  • A floor plan is a scaled diagram or sketch of a room or building viewed from above. The floor plan may depict an entire building, one floor of a building, or a single room. It may also include measurements, furniture, appliances, or anything else necessary to the purpose of the plan.
Use librecad to create a floor plan its very easy, faster, and fun.

Excellent thanks. The fist tutorial I found which takes me through straightforward instruction. No problem with music - just mute it.

I have no idea about floor plan at all, but the only thing that confused me was the length. I'm happy with my results, thank you!

Thanks for recording this tutorial. May I suggest using colours with more contrast e.g red and yellow as several layers appear the same on my monitor

Canned music was completely unnecessary. Just put "no audio" somewhere on the screen and be done with it.

The note about general size is confusing. You don't have to set everything to 1, to be able to scale everything. YOu can do that anyway. Setting everything to 1 just changes the relations between these sizes to be different than originally.

This is SO NOT for beginners! I am so frustrated. Everything goes so fast and nothing is explained. The manuals are so complicated and the tutorials online are no help at all to someone unfamiliar with computer drafting.

      have you try to :
      1. drawing basic ; lines, square, circle, ...
      2. modify your drawing ; move/copy, scale, rotate
      3. start drawing with layer, grid or no grid, set up paper, print ...

I couldn't agree more!! All tutorials for all CAD programs I've tried assume an awful lot of general CAD knowledge. I haven't thought about drafting since I was in seventh grade back in 1969.

try to use right click when you use librecad,
      faster but
you can use shortcuts or command lines in librecad too
