It's been two years since my last Mermaid Top 10, so it's time to revisit and take another deep dive into my Mermaid Collection!

Wonderful and fun. I love all your videos but this one was a special treat. I haven't seen many of the Barbie Mermaids as I wasn't collecting at all in the 80s and 90s. Being a Mom was my priority then and little boy toys ruled my world.
I gave away my childhood collection only to realise later that my passion for dolls had never died. Now it will take a great effort to even get into my Doll Room, I seem to just keep adding more boxes.
Perhaps when I go live with my Channel (I do have some content and welcome any subscribers) it will be motivation. I was so happy to see that Mermaid Aquamarine Mizi made it onto your favourites list, as I am a Mizi Collector also. Much love and Congratulations on your Channel growth and success. It is obvious that a lot of skill, time and effort goes into your channel, which is in part why I totally adore you. Much Love from the West Coast.

I simply can`t handle 90s Barbie mermaids 😍 so gorgeous and I love everything iridescent! And of course Mermaid Fantasy Barbie is my top notch Barbie. I still have Christie and Kayla from my childhood and finally completed the line with Barbie a couple years ago. I even had the playset but gave it to my niece 🤔 regrets

Being a collector of Barbie mermaids, this has introduced me to so many dolls I need. Haha! So many of them are beautiful! The Mizi dolls are new to me, and that mermaid is gorgeous!! 😍 Also that Fairytopia mermaid series is the most beautiful series I think Mattel has ever made and I don't have any of them yet, but they are on my wishlist.

The fairytopia mermaids are on my wishlist. All three are Barbie at its best! I think my all time favorite mermaid is the 1991/1992 Mermaid. I have her out of the box, but still need one in box!! Very fun video!!! ❤❤

Mermaids are half human, half fish because the Assyrian gods wouldn’t allow the first mermaid to have a complete fish body. I love that fable. 🩷 The top two dolls in your mermaid collection are completely enchanting. The Water Muse is my favorite. Her color scheme and that shade of hair makes me think of oceans where the water actually reflects as aqua and blue. 🌊 Ken is enchanting as a merman. He has just the right amount of muscles and hair! 🥰 Thank you for sharing your top ten with us and seeing the original television ads was so much fun. Wet, wild and wonderful… 💦🌷💦

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 What a special video! 🥰 I am absolutely in love with aqua man Ken , no. 2, and the two mermaids in no. 1. Wow, wow, wow! I have to share with you that both of my parents are Pisces so my first Barbie/action figure that they surprised me with was this very cute children’s version of Mera ( Marvel character) she was the protector of the ocean and defender of Atlantis! She also married Prince N, Aqua Man to stop mermaid clan fighting! Then the last movie that Mom and I went to see together was The Little Mermaid, ( the 1990s cartoon) Arial who looked so much like my Mera doll ( flaming red hair and green tail) immediately took a very special place in my heart! Your mermaid collection is impressive and now made me want to look for some mermaid collector dolls! 😃👍 So thank you so much for taking the time to show us your invaluable collection, enjoyed watching it so much! Also I love all the special effects: the bubbles, commercial clips, photos, etc. to enhance your videos and make them so special and fun to watch! 🫶

I don’t remember any of those old Barbies from the 80s-90s. I think I blocked it all out it because my mom didn’t buy them for me or even let me look in the toy section. I only had 1 real Barbie and it was the Peaches & Cream Barbie for Christmas.

Ugh! I wish I hadnt sold the dolls from my teen years. I got that first Mermaid Barbie the year she came out. And the whole Fairytopia collection is probably my all time favorite Barbie collection of all time.

Hi Arjen, how do you determine what dolls to unbox and display and which ones to keep in the box. I understand if keeping special edition or limited edition dolls in the box.
Well pink box dolls are always special to me so it’s hard for me to take those out unless I have two 😅🩷 but I enjoy taking them out most! 🙏🏻 It’s a constant struggle and battle haha
Do I wanna display them or not? Will it ruin the fantasy that they’re displayed in? It’s HARD 🥲

Not a fan of the Disney Ariel's face at all! The Mitzi mermaids are gorgeous, I almost bought one a couple years ago but I cheaped out :) My favorite mermaid doll in my collection is the Lady Lovely Locks Mermaid doll (Maiden Goldenwaves), this line of dolls is definitely the epitome of 1980s pastel cuteness. I don't think they had any mermaid Barbies in the 80s, I would have loved them!

There’s something about the mermaid dolls’ tails that is bothering me so much: why on earth do the tails have the shape of human legs? where’s the natural fish tail? even rainbow reveal Ariel which has the most fish-like tail has this shape.. just. why?
