I have never played StarCraft outside of 2 hours of 2 maybe 6 years ago, and was recommended to your channel by LS from the league community. Wanted to say it is a testament to Broodwars readability, which has held up after so many years, and more importantly your casting that I am able to sit down, watch these games, be interested and understand (generally speaking) what is happening and the context of why certain moves are important as well as why certain players themselves are as well. Thank you very much for the super interesting content!!
I remember not wanting to give StarCraft a chance back when it came out. I thought command and conquer was the coolest game ever, and nothing could top that. Boy was I wrong. I will still play it every couple months over 20 years later.
I played multiplayer the original starcraft without the expansion on battle-net in 1998-2001 before it peaked off. Brood-war I only finished the campaign.
Visual clarity/ readability is the #1 reason I prefer watching this over SC 2. It might be a slower paced game, but every decision feels much more deliberate, and you can really pick out the intricacies of how certain builds result in different compositions more. I've never played a single ladder game of brood war, but I can actually follow along with what is happening.
Floating Terran buildings should be used way more, its so good to have that extra vision, and units under it are harder or impossible to target click for the opponent.
Paused my first watch to share this. I do not see where Motive made any big mistakes. It feels like Flash just saw an opening and all the growth and improvements we have been witnessing over the past couple of weeks just coalesced into a flurry of aggressive moves that felt and looked like one fluid motion. Motive was playing and seemed to be playing properly. And then boom boom boom boom. GG. Good lord. Ok, back to watching.
A big mistake Motive made was losing that first reaver for free. That alone put him pretty far behind. Protoss generally needs to do at least some damage with their first reaver. Snow (and other good reaver players) generally never lets that happen because he always makes sure the tanks fire first before he drops the reaver out of the shuttle. The rest of the game was pretty much build order advantage related, as RT said. Flash gasless expanded, and Motive was unable to punish his greed because of his own build order. Being unable to punish the greed meant that Flash was able to build his tank count faster, which meant he could move out before the reaver was ready to drop in Flash's base.
@@berryzedzero Either he recorded this days ago, or he's fibbing. Not keen on being misled. So since he's at Tastless's event yesterday, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Flash also pushed forward turrets, massive mine fields, a lot of tanks in back and poking in front with single tanks. Can kill 200/200 toss with minimal loses like that. I was doing pretty well against protoss like that in the old days ;)
Flash: Reads his opponents movement without vision, brings his reinforcements onto his ramp so Protoss can't do anything during his game winning push Artosis: 1 Lurker kills 30 SCVs before Artosis even notices, then he waits 3 minutes before building a missile turret while floating 700 minerals so the one lurker can kill everything that pops out of his factories and his depots then proceed to hunt down 10 more scvs that are trying to run to a floating command center at 2 other different bases and wins the game by itself. We are not playing the same Terran Still love you Artosis
Well, not so much VODs ago, Artosis was mentioning the capabilities of buildings to protect units and screw up AI. A floating building like a machine shop is quite "cheap" for its tanking and scouting capabilities, and these does not use unit supply. Very interesting!
You should be able to put 2 marines in a floating rax and they should be able to shoot from it, like. a floating movable bunker. It would make Terran more balanced.
I think a lot of the people suggesting to bring the buildings don’t understand how good buildings are defending your main and natural. But like you said if you’re going to go all in it’s probably fine
Terrans should also build supply depots with their push. they clog up the lanes for zealots to run. they should also build a lot of depots as blockers for their expansions with tanks behind.
Ive always wondered why wont more Terrans do it. Engineering Bay is cheap, require no supplies, soak shots well, provide vision and can be landed as a blockade. Heck I think they should make them nonstop and use them like overlords.
Took me a moment to realize that all of those degenerates that hop on your steam are also here, they just act different because it’s RUclips. Absolute chills.
Beautiful play by flash, definitely the 2 base push with terren is way stronger than getting 3 bases and doing upgrade terren. Protoss is way to strong late game. Well done!!
One question I have, has anyone ever used these floating buildings to make walls on the pro level? Sometimes I see even now a Protoss will wall in an expansion with pylons but I can imagine a zealot trying to pull in mines to the tanks will be less sucessful if it has to path around an ebay or two.

@@nesssixteen6106 same here. Arty is so good with explaining these tiny things that matter a lot in pro matches.
Woke up, opened youtube, Flash video posted 1min ago.
Immediate chill.
This comment: CHILLS.
I got chills reading this
I got chills reading someone's comment getting chills from someone commenting about getting chills!
Flash made a supply depot and my body suddenly experienced a temperature decrease.
Accurate
What an amazing game. The power of the floating buildings and that crisp macro. Flash makes this look so easy,
These Flash videos are a genuine highlight of my day. Chills.
>Flash lifted off a building
WE JUST WITNESSED THE HEAT DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE
*OH MY STARS! WE L I T E R A L L Y JUST WITNESSED THE NEW META, CHILLS AND WOW!*
''Flahstosis''
Unironically yes. Love Flash replays.
Protoss army seeing Terran buildings in the sky: "They fly now??"
They fly now!
11:19 That's where Flash made sure he would 100% win the game, going back with those 2 tanks + vultures was a game winning move.
new arty video chills
Love the meta discussion in the first few minutes. Having the percentages and tons of opening possibilities is so interesting

