Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, The Damned, Shadow of the Cat, Straight On Till Morning, The Old Dark House(comedy horror directed by William Castle produced by Hammer), The Nanny are also great films. I wish Warner would release Hammer's Hysteria(thriller/horror). Vampire Lovers, Lust For a Vampire & Twins of Evil are a trilogy based on Sheridan Le Fanu's novella "Camilla". I love Hammer horror, some of the my absolute fave horror films ever, especially the vampire flicks. Horror of Dracula, Brides of Dracula and Vampire Lovers(Germany has a really beautiful uncut version), Twins of Evil, and Vampire Circus are my faves. Australasia had a Blu Ray release of The Quatermass Experiment. The disc also includes as bonus features: Quatermass 2, and X The Unknown. Great video, really enjoyed your collection.

@@MondoChelloveckMovies Yeah, me and my Hubby love Hammer horror films! Some of the best films ever! We almost have a complete collection on Blu Ray, just missing a couple, one of which doesn't even have a release yet on Blu Ray(Hysteria), and Satanic Rites of Dracula(we have it on DVD, but it's not a fave sadly). There's nothing wrong with the UK and US Blu Rays of Vampire Lovers, :). Anolis in Germany released a really nice Blu Ray back in 2016 which included a few more seconds, at the start of the film where the first vampire is beheaded, before the opening credits. You see more of the severed head on the ground which does tidy up the sequence a little, but yeah, its a few seconds only, so it depends on how fussy you are,lol. But it does make it the most complete version released to date. It's a really nice looking Blu Ray overall too, really happy with the restoration work on that release. Apparently it was re-released by another German studio(HanseSound) in 2020. As you can tell I really love The Vampire Lovers,lol. My Hubby & I are very envious of you having a autograth of Ingrid Pitt.....That is so awesome! :)

The BRIDES OF DRACULA (1958) always gets skeptical reviews from Lee-Dracula fans, which is disappointing because this movie has some of the best work Hammer ever did. The story and editing are tight, sets are really superb and the lighting in particular is wonderful, the colors being vibrant and beautiful. The cast too is one of the strongest Hammer ever put together and includes the fabulous Martita Hunt and all the usual sensational veteran Hammerites. I re-watch this film more than any other Hammer movie beside the 1958 Dracula.

Great video and you need to watch some of your Blu-rays! You've got a great collection of films and you can't beat the Hammer films . You're very knowledgeable about the films and your love for them shines through.I think Christopher Lee was the ultimate Dracula and Peter Cushing the definite Frankenstein.

@@MondoChelloveckMovies I think in particular the original remakes are the definite version of each story.For example I still think the first Dracula film in 1958 is the best ever version, even though it might be on a low budget.Their Frankenstein in 1957 is incredible and of course on a low budget also.Though I think the best monster will always be Boris Karloff who was only 5 foot 11 by the way .Though Peter Cushing gives a marvelous performance in Curse Of Frankenstein and you really understand why he's so driven.I think Hammer tried to remake many old films including King Kong in 1966 but instead remade One Million Years BC.

good haul, I'd highly recommend Hands of the Ripper, quite bloody in parts and with excellent acting, story and cinematography from the director Peter Sasdy of Taste the Blood of Dracula and Countess Dracula.

And X the unknown . They have also released a brilliant Blu ray / DVD of Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter.. these 2 are well worth picking up.😎

I am about to start collecting the Hammer Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy - I would love to get them in 4K or even a Blu-ray complete collector set but something tells me with all the different studios involved and the cost that those sets are never going to happen and probably never going to get 4K releases...

