Thank you for the very simple and easily followed tutorial, if only everyone delivered helpful content like this instead of waffling garbage for 10 mins
Everyone if you are having issues with the custom emotes being able to be used please join the official streamelements discord to be updated. A fellow viewer Steve Thompson was kind enough to let me know in the comments that its a bug and they are working on it. Go to their discord to submit the issue
I'm having the opposite issue, I DO NOT want Kappagens but it literally WILL NOT take them off of my account. Going through your tutorial in reverse to take them off and save it, but when I try again they still show up! I have literally been trying for months to get rid of them. I'm overstimulated easily so they literally are making it impossible for me to stream. I haven't been able to stream for months because I know if anyone follows or does anything they will show up. Please HELP!!
@@deadsetondreams1988 just delete or hide the kappa widget in the stream editor and save it. Then copy the new link by clicking the chain on the top right and paste it in a browser source.
do you need to add a custom alert for stream elements for this to work on stream,or whenever someone hosts/follows,it would automatically do the emotes?
@@CreoVox oh I mean. Do I have to add a stream elements alert widget as in a custom logo w/user name for this to go off when someone follows the stream?
You just need to make the stream elements bot a mod, then add the custom browser source after you setup and save your configurations in the overlay editor on stream elements. You don’t need to add any alert widget in the editor. If you follow the steps in the video you should be okay. If you don’t see your custom emotes then check their discord (pinned comment). Hope that helps
Is there any limitation to use Kappagen? Because it dosn't show me any emotes when I click to select the emotes, it's just empty! I use W10 and I stream from FB page.
@@CreoVox the best extension for emotes... basically because it lets you add up to 250 emotes for free. I already found a method to add them as in the video. sorry for my English
I tick box that says "subscribers only" and My subscriber select common twitch emote and it does not work. Disable the box and it works for subscriber.
@@CreoVox Sorry for my bad English. I want it to work for Subscribers only (that is why they have the tick box, right?) so when I enable box, it works for nobody. Disable box, it works for everyone. I want it to work for just people subscribed to channel.
Yeah that’s not right. You uncheck (meaning white empty box = disabled) for what you don’t want and then check (meaning check mark in box = enabled) for what you do want. If you have it like that then save the overlay, log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, log in, try it again. If that doesn’t help ask their support team
They must have removed the option way after I made the video because I too do not see the option for me twitch emotes. Its also only allowed for Twitch.

Thanks a bunch! I've been wondering how to do this for a while xb
Glad I could help 🙂
Great video! Really helpful
Thank you! What did you find helpful in the video overall?
Hello, CreoCox, Quick question, Does it work for RUclips?
I've tested so it works properly in RUclips :) Thanks!
Does anyone know how to set up kappagen only on a variation? I would like to Display it only on a big donation and not for all of them!
I dont see any options to do that. I would reach out to streamelements on social media or their discord to find out if its possible.
@@CreoVox thanks a lot for your answer... It could be fine to set it up for example for 1000 bits but not for 10
Thanks for this video, even though its 3 years old.
You're welcome. Hope it was helpful. If you have any questions let me know
Great job buddy
Thank you :) glad you found it helpful!
hi i have one question how did you do that you can selected your owne emotes? because my sub emotes ar not shown in the list
Read the pinned comment
is it possibly w stream elements to get the emote splash to work with 7tv ?? I believe it works with BTTV emotes by default.
Im not familiar with 7TV. never heard of it actually.
do you need to add a custom alert for stream elements for this to work on stream,or whenever someone hosts/follows,it would automatically do the emotes?
Yes just like I show in the video you need to add a browser source

@@Smurfytoonz that I unfortunately do not. Maybe on the dashboard in the settings.
30 seconds in and im lost. " go down here in your editor " could you explain what editor, and how i get it up... please
Go to my overlays ans create a new overlay. That's your editor.
nice video.i was wondering if there were anyway to trigger an emotesplosion with a custom event ?
The only thing I can think of is if you did some type of coding but I dont know coding so I cant really say if its possible or not. Sorry.
You could easily set it up thru touch portal to trigger on a chat event. If you never figured it out I would be happy to explain it.
How do you even get to the page your on?
go to my overlays and create a new overlay and you will be in the editor.

I don’t think Facebook supports the Kappagen. If it does it’s very limited.
@@CreoVox maybe you are right because I could't amy options to make it work... unfurtunetely
Can i make this just a Command?
I don't think so.
@@CreoVox Thank you for the reply :)
Hello, our custom emotes show to be selected, but for cheers, it will only do random emotes. Does anyone know the fix for this?
Uncheck random and select the other options
We did that and it still doesn’t work. It doesn’t use any of the selections we make
does it work with 7tv?
What’s 7tv?
@@CreoVox the best extension for emotes... basically because it lets you add up to 250 emotes for free. I already found a method to add them as in the video. sorry for my English
How do you get this to link to your channel points?
I don’t think that’s an options. I’ve never seen a way to do that.
I tick box that says "subscribers only" and My subscriber select common twitch emote and it does not work. Disable the box and it works for subscriber.
Hmm. So just so we’re clear, it has the check mark in the box but doesn’t work but when you uncheck the box it works? Sounds backwards to me.
