Just like the Sony spider man pictures. It won’t end until we the people, paying customers finally decide to rise up and stop giving them our money. If 85 percent of us decide to not pay to watch these in theaters or streaming then they will stop trying to force these down our throats or force them to do better.
Yes to Nick's comment about the other animals! Imagine being in a work meeting wondering if you or one of your colleagues is gonna be eaten by your boss for dinner, lol
Yeah! Or imagine one of the coworkers gathered a bunch of ya’ll around to tell some story that nobody is interested in at all. I’d be like, “dude, can’t keep my eye open. I need a cup o’coffee”.
I loved Nick's S.E. Hinton shout out when "outsiders" was mentioned. I love how you are so knowledgeable on movie facts that many may not catch or forget. I love watching you two so much. My movie 'brothas' for life!🙌👊
@@annapope9809 But albino lions wouldn't survive in the wild. They have no camouflage. At least that's what bothers me about it. The lack of accuracy. Teaching children erroneous information.
@ there is one nat geo documentary about two white lions being born and surviving with their parents. It’s just really rare for white lions to be born in the wild.
I think disney needs a complete rebrand! These sequels, prequels, and remakes are getting redundant at this point. Lion King is a classic and needed to stay that way. Not everything needs to be a franchise. Like why did they need a Moana 2??!!? But i guess if people keep paying to see it, they will keep making these movies.
At a point, was staring at that villain Lion image and it's Saber tooth likeness, then🤣when I heard you describe the dramatic parts - like, supernatural, no, more like spiritual 😉- this was a review adults could weigh their options on what to expect😊
Just like the Sony spider man pictures. It won’t end until we the people, the actual paying customers, finally decide to rise up and stop giving them our money. If 85 percent of us decide to not pay to watch these in theaters or streaming then they will stop trying to force these down our throats or force them to do better.
We need to do a compilation on how many times Joseph messed up ol “Cera Ve’s” name. Like I screamed every-time he tried to pronounce it.. it was like he was allergic to the name😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I understand your frustration, but the reason studios churn out so many remakes and sequels is simple: that’s what the majority of moviegoers pay to see. Just look at the top ten box office hits this year-every single one is either a sequel or a prequel. It’s not that original movies aren’t being made; they are. They just don’t perform as well in theaters. Disney is no longer a studio that takes risk, it got too big and now it's just trying to sustain itself by rehashing the things that had made it successful.
Aren't white lions an abnormality through bad genetic breeding? The only ones I've seen are in captivity by Joe Exotic types. The reason the cartoon was so good was due to Jeremy Irons. I wish Don Bluth was still animating children's stories that were darksided but full of heart. Thanks guys! Edit: so there's only 13 wild white lions left in the world and 500 in captivity according to Google.
They can't help themselves. White lions are evil. Male lions are incompetent (bad at hunting). Although, to be fair, villains used to wear black clothes/have dark fur. So, maybe it's a bit of overcorrecting?
YES! I finally can watch one of your videos. I love _Moonlight_ but I never planned on watching this one. I ain't mad at Berry though, nor his cast and crew-Get that Disney money!
Love the review, as always. Male lions, in the wild, always chase out competition. It matters not that it's a cute cub, it's still competition. Male lions only care about reproducing. Also, the white pride sounds like a metaphor for European colonialism.
Well, it sounds like this movie IS gar-bahge to me!! Maybe it’s because I look back on the original with such fondness - it was my late daughter’s favorite of the million kid’s vhs/dvd’s we had in our house in the 90’s, when my Rugrat’s (that was one too) were little. We also had the LK soundtrack, along w/ many others, but this very celebrated one was on repeat - Cuz It Was So Damn Good!! Now, I’m not one that, as an adult, watches animation or wants to go to Disney World or any amusement park; if I’m not taking my kids (or one day soon, my new grandbaby) I’m not going! But the original Lion King, and even some of those other Disney films - Bambi, Pochohontas (I KNOW)-I would cry my eyes out! They were Emotional movies! Yes, Land Before Time! This movie ya’ll were talkin’ about?? It sounds like a huge waste of money, Literally. 🦁 Rawrrr! ♥️
I knew when I saw the trailer it was going to be bad. What is up with Disney? Barry Jenkins is so much better than this. And why would anyone think it would be a good idea to have a "white pride" in a film today...it just sounds/looks bad? So many bad ideas...
27:21 not y’all giving a woke review of a kids movie 😂. Reminds of when I explained to my daughter how Beauty and the Beast was basically about DV and an abusive relationship.
Even if this is true, Beyoncé/Jay z/Will Smith are not the first or the last to do this. So much of that industry is built on nepotism. Tom Hanks spoke on this in recent years, and pretty much said “it’s a family business.” I don’t understand the stain nepotism has gotten the last few years as though it’s new. A good percentage of these “A list” celebs are a result of nepotism…Difference with Will Smith is the movies he brought Jaden on were movies he was producing himself. Denzel’s entire family is in his recent movie…That’s nepotism also, but all his kids also went to school and have quietly worked their way up through the industry. Most of it is “who you know/who you are.”
I'm just reaching the end of the review but I just came to the realization that the plot sounds like what RRR did but executed poorly. Now I wanna watch RRR again.
Disney is injecting this crap into all of their properties. Marvel, Lucas Films, Pixar....People REALLY need to stop supporting them financially. This has been going on for years and people really need to catch up.
I love whenever Joseph says “these fools”! 😂😂😂
these "live action" remakes are just so lifeless. when will they end??
Until people stop paying to see them.
It doesn’t make any sense to me to make a live action talking animal movie.
Pass
@@StevenE-l9ywhich, sadly, will probably never happen

