So sorry that happened to you Mell. It sounds like such an unpleasant and frustrating experience. I’m glad you’re feeling a little better now though and that you found out that you could be allowed to refrain from wearing the mask because of your asthma. I know that’s been a hot topic here in the US, some people who have medical conditions not wearing masks and then getting in trouble for it even though we have a right not to, and some people pretending they have medical conditions and they don’t just so you don’t have to wear a mask. How was the hospital with Accessibility when you went? Were they good about you having Penny where we did they give you a hard time?

It was certainly a different experience, not one I wish to repeat. As for accessibility at the hospital, they love having the dog, some of the staff treat her better than they do me… Oh the stories I could tell.

LOL, you should make a video about some of those stories. They sound quite entertaining. I hope you fully recover soon.

This is really not what we’re talking about right now but I swear I thought I heard Donald Trump on the news when she was talking about having asthma. When I was a kid I used to have asthma I guess it’s not as frequent now but when my blood pressure gets too high it is hard for me to breathe. I also have a week immune system and adrenal sufficiency something along those lines. So when I wear a mask after 10 minutes it starts getting hard for me to breathe

You are absolutely correct, I had the 6pm news on my radeo when I was filming after I got home from the hospital and President Trump was talking ... we get sound bites from him here in Australia every time he makes a starteling, revenlutionary or out there statement.
As for your health, yes, I know a lot of people who mannage to lose their asthmatic simptems with becoming an adult, but some people do not. I also know of plenty of people who over-come their simptems, but like yourself have other health difficulties which exacerbate their asthma.

I’m sorry to hear you had a stroke, they are not pleasant things. I hope you become more healthy. It isn’t nice when you go through things like this. I try to think to myself though: well, I know I’m not well, I know I’m suffering, there is someone in the world who is suffering more than I am though.

Congratulations on the negative test. It sounds like the mask isn’t helping with your asthma. I am extremely claustrophobic and can barely stand wearing the mask for more than 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Especially here in the US in the summertime going on when you have something over your face and it’s extremely hot. Now most businesses require that you wear a mask, and I actually dread going anywhere. Leaving my apartment and going somewhere involves wearing the mask and wearing the mask usually involves a panic attack.

I am currently trying not to go anywhere. I have decided that I’m going to get my support worker to go into shops when I need her to but order my groceries to be delivered from now on. I am also not going to get public transport anywhere anymore until masks are no longer mandatory because I don’t want to get abused. It is a complicated, scary and frustrating world we currently live in.
