Sorry, Jon, but that First lick, where you say he does a "double pull off" for a triplet, well it's a triplet all right, but he's not pulling off those notes he's PICKING EACH NOTE.... A lot of the notes you're pulling off to our Picked in the original solo... I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass because for years I did the same thing I did a lot of pull-offs because it's enables us to play Faster!.. But if you really listen to that Whole Lotta Love solo, what gives it such tremendous bite, is the fact that he's picking a lot of the notes, that you could pull off to but it takes the attack out of the sound... I used to wonder, why guys would spend so much time, alternate-picking Scales, over and over again!.. It wasn't so much to practice the scale shape but to be able to get cleaner and faster at alternate picking!... But you're GREAT for figuring out all this stuff!.. Thanks!.. 👍👍👍
