@@She-millz *Top ten reasons where Islam gives special status to women. Final goal, is to become a houri in Jannah for the sëx uāl pleasure of men* 10. A husband has sëx with his wife, as a plow goes into a field. The Quran in Sura (Chapter) 2:223 says: Your women are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like . . . . 9. Husbands are a degree above their wives. The Quran in Sura 2:228 says:Wives have the same rights as the husbands have on them in accordance with the generally known principles. Of course, men are a degree above them in status . . . 8. A male gets a double share of the inheritance over that of a female. The Quran in Sura 4:11 says: The share of the male shall be twice that of a female . . . . . A woman's testimony counts half of a man's testimony. The Quran in Sura 2:282 says: And let two men from among you bear witness to all such documents [contracts of loans without interest]. But if two men be not available, there should be one man and two women to bear witness so that if one of the women forgets (anything), the other may remind her. 6. A wife may remarry her ex-husband if and only if she marries another man, they have sëx, and then this second man divorces her. The Quran in Sura 2:230 says: And if the husband divorces his wife (for the third time), she shall not remain his lawful wife after this (absolute) divorce, unless she marries another husband and the second husband divorces her. [In that case] there is no harm if they [the first couple] remarry . . . 5. Slave-girls are sêxüãl property for their male owners. The Quran in Sura 4:24 says: And forbidden to you are wedded wives of other people except those who have fallen in your hands [as prisoners of war] . . .
4. A man may be polygamous with up to four wives. The Quran in Sura 4:3 says: And if you be apprehensive that you will not be able to do justice to the orphans, you may marry two or three or four women whom you choose. But if you apprehend that you might not be able to do justice to them, then marry only one wife, or marry those who have fallen in your possession. 3. A husband may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives. The Quran in Sura 4:129 says: It is not within your power to be perfectly equitable in your treatment with all your wives, even if you wish to be so; therefore, [in order to satisfy the dictates of Divine Law] do not lean towards one wife so as to leave the other in a state of suspense. . Husbands may hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives (quite apart from whether they actually are highhanded The Quran in Sura 4:34 says: 4:34 . . . If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great 1. Mature men are allowed to marry prepubescent girls. The Quran in Sura 65:1, 4 says: 65:1 O Prophet, when you [and the believers] divorce women, divorce them for their prescribed waiting-period and count the waiting-period accurately . . . 4 And if you are in doubt about those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, (you should know that) their waiting period is three months, and the same applies to those who have not menstruated as yet. As for pregnant women, their period ends when they have delivered their burden.

Thanks both of you for that caveat at the beginning. When I worked in a public high school in a mostly Muslim area in my (Aussie) city I really began to appreciate just how many different ways people practice Islam (and , yes, how seriously they cling to Hadith). So as not to feed into public Islamophobia, it’s really important to let your viewers know that not every family is like Aisha’s and that there are equivalents of Christian’s who just go to church at Easter and Xmas, as well as devout hijabi muslims who spend their lives trying to help those less fortunate regardless of gender, religion or sexuality (and without intention of converting people). And then there’s the families like Aisha’s, keeping score of religious social status hierarchies and assuming this will affect their afterlife positively - I’m pretty sure destructive gossip and bullying are frowned on by most gods!
The problem are not Muslims, it's islam. You're confusing two things. Islamophobia is a fear of islam and I would say it's healthy when you see what is in it. What isn't is being anti-muslim. You don't say a judeophob for an antisemite do you? Because it is not distrust or even hatred of a religion that is a problem.
So, in other words, religious people who take their religion seriously and adhere to sexual mores that have been with us for millennia are the problem? But those who think it's all one big joke are OK?
Love your show you are so kind your guests and you guide the conversation so nicely without interrupting them. I think you would make a wonderful psychologist.

I come from a religious background that is considered as a cult by majority of people. When I left at 18 I lost everything I knew, I lost my family and I lost my friends. That hurt but knowing that the people I loved the most and still miss never loved me based on who I am but based on conditions will never stop hurting. They talk about unconditional love and don't even understand what that means.

