I agree. They were always really good. I've been trying to watch some American programmes of the era like this, and I think I'm running out. I've watched Cannon, Diagnosis Murder, Trapper John, just started to watch Kojak, and now I've found this. I know they're not all QM Productions, but I've been enjoying them all just the same. :0)
