I love all the colors and the yarn looks exquisite not only to look at but to knit with and wear. I have made many of your patterns mostly shawls. Would love to try this sweater and would be so honored to win this yarn to made this. I think it was designed for your fabulous yarn. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win it. Good luck everyone!
One of my granddaughter's names is Evelyn. She is spunky and snarky one day, moody another, and kind and thoughtful another. There is mo figuring out what her mood will be day to day, but her laugh....i live to hear her laugh. It brings such joy. And if she were a color, i imagine she would be a silver undertoned lavender. A color that would change in different lights and angles.
My daughter-in-law is named Anabelle. We love her so much. She is strong, smart, independent, but very kind, and caring. If she were a color it would be a dappled forest green that represents the depth of her personality
This warm weather has got me thinking of lemonade. Bright, yellow and full of sunshine. Lemonade would be a happy color.
Beautifully detailed sweater. Grandma was Mary Rose and she loved red. She loved roses, tulips, poinsettia, any flowers that were red.
The name Isabeau for me infers a delicate nature with a strong undertone. I first heard the name in the movie Ladyhawke decades ago. Isabeau sounds like the shades of a violet, deep and mysterious ranging to light and delicate.
Lovely Tee-sweater, adorable highlights! Thanks for sharing.
Have a magical day!!
My granddaughters name is Norah. She is the most warm hearted kind little soul. She gives so much from her heart. Always thinking of others. Her favorite color is a soft pink. 💕
My daughter’s name is Sophia! She is in her early-20’s. She is so kind, as well as strong and adventurous. Of course the EFA Ephemeral Fingering with her name is MY favorite! 💕
I love the names of the yarn colors, as well as how these colors just pull your eyes in. Gorgeous design elements included here too. Awesome pattern! Thank you!
My mother and her mother were Catherines. Grandma went by Katie and mom went by Kay (hence my middle name 'Kay'). I love Catherine, it's so old fashioned. A soft pink would be my mother and my grandmother. They were like a precious rose.
BTW, I made a shawl from that yarn base, it used 4 colors and is beautiful. I love this yarn base and Sophia is my favorite color.
Love this sweater! Seems so versatile. I have always loved the name Maggie. I named my rescue cat Maggie recently, and she is a grey tortie. She is so gentle, loving, and silly, so the colors would be to match her coat. Grey, cream, bronze, and tan shades. ❤
My daughter is Stephanie. All the grands are boys. Beautiful sweater! That detail is so nice!
The smock stitch is great. So easy after watching your tutorial.
I live between 2 Olives. The colour to match is an easy choice.
Many thanks from Canada
My daughter’s name is Emily. I absolutely love the smocking stitch and this sweater shows it off beautifully. Have a wonderful day Chandi.
I’m so excited to get this short sleeve sweater pattern! My daughter’s name is Rebecca and she would probably be a cross between a baby pink pastel and a bright red to reflect her personality. She loves babies and singing. 💕👩🍼🎶
Just received my yarn and I can't wait go start knitting! I've brought it with me on vacation.
I love the name Annabelle…it just sounds friendly and I think it would be the color of a daisy…it’s such a sweet little happy flower!
I collecting angel for years so when my youngest child was born I named her angel ❤ very pretty patern and yarn thank you have a blessed day ❤️ 😊
I've always loved the name Aurora and hope to call my first daughter that one day. Definitely a vibrant purple in honour of the Aurora Borealis 💜💜💜
I can't get enough of pastel colors. I love them all. I would choose a pale yellow and call it Jasmine.
Such a beautiful stitch and so much easier than I had imagined. Can't wait to try it!
You stole my heart again!!! I must make this top! Every part of it is irresistible! I love that yarn, I still have the left over of that yarn from the Laiken shawl that I gave to my niece, she looked perfect in it. She also looks great in the Creery sweater. I don't have enough left over yarn for the top. I have to finish the Creery sweater, it's number 4! I'll be done today, so I can start on the Kaleidoscope, so I can finish the Rainier shawl and the Chante (sp) shawl. The I have 5 other projects I want to do like the Camarondonte and Crossaster. My niece wants the Crossaster as well. I must get busy!!!🥰
Thank you for making the world beautiful! Love an hugs!!!
The colors are amazing and it's so hard to choose. The way you chose the names is very fitting and I really enjoy the yarns I have from you!!!