Actually at the moment collecting a lot of the Hammer stuff (especially Frankenstein & Dracula) isn't too difficult (for the most part) I think it's easier at the moment than it was say 10 years ago, best thing about them is there isn't too many versions of these movies around so you can pick knowing you will get a great version, the first Frankenstein film The Curse of Frankenstein, get the US version as the UK version's picture quality isn't up to much!! Speaking of 4k I think your right, too many companies are going down the Hammer route and I would think only maybe the first Dracula might get the 4k treatment!! Saying that the blu rays can look pretty spectacular Gordon 😁😁👌👌 have a good time collecting them, shop around for good deals mate and Merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎄🎄🤩🤩👍👍

You are definitely right about it being easy to collect Hammer right now - between Amazon US and Amazon UK I can get all the Dracula films on Blu-ray. The only one for some reason that is not available anymore on Blu-ray is Dracula has risen from the grave (which is one of my favorites) - is available for cheap on DVD, and there is one Blu-ray Media book I believe from Germany on eBay but they want over $50 for it.... i’m really hoping that someone re-releases that one Dracula film on Blu-ray would be a shame not to have a complete set...
@GordonKWaddell cheers Gordon 🤩🤩👍👍 yeah that one seems to be a but tricky at the moment mate, what I would probably advise you to do is pick the Frankenstein and Dracula ones off to avoid disappointment in the future and then you know if they go oop you won't gave the same problem, but keep a search going on RUclips for Risen from the grave, I got mine really cheaply a while back and hopefully you can snag one cheaper if you keep an eye out on these (hopefully in the future it'll get a re release) the blu ray I have looks great by the way but its bare bones Gordon 🤩👍 if you get a version of it for under £20 I say go for it 🤔🤩🤩👍👍

What did you think of Kiss of the Vampire? I thought it was an amazing film, one of Hammer's best despite not having Messrs Cushing and Lee. Captain Kronos is a must, Caroline Munroe has never looked better - jaw droppingly beautiful in this film (even though she's jaw droppingly beautiful in every film, lol)...
great vid, someone has probably already said in the comments but a few hammer films were created two at a time to save money on sets etc. i always thought clegg and werewolf were a likely pair.

Always loved Hammer, I've built up my collection in recent years. I'm very lucky to have The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires on Blu ray, it's an American release. I love the idea of vampires and martial arts! Peter Cushing always elevates a film!

Maybe go for your favourites or ones that have more extras or much better picture quality, check them out on blu ray .com as they usually give the best info! I agree that it's daunting taking on a new franchise in a new format 😵💫 if I had to make the jump to 4k for all of them I would feel the same Richard, I think if you do some research it will definitely help you in your quest if you want to do it! We almost have a complete collection on Blu Ray, just missing a couple, one of which doesn't even have a release yet on Blu Ray(Hysteria), and Satanic Rites of Dracula(we have it on DVD, but it's not a fave sadly).
There's nothing wrong with the UK and US Blu Rays of Vampire Lovers, :). Anolis in Germany released a really nice Blu Ray back in 2016 which included a few more seconds, at the start of the film where the first vampire is beheaded, before the opening credits. You see more of the severed head on the ground which does tidy up the sequence a little, but yeah, its a few seconds only, so it depends on how fussy you are,lol. But it does make it the most complete version released to date. It's a really nice looking Blu Ray overall too, really happy with the restoration work on that release. Apparently it was re-released by another German studio(HanseSound) in 2020. As you can tell I really love The Vampire Lovers,lol.

The BRIDES OF DRACULA (1958) always gets skeptical reviews from Lee-Dracula fans, which is disappointing because this movie has some of the best work Hammer ever did. The story and editing are tight, sets are really superb and the lighting in particular is wonderful, the colors being vibrant and beautiful. The cast too is one of the strongest Hammer ever put together and includes the fabulous Martita Hunt and all the usual sensational veteran Hammerites. I re-watch this film more than any other Hammer movie beside the 1958 Dracula.

Great video and you need to watch some of your Blu-rays! You've got a great collection of films and you can't beat the Hammer films . You're very knowledgeable about the films and your love for them shines through.I think Christopher Lee was the ultimate Dracula and Peter Cushing the definite Frankenstein.

@@MondoChelloveckMovies I think in particular the original remakes are the definite version of each story.For example I still think the first Dracula film in 1958 is the best ever version, even though it might be on a low budget.Their Frankenstein in 1957 is incredible and of course on a low budget also.Though I think the best monster will always be Boris Karloff who was only 5 foot 11 by the way .Though Peter Cushing gives a marvelous performance in Curse Of Frankenstein and you really understand why he's so driven.I think Hammer tried to remake many old films including King Kong in 1966 but instead remade One Million Years BC.

good haul, I'd highly recommend Hands of the Ripper, quite bloody in parts and with excellent acting, story and cinematography from the director Peter Sasdy of Taste the Blood of Dracula and Countess Dracula.

