I was there and it was a very impressive effect. It was surprising how long it lasted, even with some wind.

Just saw this. Your fog came out looking great too! Can't get over how well this works. It's a bit of a pricey build, but worth it.

Thank you! and yeah, but the lack of baby-sitting the setup is awesome. I did rebuild the housing and got myself a float (again, pricey, but one less moving part). I should do a quick video of the new container, fans, tubing, connections that I made. Super awesome stuff - I bet you'll recognize some of the items that you inspired.

Just wanted to say thanks again for posting this and sharing your design and build on this piece of equipment. The effect is great. You inspired me to build one after I saw your original video. I have been acquiring the parts and should have it ready to go for next year. I have a slight design modification that once tested I will share with you. Thank you for all the energy and effort you put into your content and sharing your knowledge.

Thank you, that means a lot to hear this feedback. I am happy to share back to the Halloween community. I learned a lot from the shared knowledge over the years - this is the least I could do to pay it back.
I would love to hear the mods that you do to this project! Always striving to make it better!

The duct and fan? I have used a ducting for a long time. The fan is a new addition for 2021. The fan makes a nice steady flow - I'm glad I tried it.

@@intocoasters the ultrasonic mister and fog combo

Thanks for the post.... this reminds me of my issue with the one I put together last year's Halloween (check my channel, 2021 video) I purchased the floater for the mister so that avoids the recirculation pump, that was a good move, it's more expensive for what it is, but it saves on the complexity. So... my issue was that I used a large tote (with wheels) for the fog chamber/tank... and it was impossible to seal it up, I went through a lot of trial and error... mostly error with sealing weather strips, after tinkering and getting frustrated I ended up just duct tapping the $&#@!*! out of it and even then it still leaked a bit... (ugh!) So I need a better solution for a better and new fog chamber this year... Any tips/pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am subscribed to your channel, I remember seeing that video.
I also bought a float to try it out. It does save on complexity for sure. My initial thought with the recirculating pump was to run the water through a radiator on the outside to cool the water down as it gets quite warm during use. It turns out, the warm water had a negligible effect on the fog so I am comfortable with the float.
I will do a breakdown video of what I'm using now. I found a locking tool chest that had a rubber seal where the lid meets the body. It's very well sealed all on its own. A couple penetrations for the wiring were sealed with silicone.
Using the fan to have a constant draw from the fog chamber helps I think.
So yeah, I'll see if I can shoot a video explaining my current setup this weekend.

@@intocoasters Yes please another video, It would be great to see how you made the chamber... maybe it should be called the fog mix chamber? Hmmm... well, that's not a bad name for it. What I think is going on with the water and fog (vapor) is it much hotter than the water that it doesn't need to be cooled too much to make it heavy and drop down... I would guess that there is a water temp that would be ineffective, but with this design it would not be encountered... just a guess.

@@raymitchell9736 I had a lot of issue with sealing a tote as well. I found a large tool chest that had a top I could more easily seal worked way better. A couple of people have said they found tool chests with a gasket already built in that worked perfect.

@@OakLaneCemetery I need to invest in something like that, I was frustrated chasing leaks... and now I've got this enormous tote that I need to seal up and use as a "tote" Do you have any recommendations on the tool chest totes, like HD? or Lowes?? I just don't want to waste time and money on finding out that one would be easier than the other AFTER I make the purchase and cut into it. Thanks.

@@raymitchell9736 I used a kobalt box from Lowes, but still had to use rtv to seal the lid. It would be better to have one of the ones with a built in gasket. Just be sure there are no vent holes or gaps around the handles and hinges.