I am 64. I was adopted as an infant. My adopted parents were Americans, ethnic Germans and Lutheran. We stopped attending church when I was 6. When I was 16 I told them that when I was 18 I intended to convert to Orthodox Judaism and emigrant to Israel. They handed me a suitcase and kicked me out having no idea of where I would go. I could easily have ended up prostituted on the street (we lived just outside New York City). My point is that you don't need to be in a "cult" to be a horrible parent. The US is full of throwaway kids. "It's my way or the highway."
@hocuspocus123 No it was after studying Jewish history more than anything plus living in close proximity to Orthodox communities. There are numerous converts to Orthodox Judaism each year however they are inconspicuous. Also the Orthodox community doesn't believe in doing outreach to gentiles.
@JacobStein1960 I read the scripture of all three Abrahamic religions and can't think for a moment wanting to be part of any. I found that God they worship is genocidal, misogynistic, homophobic, petty, hateful, and so much more. So, to me, I find it fascinating and really want to know what makes a person choose a religion over another. Sorry, but I still would say a cult over another.
These issues with parents undermine you at some deep, fundamental level, it's so hard to recover. And it used to be even worse and even more widespread - a doctor 'demanding' that the son becomes a doctor too or else, 'this is MY son' (you own me, do you) etc etc. People can be both so nice and loving and so stupid and narrow-minded it beggars belief.
Here is my question. Why do people flee or escape from oppressive countries and governments (often religion is intermingled with the governmental rules) to a western or secular nation, yet bring the oppression with them and try to make the new place like the old place? (in reference to the guests' parents)

your work is so greatly appreciated and NEEDED out here. as an adult searching for answers, infidel noodle was one of the first ex muslim creators i came across when i was looking for answers which ended up in my leaving the warped version of Islam my mom pushed on us. keep up the good work you’re the best ✨

They leave those comments because they can't control you any more. So proud of you for speaking up girl 🦄🦄
@@I_am_not_your_sister We're all brothers and sisters.
Leaving comments can be due to two reasons:
1) they are afraid of your comment
2) your comment is bullshit 😅
How did you confirm the former and dismiss the latter exactly?
@amAntidisestablishmentarianist The third reason some people leave comments is because they're telling the truth and exposing the lies.
Three things happened in 1979:
1. Mecca was hijacked by terrorists

You should put this on a T-shirt: “No you’re not a terrible sinner, you just have critical thinking skills.” I’m not sure if that was exactly it or not, but it was a great statement!
I am so sorry that your family have treated you this way. If you were my daughter, I would be incredibly proud and supportive of you.
My mom was a midwife who attended birthing mothers in District Six in the late 1950's. Assisting Cape Malay Mohammedan moms, families, neighbours and community was the happiest time of her life. to remind you that in the OT actions have consequences , prophets are work in progress, the protagonists are NOT people whose actions we must imitate, as they do not know how to love, starting with Adam and Eve who are unable to defend each other as soon as they feel fear,.,so does David in love with a married woman, Saul who is punished for obeying then vengeful priest ...you need the love lens of Jesus to understand the Hebrew texts, wisdom of Budda for Hinduism, logic and curiosity of Socrates to connect the conclusions .

You are so brave, Aisha. Thank you for sharing.
I am so glad that you are in Australia where I am sure you get some protection against the religious nut jobs that are everywhere.
It might seem harsh to be thankful that your parents only disowned you, when even here in Canada (somewhat similar to Australia), we hear about “honour killings “ of rebellious daughters.
Stay safe and keep on speaking out. You are doing a good thing.
It will be a great world when honor killings are no longer an issue and women no longer pray or blamed for males actions....but they are the strong ones....they donate to making life we make it 😊

As an ex-Muslim, I would tell this brave woman: Congratulations on liberating yourself from mental slavery of Islam!
The thing her mother said, that they never will be proud of her, until she wears jihab, its so sad. My children dont have to do anything and I love them, no matter what, and Im proud if them.
Many Muslim parents still thinks like that, you know. If not majority. Although I've seen some are quite liberal. Either way, wearing hijab with heavy makeups and strong perfumes is just shows their hypocrisy.
Did they really love you? I could not disown my kids. I feel with this woman. Strong and sensible.

