Hi, one bonus of getting home is that you had a new zealand summer, and now experience another summer, and missing two winters. 😁 as you may know, we here in NZ are now level two, and things are semi mormal, shops/malls are open , and people can do there usual thing, look forward to the rest of your vlogs of your trip
True, that’s been so nice 😆 I’m so glad things are getting back to normal over there- it seems like the prime minister really did the right thing and it’s working well for NZ!
@@DareToElsewhere yes but I've never used it to stay with anyone. I can't see myself staying with a complete stranger. But theres a feature called "hangouts" where you can meet all the travelers in the area which has been super fun. Bummed about your early nz departure though. Wondering if you get a possible re-do cause of the Rona🤣
@Alex Varnado Yeah I think I would be too nervous to stay with a random person! But I never knew about that! That sounds like such a cool way to meet people, I'll have to check it out! Are there any cool places/countries you've tried that out in? And I know! 😢 They haven't said anything about my visa yet, but either way I'll have to eventually do New Zealand round two 😂
@@DareToElsewhere oh yeah definitely all over Europe it works. O don't think it works too well in America just cause our cities are so big and everyone usually has to drive to meet up unlike European cities where most people in the vicinity can just take a train to meet. I've had groups of up to about 60 people meet up before, it's so fun. I think my best experiences with it so far have been Budapest or Istanbul. I used to live in Saudi Arabia so there wasn't much there. For some reason in Dubai, millionaires like to use it to show off their crazy homes to a bunch of strangers🤣. Couchsurfing has been some of my most fun travel experiences haha. I came across your videos because I have about 7 weeks to take off work and wondering where I should go. I'm in Afghanistan right now and I'm thinking of either a big eurotrip again or Australia/New Zealand/Tokyo.
Really enjoyed the videos. Great effort. Those were tough times. Hope you got the money for your van back.
Thanks🙂 They were, I managed to get half of the money back, so that was something
Incredibly disappointing end to your stay. Loved the dog reunion x
Such a surreal experience, captured it perfectly :)
Made me teary eyed but GREAT documentation!

Also, do you try couchsurf?
No I’ve never tried it! Have you?

You played the national anthem when you landed in LA... hopefully you know Honolulu is part of the US🤣
I promise I do😂 Just didn’t have any footage of myself in Honolulu 😂
Hey the travelling alone questions are about being a drug mule I am fairly sure!
