If you want to run two stable versions You just slightly alter the repository link Add a slash in home assistant will show you another set of 3 mqtt
That's pretty funny. Nice trick!
I'd be interested in seeing a video on how you set up your ADSB server.
Awesome! I'd love to share that one, its an addicting hobby plus it lets me film on the roof ;)
Note: there are a few devices that do not work on channel 25, very few, but some.
Interesting, I haven't run into those yet. I know the channel 26 thing has a lot of device and power issues then there was a line of devices that would only work on 15, 20 or 25. Can't remember them off the top of head.
Hey there, excellent video thank you. I'm running HA as a docker container, and have zigbee2MQTT + mosquitto running as docker containers too, similarly to your video. What are the correct steps to then get everything into HA from there? I can see in your HAOS section that you have a 'Zigbee' sidebar item that shows you the Zigbee2MQTT application (which I don't have in HA docker mode), and I'm confused as to if I should add the SM06 device into HA and then scan/find devices using that from within HA, or if I should solely rely on the Zigbee2MQTT application interface for all new device additions?
If you have Z2M posting to MQTT already, if you simply have the MQTT integration in HA connected to the same MQTT broker it will auto discover the devices. The sidebar is really just popping in an into HA which I don't do myself as it gets kinda messy and cramped.
Can you have two Zigbee Coordinator on the same same network if you have buildings separated by long distant no way to create a mesh as the two buildings are metal ... By the way great content ...
Yep. I hit on that in a couple spots. HAOS users can run both dev and regular easily. Others can just run as many as they want easily. Just change the base topic to something unique for each in the mqtt section.
I was running HA as a docker container on the same Pi that I have been running Homebridge. I went ahead and got an HA Green and had already ordered the SLZB06 POE from Ali and it took a while to get here. Got everything up and running now, got Z2MQTT up and devices paired. I have the old deconz ConBee II USB stick that I have plugged into the Pi, can I connect that to my HA Green and use it as a router? The SLZB06 and the HA green are on opposite ends of the house and I wanted a stronger signal in that part of the property. If I can so this, how in the heck do I start?
No experience with the conbee myself. If you can find a router firmware for it then it should be fine.
Could you configure the channel of the device before you bring it in to HA? Would that eliminate needing to delete the folder?
You could put that yaml file there first before you start it. It's about the same work.
I need feedback from the community. I have been a 2+ year user of ZHA with a sonoff zigbee 3.0 plus coordinator (Texas Instruments with the firmware flashed for greater capacity on the network). Just recently my ZHA network of about 30 devices with plenty of routers seems to have crapped out, a week everything was very stable connections and functioning had been pretty stable for 6mo or more. Then seemingly over night everything dropped off the network, I reconnected everything and it worked for a few days then the same stuff happened again. I haven't added new devices or changed any configuration. Do coordinator dongles just go bad? I got a different coordinator a Loamlin SMlight coordinator that was recommended by Z2M. What should I do? Bite the bullet and set up Z2M and see how that goes, should I still try and run ZHA with my sonoff dongle with a z2m network too, or should I try and move my network from the sonoff to smlight in ZHA?
What ZStack firmware version?
I think my previous attempts to share my firmware version were flagged somehow and never got posted. The version my coordinator is on is 20220219
I guess it is probably safe to say I should update the firmware on my sonoff dongle.
Can you post a link to the conversation about why you pin to cmccambridge/mosquitto-unraid:2.0.15?
github.com/eclipse/mosquitto/issues/2887
There was a fixed mentioned but it didn't seem to work in my case.
brodie when are you reviewing reolink cx810
Reolink doesn't have any yet they said. I must not be on the cool kids list anymore. Being real and telling it like it is must not fly well.