November is Islamophobia Awareness Month, but this video perfectly illustrates why many people, myself included, have legitimate and justified criticism and dislike of Islam. It's not always down to ignorance and bigotry.
My question is:
Why are organized religions so full of hate? Just very sad.
Yes, very sad.

Alhamdulillah she left Islam. We need to uplift voices like this
I have such love for here! I adopted a teenage daughter, I was married to her father. Yes in Islam adoption is not supported but did it to give her advantages). She was so excited to be exposed to Christianity. She left Islam and her father and I divorced. I never ever converted to Islam. I raised all my children as Christians and was the strongest person in the marriage that I had been in. Islam was just an excuse for him to be a cheater, liar, thief, and I had to work to support myself and my children. I applaud her bravery to speak out on leaving Islam.
In Islam, anyone who adopts a child will be rewarded and it is a good deed, the prophet did it, also to say someone had Islam as the excuse to cheat and lie etc is crazy, you have the totally wrong idea about Islam and must not be around proper decent Muslims, please don’t lie on Islam its giving the wrong idea to others, also my Christian family all disowned me on my fathers side including my father, because reverted to Islam, around the time my mother died Aswell, they were cold and heartless but I don’t judge all Christian’s because of their bad actions.

Muhammad did adopt a son... at first... he gave him his family name, he could say that he's Zayd Ibn Muhammad, Zayd Son of Muhammad.
He married, but then one day Muhammad saw his wife naked, made some comment about Allah guiding his heart, left her there, suddenly he got a "revelation" saying that adoption is actually haram, Zayd Ibn Muhammad can't wear his name, he will have to take back it's old name, Zayd Ibn Haritha.
Thanks to that, they were no longer father and son, and once Zayd repudiated his wife, Muhammad finally could marry her.

*Top ten reasons where Islam gives special status to women. Final goal, is to become a houri in Jannah for the sëx uāl pleasure of men*
10. A husband has sëx with his wife, as a plow goes into a field.
The Quran in Sura (Chapter) 2:223 says:
Your women are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like . . . .
9. Husbands are a degree above their wives.
The Quran in Sura 2:228 says:Wives have the same rights as the husbands have on them in accordance with the generally
known principles. Of course, men are a degree above them in status . . .
8. A male gets a double share of the inheritance over that of a female.
The Quran in Sura 4:11 says:
The share of the male shall be twice that of a female . . . .
. A woman's testimony counts half of a man's testimony.
The Quran in Sura 2:282 says:
And let two men from among you bear witness to all such documents [contracts of loans without
interest]. But if two men be not available, there should be one man and two women to bear
witness so that if one of the women forgets (anything), the other may remind her.
6. A wife may remarry her ex-husband if and only if she marries another man, they have
sëx, and then this second man divorces her.
The Quran in Sura 2:230 says:
And if the husband divorces his wife (for the third time), she shall not remain his lawful wife
after this (absolute) divorce, unless she marries another husband and the second husband
divorces her. [In that case] there is no harm if they [the first couple] remarry . . .
5. Slave-girls are sêxüãl property for their male owners.
The Quran in Sura 4:24 says:
And forbidden to you are wedded wives of other people except those who have fallen in your
hands [as prisoners of war] . . .
4. A man may be polygamous with up to four wives.
The Quran in Sura 4:3 says:
And if you be apprehensive that you will not be able to do justice to the orphans, you may marry
two or three or four women whom you choose. But if you apprehend that you might not be able
to do justice to them, then marry only one wife, or marry those who have fallen in your
possession.
3. A husband may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives.
The Quran in Sura 4:129 says:
It is not within your power to be perfectly equitable in your treatment with all your wives, even if
you wish to be so; therefore, [in order to satisfy the dictates of Divine Law] do not lean towards
one wife so as to leave the other in a state of suspense.
. Husbands may hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their
wives (quite apart from whether they actually are highhanded
The Quran in Sura 4:34 says:
4:34 . . . If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then
ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act
against them. God is most high and great
1. Mature men are allowed to marry prepubescent girls.
The Quran in Sura 65:1, 4 says:
65:1 O Prophet, when you [and the believers] divorce women, divorce them for their prescribed
waiting-period and count the waiting-period accurately . . . 4 And if you are in doubt about
those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, (you should know that) their waiting
period is three months, and the same applies to those who have not menstruated as yet. As for
pregnant women, their period ends when they have delivered their burden.

