I don’t even have a BMW S1000RR….I have a CBR1000RR but I still watched it anyways. It’s informative to learn how to approach certain situations and I always learn something so Thank you for this video!

Thanks Brian, I used your video to see the correct way to take off the fairings on a S1KRR. After that changing my coolant and oil was way easier! Your calm, professional demeanor lends confidence to the average DIY. I wish you continued success and thanks for the quality videos.

Simply the best! Love the precise guidance for the helpful and much needed information instead of yapping random bullshit and using over the top graphics just to beat around the bush like they do in other popular channels. One can watch other channels for time pass, but if you want precise information on any product or parts, STG is the way to go!

I find its good practice to draw a simple picture of the fairings on cardboard and stick the bolts into where they would go on the real bike. Its helped me keep them in order and make sure they go in the same place.

    Great video as usual Brian.
With all of the torx screws I hope you don't mind me making a small suggestion.
When I first worked on my bike, I used thin cardboard representing the side of the bike and a small nail to make a hole for the locations of the screws. You then push the screw partially through the cardboard and you have a placement pattern for easy replacement.
Keep up with the great videos!!

just recently purchased a 2017 S1000RR and sold my 2016 R1. Man this video is super helpful! But coming from the Yamaha, the BMW sure is heck a lot more annoying to work on. The quarter turn fasteners from Yamaha really need to be on every bike.

I like it but would have been good to show how to split the rear section as there is a hidden screw in there which can cause problems. I scuffed my rear panel with my boot and will be removing it soon so your video has been helpful.

If you are referring to race bodywork take a look at the Armour Bodies on our site. Here is a link: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/parts/bmw/s1000rr/2013?_bc_fsnf=1&brand=95 This is the same brand we are running on our MotoAmerica bikes this season. - Van

I’m new to motorcycles, do you think BMW builds a better product than the traditional motorcycle manufacturers? Is their expertise in cars carried over, build quality, better technology, reliability etc, or are the Japanese and Italians better at building motorcycles than BMW. Unusual question I know, just curious. Very informative video. 👍

This is Jimmy's bike, I have a GSXR1000 and prefer the Japanese bikes myself. Both are good, I just prefer the Japanese. - Van
