    well here it is 2022 and I need to replace the battery in my 2014 Venza key fob. this video helped me so much and probably save me a ton of money not having a dealer "fix" this. thanks for the great info.

    This video helped me, extremely! It was getting scary with not being able to consistently start and/or unlock my vehicle using the remote key fob! The manual key is also a tool to open the fob to access the battery! How convenient! And I even had a CR32 battery in my home! Very helpful video! Thank you!

    I have purchased CR1632 Panasonic and Energizer cell batteries and within a few days, they're dead. Don't understand this at about $8.00-$10.00 a pop. How ridiculous. I do keep batteries in the refrigerator. Thanks for video, good one!

    Thanks Chris! but you could open the cover while Toyota logo facing you(according to user manual), so to avoid touching inside electronic board if your hand with static.

      Can't be avoided. I have replaced hundreds of these without issue. They can also be dropped from 4 ft. without breaking. Very resilient little things.

    My 2012 Camry key fob takes a CR 2032 battery. I opened it carefully and never had to touch the circuitry.