My daughter Rose kathleen just had her first baby girl and named her Grace Elizabeth…what an honour and such a beautiful name.
I named my daughter Rowan, after the tree. I’ve always been a forest creature 😊 and love how the light plays on leaves to create different shades of green. Funnily enough, she loves green too, and our favorite version of it is sage green. Her name and that color are permanently intertwined for me now.
What a lovely summer pattern and the way the smocking has been done has added a beautiful touch. I have used your Ephemeral Fingering yarn before and it is a dream to work with. A few names I would label yarns are Xena and Zinnia. Thank you for all the beautiful yarns and patterns. It is so helpful that you show us so many instructions to help us along.
Nancy🧶
I love how the most beautiful stitches often are much easier to make than they look. I would go for a nice deep forest green called Louise....
My oldest daughter is Olivia, and she really does match that gold tone! My other daughter is Caroline and she would be a bright yellow! My mother, Deborah, would be a royal purple 😊
This pattern is lovely I Like the smock stitch on it..
My grandmother's name was Eileen (also my middle name) and I associate her name with all pastel colours, as they were her go-to palette when knitting her short sleeved tops which she favoured, very much like this beautiful pattern.❤
Those colors are beautiful! I like beryl gemstones, which are light green. That would be the color and name I would choose if creating a yarn. Chandi, you did a wonderful job naming those colors❤
Those colors are gorgeous. We are getting ready to go camping I love being in nature. The colors I think of would be greens, browns and yellows.
Beautiful design and the rose color is soft in the eyes!! Thank you for charring!!❤❤
Beautiful top with lovely accent stitches. Thanks for the tutorial. I love my dog, Santa... her yarn color would be tans and golds 😊❤
My oldest daughter is named Harper. Of course, I had to get a couple of those skeins when they were released! I plan to make this too for her in that color
I think the butter yellow should be named “Cora.” Only because yellow is my favorite color! Ha. I LOVE all the colors you have!! I’m learning so much from you. Thank you for your videos on knitting.
My daughter’s name is Sofia and she is a green lover so I’d call a deep lovely green her name. 🎉 my other daughter is Josephine (Josie) and she has some spunk so I’d go for a deep, magenta!❤ such beautiful yarns always. Thanks Chandi!
Again and again, you come up with another beautiful pattern and gorgeous yarns. You make my Fridays very exciting ❤️🙏🌻
Thank you for another free pattern, Chandi! One of my favorite girl names is Amara. I imagine a deep purple as her accompanying color.
This is fun! Some of my favorite names with the colors I associate with them are Alexander (tonal black and brown), Erin (green), Anastasia (peachy pink) and Sophie (brownish orange). Beautiful sweater, and I love the ephemeral fingering for summer.
My daughter’s name is Sari, it’s mean flower or princess and she always love pink color like Sophia. So this lovely yarn will be perfect for this beautiful tee.
Stella would be a darker rose but not quite burgundy. I can’t wait to try making this beautiful tee!!
Thanks for the pattern! I love the name Mercy and the meaning behind it. I think of it as a pale light blue.
Beautiful!! I haven't knit a garment in years but this one is tempting me! One of my favourite men's names is Malachi and it would be a deep emerald green. For a woman's name I'll go with Isobelle and it would be a soft shimmery white
This looks so easy, i can’t wait to make it. And i love the flowered dress you’re wearing.
Another amazing pattern and video! I especially like the sleeve length. Thank you again! Continued blessings!
Hi Chandy! You've already picked two of my favorite names: Sohia and Olivia. Ephemeral reminded me of Emma, my childhood imaginary friend. She was courageous and spirited. She would absolutely be a shade of orange.
My goddaughter’s name is Victoria Carolina. She is a strong young adult who just finished her first year of medical school. When I think of her, I think of bright pink and fuchsia. So young and full of energy with an incredible bright future ahead .
I learned to knit and crochet when I was a little girl with my grandma next to me. Life has a way of keeping us busy and your beautiful patterns along with your videos has brought back the love for the art again with memories of my childhood and my grandmother.
Thank you so much 😊for
Sophia would be a lovely lilac color. Love this pattern!😊
This was a fun question to answer. I would choose names of goddesses, and the yarns would have multiple tonalities of the same color (like ombré) because each represent energies/concepts that are more complex than just a single monochromatic monotonal color, just like we are. Rhiannon- rose, Kali-blue, Quan Yin - white, Tara - green, Sophia - red, Iris - purple, Vasudhara -yellow. Thank you for the new pattern, tutorial and giveaway!