Glad you brought her to your show, she definitely deserves more collaborations like this so everyone can understand the truth
I find it repugnant that in this day and age the only way a person feels they can only speak freely behind a mask 😢 please, keep speaking your truth and Shelise thank you for giving people a platform to speak their truth, experiences and help them to continue their healing journey ❤❤

There are great similarities between having mu-slim parents and narcissistic parents, the gaslighting, the discard, conditional love etc, scary 😦
💯 Yes, I lived it!
Same with every religion, if you think that claims of absolute truth come without narcissism, you are delusional
Very similar to a lot of other fundamentalist religions too.
I agree, but not just Muslim parents but any fundamental belief parents....coming from someone raised by a covert narcissistic mother. Finally got out 3 months ago but not doing good at the moment very dark place

Beautiful soul !,,, as an Arab speaker who grew up in a Muslim country, I get it , bless that woman for standing up for her well being , her conscience , her dignity !,,
Powerful closing statements. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Proud of you. Well done
So proud of you! ❤

Love your show you are so kind your guests and you guide the conversation so nicely without interrupting them. I think you would make a wonderful psychologist.
❤❤❤ she’s a gorgeous soul. It blows my mind that parents can just turn their back on their children, regardless if they are grown adults or not. This goes for all religions.
💯👍🏽❤️
100% there is (almost) nothing my child could be or do that would make me turn my back on them.
And yet the most disowned kids from all religious groups are ex-muslims
I come from a religious background that is considered as a cult by majority of people. When I left at 18 I lost everything I knew, I lost my family and I lost my friends. That hurt but knowing that the people I loved the most and still miss never loved me based on who I am but based on conditions will never stop hurting. They talk about unconditional love and don't even understand what that means.
They forget that love is more sacred than any dogma.
Anabaptist by chance? Possibly ultra strict Apostolic Pentecostal?

Her parents should be proud of raising someone of such strength and independence. They should throw away all their religious petty mindedness and embrace her as she is. 🎉
I'm sure they are proud, at least her mother but with death as a possible outcome to show that to her, I can understand why they don't.
This religion is cult and this cult brainwashed them to love it and more than their own kids.. it's sad how religion takes our humanity and most precious human characteristics 😢

Wow, wanting to convert to orthodox Judaism by choice. Was that after reading the scripture??
@hocuspocus123 No it was after studying Jewish history more than anything plus living in close proximity to Orthodox communities. There are numerous converts to Orthodox Judaism each year however they are inconspicuous. Also the Orthodox community doesn't believe in doing outreach to gentiles.
By the way, they're all cults, and your chosen is what started it all!
Orthodox Judaism is a cult. Sure it’s good life for men maybe. Not so much for women.
Let's support this brave woman and others like her!
Here is my question. Why do people flee or escape from oppressive countries and governments (often religion is intermingled with the governmental rules) to a western or secular nation, yet bring the oppression with them and try to make the new place like the old place? (in reference to the guests' parents)
Because religion is a given and separate in their minds from the oppressive government.
Replacemebt, dont be afraid of islamophobia its an reasonable hate
