  • The 2021 Australian Championship for the Historical 10-footers was held on May 1-3 on the Brisbane River. In a fleet of seven boats it all boiled down to a contest between Dale Jacobsen in Miss Marlene (NSW) winner on Lake Macquarie NSW in 2019, and John Anderson in Truant II (Queensland) the winner 3 years ago in Brisbane. Coming into the final race they are equal on points...who will win the final race and the series? Footage taken and commentary by Ian Smith President of the Australian Historical Sailing Skiff Association on the spectator boat.

My Great Uncle Tommy Brothers sailed a champion 6 footer named Truant. My grandfather told me he once attempted to put an 18 footers no 3 rig in it. When they put it in the water the weight of the rig sent it straight to the bottom.
