Rather then make a big mess....I suck the fluid from the top end (about 3 quarts) then the pan drops drown relatively dry....easy peazy

Should swap out the 3-4 accumulator spring while you have the pan off, I didn't on mine and now have an overdrive to rebuild.

The deeper pan off the 48re will bolt on to these, but you have to run a filter extension and an old style 727 filter that isn’t cased. These filters are actually better because they can’t plug up and can pull fluid from all sides. Only downside is you can only use two of the screws that hold the filter in place but have yet to see anyone have a problem with this.

What’s up Najar. I’ve been watching your videos for a min. You kno a lot about the jeeps. Do you have any knowledge on the rear subframe?

You kind of messed up, while you were in there you should have changed the governor solenoid, sensor, accumulator spring and adjust the rear band... Also you can get the dorman pan with drain plug for only $30.

If I were to replace the pan, could I drill a hole to drain the fluid? Theoretically 🤔

Bro I love your videos. I’m currently working on the exact same project and need some help. How exactly did you loosen up and slide the exhaust mount forward? That part is causing me the most trouble. Any help is appreciated 🙏🏽🖤

Did you check to see if the 727 filters which filters far superior due to drawing from all sides works? Its the one that looks like all cloth.

I appreciate your efforts and I appreciate your video content regarding these Chiefs as I got one I look forward to any help I can get but on the other hand your videos are awfully short and they lack a lot of detail....

Good dirty job bud. My '01 Grand, that I lifted w/all adjustable control arms/trac bar (Core 4×4) has a drain plug on the tranny pan. Someone did something right in past service. Of course I bought it used knowing unlimited potential of '99-04 Grand's. I could go on but why didn't you take the time after cleaning to install a drain plug, not hard to do.
