Something about her response and constant probing of Cid tells me she may already knows that Cid is Mundane Man/Shadow and she just decides to keep quiet because she only seemed concerned with having a strong opponent. No, it's just that like a few characters that didn't know about Cid's power.... they can still sense his potential. His sister is another example. She has no clue about Cid's real power, but can tell that he's either much stronger than he lets on, or can become stronger. Rose also picked up on this about Cid early on starting with thier match before the school was taken over.

Iris did have a lot of heavy expectations put on her. But she definitely got the wrong picture about things and this is the start of her decline. She's so eager to prove herself with strength that she isn't thinking clearly. Strength isn't everything even if you did have it. Getting "dog walked" this episode and the next just makes it that much worse for her. And she eventually becomes way too convinced that Shadow Garden is evil.
agreed. People tend to hate on Iris, but I actually really like her character. She's a really great foil for the mc, and she also isn't a static character either- she goes through well-written character growth, growing more and more disillusioned with everything and straying from the once upright princess she was.
@@jaredlewis3001 a bit of spoilers, but as far as I know Iris is so hellbent on taking down Shadow Garden due to all of this stuff going on, that she's manipulated that much easier by the Cult.... And She's eventually convinced that the Cult doesn't exist and that Shadow Garden is the only enemy. This puts her at MAJOR odds with Alexia and it honestly looks like those two will end up fighting each other later down the line. I don't know everything about what goes on later, but it's certainly looking like Alexia is getting set up to surpass her older sister. And she may or may not end up joining Shadow Garden too.

The earthlings will worship Shadow like a God when he comes back to earth 😂👌

Japan has been nearly destroyed though since magical beasts invaded the planet. Long story short, they return to Earth but Beta secretly brings back an unconscious Akane with them.

I don't see it as he toyed with her. I think he was more so testing her out bc he knew she was actually stronger than iris which is why he was focusing more on her than iris. Iris he just dog walked for 2 episodes bc he knew she was weak which is why he said she has to lean on a crutch when she pulled out that sword lol.
