    After watching all Cubase 13 videos I have to say that after this update I'm closer than ever to ditching Waves and start mixing my music fully stock. With new mixer and its slick design it just makes sense to use only what's there. With these plugins and mono/stereo switch I won't even need Waves S1 anymore. Bye bye Waves.

      I’m mixing entire songs with stock plugins, the quality of the new Black Valve comp, Vocal Chain plugin and other adds give me all I need for mixing with great sound results. I still continue to have my Acustica Audio Fire the Clip and Fabfilter L2 on master bus. Just for different reverbs I can use also Eventide BlackHole or ssl Bus comp, but trust me that all Cubase internal plugs have great value and sounds right for all we need for finalize great songs. 😊

    There should be a beat designer button where you add the drum pattern so you can easily make beat on it's own instrument/audio track, depending on if your using plugins or audio samples, instead of that difficult system there is now.

    • @DrBuffaloBalls
      @DrBuffaloBalls 7 месяцев назад +1

      This, ideally it would also be capable of polyrhythms and polymeters, and you could send midi triggers to different instruments, so for example your kick might come from Serum, snare from Vital, etc.

      @@DrBuffaloBalls Yeah and listen to samples in 'beat designer' before you import them into 'beat designer' instead, and the same with drumkit plugins, instead of having to guess because, their names dosen't match what being played.

      @@DrBuffaloBalls This has already been around in Cubase for YEARS now, you need to look at the drum map to do this. It works great and i've been using it for ages to trigger BFD3 and a couple of drum machines at the same time, it works REALLY well too.

    The thing I am most unhappy about Cubase 12 is that when you are scrolling with the mouse wheel trough a project you can change the levels of your tracks and not even know what happened until you play the song and notice something is off. Will you fix this in Cubase 13?

    • @pstephens__
      @pstephens__ 7 месяцев назад +2

      Look in preferences for “Use mouse wheel for fades and volume on events.” Or something very similar to that wording. Uncheck the box. That will solve that for you.

      In Cubase 13 the mouse weel does not change values in mixer view, until you go with the mouse on the channel fader. Finally We can navigate the upper section of the mixer without changing sends or eq or others. The weel still continue to modify values when you open the upper eq on the fly, this is one of the most useful feature of the Cubase mixer.

    Hello, I just viewed your video and noticed that you use a Streamdeck. I just wanted to know if it was possible to open a vst with the Streamdeck. If yes, how? THANKS

    • @terrygray7465
      @terrygray7465 7 месяцев назад

      You can. You have to program it with key commands, macros and the Project Logical Editor. If you don't want to program it yourself, there are a few 3rd party companies that make pre-made sets that can be loaded directly into your stream deck. It's worth a Google.

      Thank you for your prompt response. But I can't find the shortcuts to open kontakt for example. By chance do you have a tutorial link that would explain this?

    Im so glad they ditched the task bar after closing a project . The top bar would always hang up and cause cubase 12 to crash and start in safe mode on next start up

    I would kill someone for a filter with moog HPF and moog LPF just in 1 simple plugin. like FABFILTER simplon, with moog filters.

    Personally it would have been nice to just make it look like the Steinberg stock plugins. I think the blue is a little fuggly.

      the blue sends a message "pultec style", i think its cool@@cali3168

    • @matthewfritz
      @matthewfritz 7 месяцев назад +1

      @Harrysound The sad part about it is that it's about the same blue as the actual Pultec EQP-1A hardware unit it's emulating but with what appears to be the added effect of a light shining down on it from above. That's unfortunately pretty much what the real unit would look like too with that lighting configuration.
      I'll give you this, though: in the quest for realism, it wound up becoming vastly different than the style of the existing plugins and it sticks out like a sore thumb when the rest of the suite is taken into account.

    most people have these plugins from 3rd party plugin developers. Steinberg has to focus on improving workflow and GUI not adding plugins.

      … and fixing long standing bugs,please. I really don’t care about the seventieth pultec emulation, those can be had for free in great quality…

    •  7 месяцев назад +4

      Well… I like to mix with the Cubase stock plugins. That means, bye bye 3rd party!
      The only miss for me is to be able to use those new plugins in the channel strip modules. That would be perfect.
      Great job Steinberg!!
