- A man set himself on fire Friday outside the Manhattan courthouse where former President Donald Trump is on trial in his "hush money" case. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames, and the man was taken to a local hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition. Jericka Duncan reports.

Nope, but I have smelled a decubitus being cauterized on the floor. I wasn't in the room, that flesh was sizzling we could hear and smell it. It gets in your nostrils and takes hours for you to stop smelling it. You feel as if it's your hair, skin, and clothes. I was a young nurse so I didn't follow up on what happened to those surgeons. Today, I know that's a procedure that should be done in the operating room. I am sure they were harshly reprimanded.

And to think there are some people who have likened this guy to the Buddhist monk who set himself on fire at an intersection in Saigon in June of 1963. That's just wrong. The monk who set himself on fire had a more understandable reason: it was to protest South Vietnam's president Ngo Dinh Diem showing an unfair amount of favoritism to the small amount of Catholics in South Vietnam; much to the disgust of South Vietnam's Buddhist majority.

Its totally obvious ! He has severe mental illness. He just got off probation in Florida. A few days ago I'm surprised his probation officer didn't notice his mental health ! Issues ! He's in grave condition not expected to survive ! Prays for the family.
Too many times mental illness is recognized BUT there are no effective services or places for these tormented people to go to be "safe".