And X the unknown . They have also released a brilliant Blu ray / DVD of Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter.. these 2 are well worth picking up.😎

I am about to start collecting the Hammer Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy - I would love to get them in 4K or even a Blu-ray complete collector set but something tells me with all the different studios involved and the cost that those sets are never going to happen and probably never going to get 4K releases...

Actually at the moment collecting a lot of the Hammer stuff (especially Frankenstein & Dracula) isn't too difficult (for the most part) I think it's easier at the moment than it was say 10 years ago, best thing about them is there isn't too many versions of these movies around so you can pick knowing you will get a great version, the first Frankenstein film The Curse of Frankenstein, get the US version as the UK version's picture quality isn't up to much!! Speaking of 4k I think your right, too many companies are going down the Hammer route and I would think only maybe the first Dracula might get the 4k treatment!! Saying that the blu rays can look pretty spectacular Gordon 😁😁👌👌 have a good time collecting them, shop around for good deals mate and Merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎄🎄🤩🤩👍👍

You are definitely right about it being easy to collect Hammer right now - between Amazon US and Amazon UK I can get all the Dracula films on Blu-ray. The only one for some reason that is not available anymore on Blu-ray is Dracula has risen from the grave (which is one of my favorites) - is available for cheap on DVD, and there is one Blu-ray Media book I believe from Germany on eBay but they want over $50 for it.... i’m really hoping that someone re-releases that one Dracula film on Blu-ray would be a shame not to have a complete set...
@GordonKWaddell cheers Gordon 🤩🤩👍👍 yeah that one seems to be a but tricky at the moment mate, what I would probably advise you to do is pick the Frankenstein and Dracula ones off to avoid disappointment in the future and then you know if they go oop you won't gave the same problem, but keep a search going on RUclips for Risen from the grave, I got mine really cheaply a while back and hopefully you can snag one cheaper if you keep an eye out on these (hopefully in the future it'll get a re release) the blu ray I have looks great by the way but its bare bones Gordon 🤩👍 if you get a version of it for under £20 I say go for it 🤔🤩🤩👍👍

What did you think of Kiss of the Vampire? I thought it was an amazing film, one of Hammer's best despite not having Messrs Cushing and Lee. Captain Kronos is a must, Caroline Munroe has never looked better - jaw droppingly beautiful in this film (even though she's jaw droppingly beautiful in every film, lol)...

Always loved Hammer, I've built up my collection in recent years. I'm very lucky to have The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires on Blu ray, it's an American release. I love the idea of vampires and martial arts! Peter Cushing always elevates a film!

Now there's a thing James!! 🤔🤔 I don't think I've ever read a book on Hammer, but I did read (and still have Horror books from the 70s that went into a lot of Hammer movies 👍 a really good one is a pictorial history of Horror movies by Dennis Gifford on Hamlyn books, from around 1974...... it can be found on ebay but I would imagine there has to be books on Hammer Horror itself....try Alan Scouser on here, he is a huge Hammer and book fan he might help you out more James 🤔🤩🤩 thanks mate love me a good Hammer movie 😁😁👌👌

So many films and the thought of starting from scratch again only completed the Hammer Film's collection on DVD only a couple of years ago and what that cost too, I'm still undecided about making the switch to Blu ray because I know once I get started I could get carried away. Ummmm.....????
Maybe go for your favourites or ones that have more extras or much better picture quality, check them out on blu ray .com as they usually give the best info! I agree that it's daunting taking on a new franchise in a new format 😵💫 if I had to make the jump to 4k for all of them I would feel the same Richard, I think if you do some research it will definitely help you in your quest if you want to do it! Some dvds might still be better on that format so you might not have to upgrade the full lot 🤞🤩 good luck mate 😁😁👍👍
