to work?
Thank you! I just bought the screen from you. 😀
I'm a idiot. Just bought the wrong one. I have the plus
Does it work well?
My iPhone 8 has black line on the LCD. What's the broken on my LCD?
I wonder if an iphone 7 screen would work on the 8 its the same design
Plus also beware opening up your iPhone 7 and all later models destroys the water barrier gasket seal (its like a one time use seal so opening them destroys it) in them so you either need to buy that gasket seperately or dont allow your phone to get wet!! is iPhone 8 turn on without LCD?
So the very first link is to buy a brand new Screen?
silly question maybe, is it possible to heat it up in the oven? Dont have any of those things but my oven is p accurate, if I set it to like 80C, would that work?

Nice 100 good
Is touch id still working? Is it made in china glass?
Should have unplugged the battery first. Could have shorted that bad boy out!
Thank you😊
Safer to buy screen with Camera assembly and just have to swap the home button. Less chance of broken cables.
You don't have to heat up the iphone 8.
James Dixon it's a preference however you should just makes it easier to take off the lcd
whys that ?. How else do you get the screen off ?.

Howe do I fit the screen back on? The rights side of the screen has screws pointed outwards
He does a b ad job on showing u how to do it
excellent
did apple fix the bricking isuse with copy/ replacement screens
Is it relatively easy to replace the battery too?
there are some screen which is not included home button & camera, will it be ok, if i purchase one with out them since my screen is cracked i don't think i should replace them. any suggestion
Yes you can
the "prying tool" was a broken guitar pick
that's what most kits have it look like, it's surprisingly useful
is the same display for ip8 with ip 7 ?
no
while the screens are compatible and will work with the other device. the fitting is different at the top
the iphone 7 uses a plastic hinge while the iphone 8 uses a metal locking mech
I’ve done 2 IPhone 8 repaid. Both times after doing the repair the phone will not charge past 1% and idea why this is happening?
The screen in the description does not work for the iPhone 8
"now just reverse the steps" thanks so fucking much
question, will most third parties replace screens?
Why nobody uses alcohol? It helps with the glue 😊
Heys guys, recently I fell of my skate board and my phone is having a lil green lcd mark when a black spot is near the lcd area . This is really bothering me, and can I fix this problem without having to open up the Iphone?
OKale nope needs a new screen. I’m sure by now the black dot got bigger too?
The lcd screen isn’t that good and the sides don’t feel smooth
What is the music at the intro ?
Can’t listen to him talking in list form ! 😩
Anytime you work on electronics you should be grounded and using an anti static mat
Did you just get your A+? Ive been fixing electronics for 25 years and have repaired 10,000+ devices and never used a mat and never damaged anything from static electricity.
You shud rename this lcd + glass replacement bc u dont show how to take off lcd from glass. Just wasted my time

Danijel Svitlanović the hell lmao you don't need all those fancy little tools it's just more of a preference
This awful. Focus on the key steps and edit out all of the dross. Couldn't watch it after 5 minutes
Or just use the speed keyboard shortcuts?
12:17 seconds in your fishy lil ass pokers were in the way and I couldn't see anything, messed my phone up cause I had to guess what that step was, and had to find a new video. 2 outta 10, wouldn't watch again💁🏽♂️
