He was pushed around alot like Frans Steyn. But he could've been such a great flyhalf he was just before his time we still played the Morne Steyn type flyhalf. I thought he was great at Fullback.
What a legend. I was 10 years old in 2010 when he scored those 2 tries in the Currie cup final. I grew up watching Lambie and Messi. So privileged. 🙌 My 2 childhood heroes
This is so sad but the most important part is he is healthy and I wish him the best health possible after all sport is fun but there is more to life than sport and I am glad Patrick is doing well in life
Loved this chap from when he was still doing the most at Craven week to playing for the Springboks till that unfortunate incident. A true generational player of note. Glad to see you doing well Pat
Super interview, particularly for young players coming up through the ranks. What a pity SA Rugby didn’t provide the support he needed at the time. I hope things have changed
I can not imagine what it’s like to walk away from your passion and forgive and make the best of the choices available. Damn, all of SA rugby fans was hoping that Lambie would recover. Just to watch him play was inspiring.
Pat was my hero when I was growing up. I'll never forget his performance in the 2010 Currie Cup final, and seeing him named in the Bok squad for the first time right afterwards. Still heartbreaking to see him talk about it
Pat Lambie, aside from the injury, our coaches at the time completely mismanaged what should have been a glorious career. Wish him all the best moving forward
A most regrettable incident that robbed SA of a rugby super-hero. Great too see how Pat has moved on to other green pastures. Sometimes life has other plans for us.
Hey Pat, that's awsome to be honest with us re your mental challenges. Every man, sportsman or not, should on the regular, see a professional to chat to. There is no shame for men, actually wuite the opposite. We'll done Pat and good luck for the future
Pat Lambie has been and always will be my rugby hero🫶 i used to pretend to be Pat in my garden when "kicking for posts"😂 we even share a birthday 😅 Much love Pat ❤
Hi Pat, I hope you read this, I am so glad you can walk and talk because that hit was rough man - no blame on anyone but it was the worst car crash I ever seen in rugby. so glad you ok.
Yes but these are never intentional. He had I think 4 concussions previous to that incident. I’m not sure how the processes were back then . And stander has been very open about how he has tried to make it up
I used to play rugby when I was in middleschool-highschool. I was pretty good, i even got selected to the best 30 of my region to play a national tournament my last year. I got hit in the head more than once but one time falling to the hard and dry ground I completely lost my sight for some seconds, felt dizzy and bad for the rest of the day. Not even comparable to the injury he got, yet after that I decided that sport is too dangerous and quit. Yall stay safe out there, unless you 100% love that game it's not worthy risk your life for something so stupid and rugby is VERY dangerous
I remember watching that game and thinking it was careless by CJ but definitely not on purpose, it was a really tough hit and I'm sorry that happened to Pat. Love from Ireland.
Yeah I suppose you were sickened by RG outrageous tackle on Craig Casey , and that pig ignorant prick didn’t have the decency to this day to check and see how Casey is. It seems this might be a SA trait…shame on SAs they don’t mind doing it to their own and don’t care about doing it to others…
he was the golden boy of springbok rugby 😥😥
He was pushed around alot like Frans Steyn. But he could've been such a great flyhalf he was just before his time we still played the Morne Steyn type flyhalf. I thought he was great at Fullback.
As, Boyhood Sharks fan loosing Pat was heart breaking! Still hurts, we love you Pat. Sharks forever!!