"Look, he's bringing the buildings, this is gonna make you guys so happy." It really did Arty! :)
"I hope you guys enjoyed that. I bet you did." Indeed lol
It’s not a good morning unless there’s a new Flash video
I feel like we're gonna start seeing more Arbiter again.
Flash's play is actually just perfect. This is art.
His progress is insane because if we compare him to how he was just 2 months ago and now it's hard to believe that it's the same person.
It feels so cool to be indirectly supporting the CNSL and these pros I've been watching for years
Flash game for my evening dinner before sleeping, perfection.
I just loaded this up and poured a bowl of cereal for breakfast
Hot off the presses: I have chills.
Its not hot off the presses, SaiyanKCM casted this exact game days ago
@@nanthilrodriguez if Artosis didn't cast it, the game didn't happen.

Man I love to hear this. Sponsoring event, keeping what you love alive. It's so cool i'm happy for you RT
The buildings were very cool
The floating buildings 😂 i love it
I fucking love when Flash floats buildings, It's so hot
I had chills right when he lifted one up
Flash also pushed forward turrets, massive mine fields, a lot of tanks in back and poking in front with single tanks.

I watch ALL the ArtosisCasts games, Flash or not, so keep it up Arty!
Also, great insight at the end!
Artoboss becoming the savior of BW by sponsoring tournaments? That's giving me C H I L L S.
Those floating buildings gave me chills!
Floating buildings are the future!
I love these AYAYAcasts.

We are not playing the same Terran
Still love you Artosis
Flash makes top-tier human players look like he’s playing against the computer
Keeping uo with the Flashes
I think this may be the best I’ve seen flash play since his return
That was so decisive!
Thanks for sponsoring CNSL!
Motive's CNSL 7 semifinals game with that clutch 100+ kills Reaver was amazing
Literal God. Chills.
Those James Bond buildings really helped Flash infiltrate Motive's 3rd
Every day with a Flash game is a good day
This channel should be renamed flash fan club. In here for it tbh 😊

This felt like a 2010 Proleague game where Flash hits a timing no else really thought was there
Is that a bird? A plane? ...BUILDINGS.
*chills*
Flash is such a legend that whatever he does people go 'OMG, Flash just did X'🤣
I love having a coffee with my daily artosiscast video 😄
Flash cast! its going to be a good day
I did those floating building pushes in 2001 on Lost Temple
We are so close to some meme game where somebody just lands the Rax up the enemy highground and starts pumping marines.
It's happening! Buildings fly for a reason!
Will we see any casts from the 6-0 Flash-Snow series? Just to see at least one game of how he did it, even if we know the result
This was perfect
I mean, when you think about it, for the price of 2 vultures, having a floating building is worth it if both are going be used as damage sponges.
knowing Flash, he tried this to not necessarily get an edge over his competition, but moreso because he can
You should be able to put 2 marines in a floating rax and they should be able to shoot from it, like. a floating movable bunker. It would make Terran more balanced.

I can't wait until next year when the mapmakers introduce all "low-ceiling maps" that don't allow for flying buildings but carrier and muta OK
Things I learnt in this video:
Go the long way round for map hacks.
So Terran finally figured out that floating buildings is op vs toss. GG
Terrans should also build supply depots with their push. they clog up the lanes for zealots to run. they should also build a lot of depots as blockers for their expansions with tanks behind.
That was a very convincing win!
Since lategame Tech armies don't want too many vultures, maybe we'll eventually see Terran players build tons of floating buildings instead...
I think it might become more common to bring the barracks during a push and keep the ebay for detecting drops or viceversa
Interesting game fs
Total Domination.
The buildings are floating like balloons into the fight off of liquid helium 🥶🏢🥶🏠🥶
If not for unbuildable terrain Flash could have mobile skyfortresses tanking, barricading and sim citying in the middle of the map
When do we get to see the Flash 6-0 vs Snow games? I’m pumped to see those
Would love to see some tier 2 and 3 lvl pros as well. But flash games are guaranteed to be good
Floating chills.
Ive always wondered why wont more Terrans do it. Engineering Bay is cheap, require no supplies, soak shots well, provide vision and can be landed as a blockade. Heck I think they should make them nonstop and use them like overlords.
I've been saying floating buildings are underutilized by Terrans for years, Flash isn't going far enough.
Cool indeed. Played starcraft since 2005 and never seen this move!
ArtosisCastsArtosis when???
125 minerals for 850 hit points sounds like a great deal to me. Should see it more.
I got chilllssss

How long is typical delay between recording and upload? Saw this a few days ago from a lesser known caster
protoss is gonna make corsair to counter the floating building now
@Artosis, this is not a recent game.
SaiyanKCM casted it already.
You thought we wouldn't notice
But we did /facepalm
Will we be able to watch CNSL here in this channel ?

When will you cast the match we've all be waiting for? Flash vs Artosis.
Why dont terrran mass like engibay to scout and soak damage from dragons when terran defend and push?
I've been using buildings in sc2 mech. Actually good.
Why the supply depo next to cc so close
Artosis and Flash’s nude bodies in twine while lathering in oil
Any update as to if/when FlaSh will be streaming again?
Did you drop the in game audio? Sounds very quiet
1st the Flash came, than Light and maybe one day it will be Scan.
