The paint on paint definitely a design issue, your know how and maintenence probably saved you a lot of long term costly repairs. Hope you guys have an awesome week.
Nice work Bryan, small repairs done well can prevent larger issues later. That's great information for other people with the same type machine. Now lets see how those bearings are.. Have fun with it my friend.
I would never have check that unless I heard about it on the FB group for sure......the bearings on one side were fine so I left the other side alone........didn't film that sorry..........thanks for tuning in and commenting as usually Larry.
It's important to network with communities. There is a lot of knowledge to share for owners of similar equipment. And making a video and tagging it will help others troubleshoot and maintain their equipment. Enjoy the Journey - Cheers
That's right Bob being in this goup saved my bacon on this one for sure............everyone has some knowledge to share..........Thanks for tuning in and commenting.
That's right........just these cheaper peices require a little more sometimes.......I'll take it for the money we saved.........thanks for watching and commenting Pat...
How's she goin'? This was a close one eh. The bolts being loose was a sure sign it would fail. That would have ruined your afternoon!! I was looking at these Chinese mini excavators. I almost bought one. Do you think they're worth the cost? Take care!!
It was a good catch for sure Mike..........are these things worth the money..........most definately.................for 10K or less it's about 1/3 of those little Kobota tractor's and I believe they dig much better.........I had and still do have a lot of digging to do with this unit........just yesterday I dug a 70ft power line in with it and I am willing to bet I did it better and faster than a backhoe would do it..........it would depend on what type of work you want to do with it..........with the Kobota's you have all the attachment's that you can get for it for various jobs........I don't have a need or want any of those and I have mostly digging and landscaping.........and of course back filling........load and dump to do with it and it is performing awesome...........I am willing to say that this one is right about paid for it's self by now.....no doubt.........all that being said you have to do some fixing and maintenance that you wouldn't do with a Kobota...........but you are paying $30k + for that...........I'll take my Chinese Mini any day............thanks for tuning in and commenting Mike.
Well.......I would use "like" lightly...........it's my trade and background so it comes pretty natural to me, therefore I save a lot of money doing my own work for sure..........thanks for tuning in and commenting.
The repair is holding up and I am putting lots of hours on this machine.......she has almost paid for it's self right about now.
Your so right about painted surfaces on that kind of thing. Great idea to be part of a group that own those machines. Nice job!
Yes, I am sure the paint contributed to the issue..........thanks for tuning in and commenting Brian.

After yesterday the work I did with it.......she's paid for now.........she's paying again now......LOL......thanks for the comment......
Need to check the bolt on the gear. If it comes lose and slide down then hang up on frame and that cause housing to break
I did on the video it was tight but I torqued it a little more also.......thanks for the comment.
Machinery require maintenance unfortunately.