“The circle of life flatlines” took me out my seat 🤣
"Part of the circle of life is death" - Nick Bell. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Leave it to Nick to tell it how it is
That killed me 😆
Hilaaaarious😂
kids would have more fun watching the deliverance
"I know he didn't do any of this shit" Joseph's reinactment of this movie is hilarious
It’s so fabulous!!😻

I loved Nick's S.E. Hinton shout out when "outsiders" was mentioned. I love how you are so knowledgeable on movie facts that many may not catch or forget. I love watching you two so much. My movie 'brothas' for life!🙌👊
You guys are the best! Love the fact you both always keep it real. And your edits are priceless; Serape, CeraVe, Kohlrabi and Sapporo! 🤣
"It's a whole ass buffet" "I know he didn't do any of this shit" these lines had me cackling 😂😂
Scar is darker than Mufasa in the cartoon, like why was he bleach dyed in this tho?
I am screaming at this comment 😅😅😅
I knew the shade was going to be intense 😂
Your narration made this sound good. I wanna watch it😂
I just said the same thing. This actually sounds lit. 😂
They sure made that new Tyler Perry show sound good.
I love the Moses reference... So bad lol
Omfg the cerave 🤣🤣
😂 @ “they’re brothaz”
Disney is comatose, someone wake them up 😮💨
Forget goose down bc all their bedding is just stuffed with cash at this point.
Barry Jenkins deserves so much better.
Really Disney? A White Pride of Albino Lion? Seriously? 🤨
Woke, race hustling bs propaganda. People need to STOP supporting Disney in every way...
They said, "White Pride"
But it is a first for the Lion King franchise overall cause in the Lion Guard, lions can be different colors like the Night Pride being brown.

29:20 "No one knew of his ass, except his mama was there and maybe she talked about him a little bit" 😂 Joseph, you are natural comedy gold.
everything looks like a windows background
Mufasa: The Lion King movie reading 😆
What a year for unnecessary sequels. Gladiator 2, Joker part 2, Mufasa. They said all they needed to say with the first one and a sequel was unneeded.
Hear ya. To be real, no movie was ever needed to begin with though.
Don't forget Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
It’s an easy cash cow I guess, I feel like production companies just don’t want to take risks with new stories.
Thank you for your service.
Kids that are fans of the series will not be surprised that taka is scar due to the lion guard tv show.

Nick roared "Lion King" like a lion 🦁
"The circle of Life flatlines..." that's all I needed to hear 😂 I'll be skipping this one! Thanks
I’m so over the remakes can we get biopics and other stories we don’t know about or get excited about
Was going to see this next weekend.
Jenkins QUICKLY went on the record distancing himself from the film
why does the movie look so colorless ?
Another Billy Eichner disaster 😂😂
Those T-shirts are so cute ❤ I love them 🤣

The baby Nala had was most likely kion cause lion guard is canon to disney and is canon to disney btw abd kion is kiaras younger brother
There is a scene in the trailer where timon and pumba fight scar, does this scene make it in the movie or was it cut????

Doesn’t sound as good as the lion king story wise. Oh well, glad we got to see some more of this universe, but I’ll stick with my 90s cartoon.

Would that be kion!
Most likely since Kiara is there
Sapporo. 😂
I wonder if the white lions are a nod to Kimba lol
This is definitely a movie that would make me cry. I won't be watching it! Is it for kids or adults? It seems violent and a lot going on for kids!!!
I think he was telling doubters to go kick rocks when this was first announced?
I wish they stop with these Lion King films.
They sing too?????!!! What ?!

I don't like any of the CGI realism.
Sounds like a bummer to me. I'll take my grandsons to Sonic 3 instead.
Can't wait to see Sonic 3! 😅
Wait they are talking bout white pride in this movie? Bold Disney 😂
Not really. Disney has BEEN on board with everything woke- which means everything to make men and/or white people look evil or incompetent.
Deceased!!!!
Please, enough with the hyperrealism.
I knew it would be some BS
Even if it's not great it will still make a lot of money because kids will love it.
F*ck it. Might as well hear what actually happens in case I don’t see the flick
So corny you got chills! Wow, this sounds so bad!!
Stop being racist not all lions look alike…race is a social construct 17:37
