    I've got 3 of those mods installed on my inline stroker.
    1. Can confirm the Viper coil mod is great.
    2. 4 hole injectors great bang for the buck.
    3. The cover kit looks really nice and it's super easy to install.
    *I would like to add on with that clutch fan, having an oil cooler with a second fan helps a lot when your off Roading OR just stuck in traffic all the time.
    ESPECIALLY if you live in the south like I do (Florida).

  • @rodom303

    Injectors were the best engine mod I did to my 4.0 I get 17-22mpg👌
    Another engine mod I would add to the list is throttle body, the factory ones are so small

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  3 года назад +2

      I can’t wait for mine to come in! Oh I haven’t done research on the Throttle body but that would be a good one! What do you recommend for that?

    The viper box is my next upgrade! I've been building my WJ for years! I was pumped when I saw that I can finally Chunk the godforsaken coil rail! I bet I've changed mine at least 5 times over the years!

    I would also recommend getting a transmission cooler kit if you have a 4.0L that didn't come with a factory tow package, they have a tendency to burn the transmission without one and it also cuts out the possibility of getting coolant in the trans fluid if the stock style rad pops.

    I did the K-Suspension 4-hole injectors a few months ago because the #3 injector suffered from the heat soak issue, then started failing. Also installed the heat shield kit from Design Engineering. Now no problems, better mileage and quicker throttle response. Well worth it! Thanks for your excellent videos! I have a 99 WJ.

  • @edeno328
    @edeno328 3 года назад +8

    I have one to add when it comes to the cooling and fan system. I've done this to my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the inline 6. My Jeep came with both the electric fans and the clutch five blade fan since it came with the factory tow hitch. The upgrade is relatively simple. And it will sound a little unorthodox. So check out the other videos on how to install it on youtube. What it is basically you take off that five blade fan that comes with the clutch fan. And you put on the clutch fan from a 4.0 V6 Ford engine. If bolts on. And then you screw it on to where the clutch fan would be. The suction power of that fan is so powerful. That my Jeep rarely goes ever over the middle temperature keep in mind I live in Las Vegas where we hit 110-120. Check out the videos and you'll see what I'm talking about relatively easy

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  3 года назад +1

      I have read up on it! Definitely something I want to do since electric fans do go out!

    • @edeno328
      @edeno328 3 года назад

      I did it after the first year of owning the jeep. Like I said I live in Vegas. and what would happen if I ran the AC and I was at a stop sign. The needle would climb rapidly until I started moving. When I went to check it and look up on it that's when I found the video on youtube. And when I went to go actually do the change when I saw that I had both the electric fans and the clutch fan. Which turns out to be something that she put on all the Jeep Grand Cherokees that come with the tow hitch from the factory. Relatively easy mod you could actually get some of the parts from AutoZone to rent to be able to do that to the clutch. There's a few videos. It works so well that I actually had to change the thermostat cuz I kept getting a check engine light for the engine running or staying too cool.

      @@chillsolo8280 On the I6 you can put a timer on the eletric fan triggered by a thermostat. Even with the insulation kit the fuel line still gets quite hot. Those cats sitting right there.
      If the intake and fuel lines could have been on the passenger side, I wonder how much more horsepower the engine could have developed? But then oil changes would have been more difficult.

    If you know a HVAC guy get some of the copper piping insulation - it’s aluminum coated, and has a foam insulator technology - cut it to the length of your fuel injector rail, cut a line down the middle of the HVAC tube insulation from top to bottom, and put it around the rain and use zip ties to hold it in place. Works great for heat soak

    Love your upgrades. I'm modding for reliability, power and economy.
    I plan to get the fuel rail insulation, upgrade the steering and brakes (from a V8 model) and will consider the coil pack, but know nothing about those yet. Need to connect with Jeepers in my area, as I'm new to Jeeping.
    Have you considered a set of roller rockers, to improve mileage, power, and engine life? I was going to run synthetic oil in mine, until I learned it can't take the high pressure/friction on the lifters/cams/push rods. I had planned to put in a zinc additive to handle the friction, but that clogs the catalytic converter.
    So I'm saving my pennies for a set of roller rockers. Then I can run synthetic and have a bullet-proof straight six.
    Thanks!
