    It's funny that I found this video because I was messing around last night with a similar idea, but I was trying to have 4 BPs in the crafter and swap out resources. But I realized it would only work for items with different resource requirements. I just recreated this in creative mode and it works great! Going to attempt to do this on a real server this weekend and blow my teams' minds haha. Thanks for the informative video

      you can also use one more sensor to trigger different type of resources to pull in and out of crafter, but its way more complicated. and its better to add just a second crafter

    Thanks for sharing! Works great as is, and is very useful for setting limits on crafting. But after trying to scale it up to craft more recipes I discovered an important limitation: it really only works if all the recipes have a total number of different ingredients up to 4. I didn't try yet, but I think it will also still be possible with this system to have more than 4 blueprints as long as the ingredients are the same (eg. many different ammo types). But if you try to craft for example, explosives and rockets on the same work bench, you will run into the problem of items from previous recipes clogging the auto crafter up and preventing ingredients for the new recipe from being received. I could not find a reliable solution for this, so if you want to automate a LOT of crafts, you will be better off setting up multiple workbenches that use recipes with common ingredients.

      thats correct it has a limitation of 4 materials to craft items. it will clog up the entire system if you add other BP's that make the toal of all BP's use more than 4 materials. Just put on another crafter and do a seperate system for this. ONLY 4 materials max for each set of BP's to craft

      @lucahoffmann8695 Год назад +6

      For rockets and explosives you only need one lvl 3 workbench because you can just put 2 auto crafters on one workbench (one on bottom and one on top) this way you avoid the clogging

      I saw a video that uses radio frequencies to time the crafting and fix that issue but it's complicated. The guy just shows you a tutorial of it working some parts of the build but not an actual tutorial on how to build it. You would have to screenshot images and try to replicate it. He was able to get eight items crafting on one workbench in a 1 by 1 grid. I'm sure he arranged the materials in a way that didn't clash too much. He also said the parameters for the exact material for that one particular item that was to be crafted so the inventory in the auto crafter would be empty for the next item.

    Great proof of concept for multiple BP’s but if your goal is to craft just 3 BP’s and one of them is a T1 BP you can just use 2 crafters on a T2 to make the 55 and meds and another crafter on a T1 with the only downside being needing to place a t1 somewhere but saving time and metal resources in the long run by crafting less electrical components

    Cool setup. Got one question tho, after the box that receives the crafted items (syringe+bullets), I would generally distribute that to 3 boxes (one for pistol, one for 5.56 and one for syringes). If I use this setup, the "buffer" box is used as the sensors, so it only stops crafting, when my final boxes are all 100% full, because it will keep pulling based on the "buffer". Is it possible to set it up in a way that it crafts X amount of items then stop?

    • @DRIFT9LE
      @DRIFT9LE  Год назад

      Not possible. U need to use sensor

    • @Niitz87
      @Niitz87 Год назад +1

      @@DRIFT9LE I was able to do it :) Simply adding another splitter after the "buffer" box. Then you pull from that splitter to your final destination boxes, going through new conveyors that will have the limit you want in the "destination" box. With that, your final boxes will only pull the set limit, and the sensors work just as your video shows! Thanks!
