Wow, this video is absolutely epic! The anticipation and excitement build up throughout the entire hunt, and seeing that dominant stag finally appear is such a rewarding payoff. The blend of real-time footage, insightful commentary, and the raw beauty of New Zealand's wilderness makes this episode a must-watch. Joey Wilds and his team do an incredible job capturing the thrill of the hunt and the challenges they face. Once again awesome footage and action, if I wasn't sitting on my arse at home, I would have fully thought I was there as well. Great ole man Stag and decent color skin. Let's get Katherine her first with the bow.
Glad to hear you enjoy the content so much, all the way over on the other side of the world! The trail cam is pretty exciting for us too! We will have to try get more footage!
Cheers for that David! The hinds (females) are in poor condition because they've just raised their fawns. Often they look a bit lean this time of year, having produced all that milk.
Great content! We'll start sending your channel to our clients who recently bought land from us near the hunting areas. This will surely give them motivation to try new activities like hunting and camping. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Love the trail cam videos along with all the hunts you do. I want to come visit and hunt with you guys. Fantastic videos. Ive become a huge fan. Thank you for sharing.
@@j.e.wilds-hunting if my friend has time to play in my area of Acheh, here there are still quite a lot of buffalo deer in the blue mountain area, I often hunt but there are no snaps.
epic vid joe, more trail cam, time lapse the night sky again that was awesome and the best footage before that shot, the rain the river, how dominant he was. good vid
That wild weather made for such a cool hunt. The cameras got a beating in the wet, but cool it worked out for the video, for you guys. Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
So sorry that she couldn't get a bow shot on that stag, I was literally on the edge of my seat during that stalk. Great video footage. I'm in a wheelchair now from a horrific car crash, but I once lived for the hunt. Thanks for sharing your hunt, I'm can't wait for the next episode.
Stag behaviour is so interesting. On our team's road hunt in south westland, we found that the stags would come in to investigate twig snapping, roar and the could be brought right in to 50-60m. It was the twig snapping that got them to investigate. Then after some decent rain they went completely off the boil. Only roaring defensively after moving off to cover.. once suspicious they buggered out of sight and then called to protect territory. And that was it, roar over! Such interesting behaviour. We might have got the end of the aggressive part of the roar. There was still a bit going on, but not quite what it had been, with stags roaring constantly until ~1030pm. Nice video team. Look forward to some footage of Katherine's first bowhunt stag?
Yeah they can vary a lot each different day weve found also. I think we timed it just right for that particular valley. Last year for us it was the opposite, we were just behind the action most places we went. Its so good listening to them roar at night while laying in your bed, I love that. Its good you got out for a hunt, I hope it went well. Part 3 sure is Katherines episode, its a big moment for her!
@@j.e.wilds-hunting cheers mate, really interesting to hear about your experiences. Yep, was a successful hunt. Bagged a very solid 10 point stag, my first. Only 10 points, but so heavy I couldn't roll him over without doing it in small steps. Couldn't drag him to butcher out from under the fern. What an experience. Unreal. Keep up the good work