Bryan really knows how to draw out a question
Bro he drag the F out of that question 😂....not to mention the ad libs while Pat is telling his story
In my head I was saying: "juuust get to it please".
@@SiyoyoStofile-kw6yhYeah, BH should learn to ask Qs & let interviewee speak, instead of going off on his own soliloquy
Yirrr Bryan, get to the point.
This is so sad but the most important part is he is healthy and I wish him the best health possible after all sport is fun but there is more to life than sport and I am glad Patrick is doing well in life
We miss you dude, all the best.
Loved this chap from when he was still doing the most at Craven week to playing for the Springboks till that unfortunate incident. A true generational player of note. Glad to see you doing well Pat
Still my favourite Springbok 10. What a legend.
Pat Lambie is a yster! Such a pity that he couldn't retire on his own terms. Huge fan!
Nice seeing U guys again was also my heroes days back😘
Big love Pat - hard to be open and honest about a difficult period in one's life. One of the best to play in the Green and Gold.
Key lesson is having a solid education behind you which Pat put in place.
My favourite player of all time. What could have been?
One of the best number 10 in the world.. was so sad when he stopped playing..
We love you Pat . Absolutely World class and i think Rassie can take you in the Bok team as a kicking coach
Super interview, particularly for young players coming up through the ranks. What a pity SA Rugby didn’t provide the support he needed at the time. I hope things have changed
A very VERY important point you raise. I also hope the same.
My respect to you, Lambie and Habana
I can not imagine what it’s like to walk away from your passion and forgive and make the best of the choices available. Damn, all of SA rugby fans was hoping that Lambie would recover. Just to watch him play was inspiring.
Pat was my hero when I was growing up. I'll never forget his performance in the 2010 Currie Cup final, and seeing him named in the Bok squad for the first time right afterwards. Still heartbreaking to see him talk about it
special guy and we were robbed of his talent - good to see him healthy and happy :)
Pat Lambie, aside from the injury, our coaches at the time completely mismanaged what should have been a glorious career. Wish him all the best moving forward
According to John Smit Lambie was hugely respectful to the senior guys when he joined the Boks. He even called Bakkies "Oom".
absolute legend, he was one of the better 10s
A most regrettable incident that robbed SA of a rugby super-hero. Great too see how Pat has moved on to other green pastures. Sometimes life has other plans for us.
I like this guy Lambie a lot during his playing days!
Hey Pat, that's awsome to be honest with us re your mental challenges. Every man, sportsman or not, should on the regular, see a professional to chat to. There is no shame for men, actually wuite the opposite. We'll done Pat and good luck for the future
This guy could have two world cups. As an Irish fan it's great to see he's healthy. Horrific luck
I loved this boy
As an Irishman sad to hear this story. He was a quality player really enjoyed him playing
Man I loved Pat!
Pat Lambie has been and always will be my rugby hero🫶 i used to pretend to be Pat in my garden when "kicking for posts"😂 we even share a birthday 😅

Habana is actually a great interviewer.
I think so too and he'll get better and better
Hi Pat, I hope you read this, I am so glad you can walk and talk because that hit was rough man - no blame on anyone but it was the worst car crash I ever seen in rugby. so glad you ok.
Such a great player
Pat was a fantastic player 👏
Remember Pats great kick from his own half to beat the All Black!
You are a humble giant of the game Pat! We salute you!
Pat! One of the best!
CJ Stander ended his career. A South African to another fellow South African, what a shame
Yes but these are never intentional. He had I think 4 concussions previous to that incident. I’m not sure how the processes were back then . And stander has been very open about how he has tried to make it up
Anybody remember that ad "Hi im Patrick Lambie, and i use Nivea for men" ? Eneways,he was a excellent flyhalf, great player, and had a great set of hair
His health is more important than rugby. He's still a young man with his whole life ahead of him.
This camera lense is awful. Why they using wide angle for a one on one interview????
What a legend duo you and Mcload were at the Sharks
Pat, you are a legend mate! Respect
beloved by those who know the game

stand up guy
what a beautiful sunset over kings park.
I think that's sunrise. The screen is on the north end and the shade is coming from the east stand side.
@@DonovanBanks you reckon? Okay.
Remember Pat handing of Schalk Burger to score a try
So sad😢
Will never forget that Currie Cup final being behind the poles when he showed Schalke Burger the hand of god
I remember watching that game and thinking it was careless by CJ but definitely not on purpose, it was a really tough hit and I'm sorry that happened to Pat. Love from Ireland.
What a sad way to go out. Professional sport can be cruel and unforgiving for sure.
LAMBO
A loss to SA rugby, but glad to see him doing well.
I’m very biter about how this man’s Bok career ended. Now he has to on top interviews and pretend it’s all okay
If only Lambie was around for Erasmus. Coetzee was a bit of a crazy time.
And he was ignored under the Meyer era, we all know why! Morne' Steyn was a warrior apparently.
Genuine question as i have no clue.. why was he ignored by Meyer? @@NickSterson
@@divannavid4576He is english
Sho.. when I rewatch that i still grimace
supersport really tried to copy Rugbypass Walk And Talk and somehow they make it look and sound like it was filmed on an old nokia
😢👍🙏🙏
I was at MHS with him. He should have a a long career!
CJ sunder will never win s(anything)t! ever.
C J Stander destroyed his reputation with the dirty hit.
So sad. 😒
C J Stander will never been forgiven! He ended the career of what I though to be the best flyhalf SA had
Yeah an RG may have done the same to Craig Casey , and he didn’t even get a card 😢
You can’t look at it that way. I think pat had 4 concussions up up to that incident
Bryan lyk of hy Nog n toets of drie in hom het. Kom Doc Rassie, maak n plan
He was such a talent, what a waste! 😢
It's crazy how many SA players have ended the careers of fellow pros.

Still haven't forgiven CJ Stander for that atrocious hip check in the face. Miss you Pat.

more of this
No, it was intentional and it’s time CJ comes clean.
Lose the Coloured. He is not interviewer material.
You newer cross your arms in a interview , bad bad 😮
Habana sucks 😮was a great player but as a interviewer no😮
Completely delusional. He's doing a great job.
I despise CJ for what he did!

It was an accident mate
Yep. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know rugby. These things do happen it’s sad but it is part of the game