Favorite thing is a sunset where the sky turns shades of dark pink, purple and orange.
I love the sleeve details! And that Peruvian cotton looks like a soft dream :) My favorite names and colors would be: Giovanni - a warm, sunny yellow; Aurora - a pale dusty rose; Zoe - a deep, almost neon, Egyptian blue; and Jeffrey - a smoky, warm chestnut brown. My family :D
That is a gorgeous top and this suits you very well. You could pair that jumper with so many things. This would look nice in a buttermilk color
Much love and respect from across the one in Ukx
Hazel would be a mix of bright blue, green and purple. Gwen would be a brilliant orange. Patricia would be a soft rose gold. Rebecca would be fiery red. Love the pattern - it has enough fun details to keep your interest. Would love the be gifted the yarn to create this beauty.
What a beautiful pattern! Thank you for sharing your patterns with us with no charge for a period of time. The names you picked are all beautiful. Out of those names, Leila is my favorite name and I have too many other favorites, like veeda, Victoria, Roya, Doonya, and many more. These yarns are pure luxury and I am in love❤️❤️❤️
One of my favourite names is Francesca. I see her as a vibrant magenta, reflecting her energy and cheekiness. My mother's name was Irene. I will always see her in her shades of blue, matching her eyes. If I had children, I would want two girls to have these names.
This looks so comfy to wear! I love all the efemeral colors 🩷 I guess my favorite girl names would be the names I chose for my daughters Colleen Ann - lovely shades of pink, Edrie Pearl - white and cream, maybe speckled with something bright and spunky, and Rosalinda Sue, sweet shades of dusty purple and pink 🩷
My favorite colors are brown and green, i would name them fairy 🧚♀️ for green and coco for brown. Beautiful tee. 🍁✨️
I love my daughters' names - Ingrid would be a pastel pink color, and Sophia would be a mint green shade.
This is a beautiful top. Thank you for the pattern!
This top is so beautiful ❤ If I were to dye a skein of yarn to match my daughter Melody's energy it would be a bright teal with hints of goldenrod, lime and amethyst. My son Nolan would be Robin egg blue with hints of orange and red.
So pretty looks very nice on you😊
What an interesting question! I had an aunt and a mother in law named Mae. When I think of them, I see a floral variagated yarn.
One of my favorite girls' names is my granddaughters spelled Karolyne! To me, her colors would be a soft variation of greens with splashes of yellows. She embodies spring to me. ❤
Love the shimmer of that yarn. And the simplicity of that smocking stitch! Names, colors. I have two lovely young nieces with lovely old-fashioned names. Eleanor would be forest green, for her love of nature. And Frances a hot pink for her energetic, bubbly personality.
Absolutely adore this sweater, will definitely be making it!! My sister's name is Lillian Marilyn and I think a platinum with lavender under tones would be perfect.
I would name a yarn after my daughter Jessica and it would be yellow ❤. Thanks for the gorgeous sweater pattern!
I used to have some pink lilies that were a shade darker than yours and I always think of them when I see a lily, so of course, Lily for pink!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks.
I love this sweater Pregueado! 🤩❤❤ Well, I had three children and their names are Arielle (orange), Brianne (purple) and Theodor (yellow/gold). Today, I'm a grandma and my granddaughter's name is Cecília (rose/pink). So, beautiful names to beautiful colors.
The name that comes to my mind is Maeva (pronounced Mah-eh-vah). It's always been a favorite of mine. It has French origins and means 'welcome' in Tahitian. Tahiti evokes beautiful tropical beaches so I think the name would be perfect for a gorgeous turquoise or aqua or even soft teal 🤩
What a lovely yarn! I love traditional western names like Elizabeth. I would associate the name with the time period and choose a color based on traditional dyes of the time: orange-red or emerald green.
An orange would be Claudia, in honor of my dearest daughter! Or a sea blue is Octavia. The dress you’re wearing is so beautiful! Thank you for the chance to win this beautiful yarn!
Beautiful top! I will have to make one. I love the names Ariel and Lena. Ariel would be a soft pink to red and Lena would be a steel blue to charcoal. I love your yarn names!
My granddaughter’s name is Gabriella; I would make a yarn that is an iridescent pastel rainbow as she has a bright personality, & it’s ever changing.
Beautiful top; I love the look of the Smock stitch. Thank you Chandi, for another gorgeous pattern and for showing us how to work the stitch…❤
So beautiful ❤. I love the smock stitch. Thank you for the tutorial, I would never have considered this pattern since it looked so complicated ❤️🌼. The yarn really showcases the pattern.
Similarly, I have ten nieces and nephews and had them each pick out a color that meant "Gramma" to them and knit them into a shawl for my mom, in birth order of her grandkids. :) She's mostly bright colors according to them!
Awww… my name is represented. Love it! It’s Angelika. ☺️
My Mother-in-laws name Cumi. I’ve never heard it before or since. I would have to say it would be a clay color. Her favorite.
Another wearable???!!!!! WHOOP, WHOOP!!! I love it when the designers bring on the clothes!!! Now we need a dress...just saying :)
Some of my favorite "not typical" names are Genevieve (greens), Isla (reds/browns/oranges), Reagan (blues), Astrid (purples/pinks/teals) and Sybilla (Moroccan inspired)
Thanks, Chandi and Debi!!!

@@ExpressionFiberArts SQUEEEEEEE!!! Thank you so much!! Message has been sent!
Gorgeous yarns! I think I’d name my yarn Bliss or Euphoria. That’s the joy it would bring while being worked into a new item.
💖💖💖
😅another beautiful yarn for a beautiful design thank you
I would love to see the colors of a quiet Prime Evil forest named Serenity. Imagine the cool gorgeous greens, the quiet stillness, and relaxing shadows to just contemplate life's gifts.
Love this sweater! I just learned both of these techniques and find them so easy.
For names, I think I would pick my own, Colleen, and it would be a deep shade of green with yellow undertones to denote the Gaelic history of the name. (I am hoping this doesn’t sound arrogant, lol! I just always see green when I think of the name 😊)
For my grandson Journey, colors would be greens and browns. And for my granddaughter McKenna, purple. ❤
I have always loved the name Bethany, and I see the color to go with that as an old rose pink shade.
I just downloaded this pattern yesterday, and today I find this video. It’s Kismet. The name Willow brings to mind a lightweight, wispy yarn in shades of light/medium/dark green marled together. I think that would be perfect for this top!
Thank you for all these patterns you show us every time for free for a period of time love thoses color yarns. I would go for a light purple called Zoe like my grand daughter , light salmon color called Ariel like my grand daughter and the last color jeans called Charlotte.
I’m so excited to do this! I have been knitting for two year now and wanted to do move into clothing! So this is just a great pattern to do! Thank you!!❤❤️❤️❤️
If I could do yearn I would want to do it base off a peacock because of it’s beautiful colors
Wonderful! 💖
My daughters all have names starting with A. Adella would be a soft pink, Agnes would be a fiery topaz, and Alaria would be autumn orange.
(I love the ephemeral collection - I’ve used it for a shawl and it has such a great feel!)
Happy FriYay, everyone. What a gorgeous pattern. My brother had a red car named Ruby. I would have a deep purplish-red to name ruby.
Hello Chandi! 💖My granddaughter is named Lily so it’s so easy to name any beautiful yarn after her! But I think I would use Lily as either the name of a beautiful, bright magenta color yarn because I have a large Lily plant growing in my backyard with the same bright magenta color! 💖💖💖💖
Cynthia my daughter would be a morning yellow, thanks Chandi the pattern is beautiful good luck everyone.
Beautiful 😍
I love my sisters name Margarita, I think it could be a perfect name for minty light blue color 😊
Thank you! Now I must try these new stitches 😅
I would love to see yarn of the blue pea flower! I can't wait to find some time after the Christmas project to make this sweater.
Beautiful sweater and yarn 😊❤
Hi Chandi. Wow such beautiful yarn. One of my favorite names is "Chandi" which always reminds me of cheery colors such as yellow, bright green, cherry or perhaps the colors in spumoni ice cream, my favorite ice cream flavor!
Sunny, a beautiful yellow
My granddaughters names Paisley which would be a pretty lavender or purple tone and Parker would be a strong deep army green. Thank you for another beautiful pattern, I bought a pretty blue tone for this tee ❤.
Sherry is one of my favorite names and it would be a royal purple with blue undertones.
Seafoam, coral, and oyster would be called Ariel. I think that would be lovely color combo for that name. Love the pattern and the color choice!
Love the name Emilia. Thought of this name when I saw this beautiful sweater.
