Im saddened by the passing of Boysy. It was always so cool to see him with you on many of your hunts and fishing expeditions. Such a cool dog and family member. The bond between a dog and its owner is matched by no other. I have recently become a dog owner to a rescue. I dont know what i would do without her. Stay strong Joe and move forward. We will take the journey with you and also mourn the loss with you. Godspeed from Long Island NY. USA
I have a dog named Blackie...even if she shines more bronze in bright sunlight. Exactly the same as your Boysie in appearance. She is kelpie. I know what you mean about loss when they leave us. Blackie has been with me over ten years and goes crazy if I am out. Like kids, they need their adventures with you...from the BBQ to the wilderness and even kayaking! . The appearance of her face full of grey whiskers reminds me of our mortality. Its a good tribute to a lost family member and buddy! RIP Boysie.... You left a mark few of us ever will!
First time watching- it hurts to lose a loved one, but from the looks of it Boysy lived one heck of a life and I'm sure you can find some consolation in helping him achieve that.
Fantastic vid as always and a beautiful tribute to old mate. A special dog and your amazing bond was always evident in all your adventures I saw. Sad he’s gone but what a journey. Stay safe and well mate.
Finally sat down and watched this vid after a long week. It was a bit of therapy for me really. The bond between a man and a dog is a unique one. It's based in a mutual trust to which dogs like ours add complete unconditional love and loyalty. I have not been able to get another dog because it seems I have been focusing on the loss and not repeating it. This has me thinking about getting another dog. Sincerely, thank you Joe. Of all the friends and family I've lost that damn dog is the one I miss the most because ... well, just because. Cheers dude.
A great tribute to a best mate. My dogs give my life meaning, without them what would be the point? My body is old but the willing spirits of my dogs keeps me content, so what more can you ask for.
RIP boysie only found your channel a few weeks ago I am loving your videos knowing that it is our beautiful country makes it 10 times better lovely tribute ❤
OH MY GOD that ending made me cry at my desk in the office. Rest easy old boy and my heart goes out to you Joe as I know the hole they leave all to well.
What an awesome vid and tribute to the old boy. The ending made me sad thinking of my old dog and the adventures we had. I feel for you man they are only here for a few years but they are such a big part of our lives.
Mate, loving your channel. Just found it and working backward in sequence. This was tastefully done. I’ve had two K9 family pass. This was touching and made my heart heavy and grateful. Nice mate. Sorry for the loss of your winged mate.JB
Ah Joe. With a heavy heart, sending my sincere condolences at this challenging time bro. This episode is such a fitting episode to pay tribute to your loyal and great friend, Boysie. Know that a better life you could not have given Boysie and the two of you have inspired many to get out there and take life by the horns and absorb it. Every day. It's why we are here ... and we often forget. Thank you Boysie for your positive effect you have had on so many. I include myself. Peacefully rest well, legend. - SMITHY
Joe, what you are doing is a great tribute to Boyzie. As I said previously, I feel and know your pain very acutely as I lost my Boyzie more than five years ago. However, it still feels like yesterday. The shame of the matter is, we will most always outlive our pets. I think we because of that, they are given to us as gifts to teach us how to love unconditionally. Allow yourself to just be there in the moment, with your memories, and allow that anguish to flow through you. Keep in mind the wild places, and adventures you shared. Maybe Boyzie thought it was okay for him to go, knowing you had Katherine. You will keep him alive in your heart. Rest in the knowledge that he is happy, and pain free, and waiting for you.
First thing I thought of when I saw where you were hunting was old Boyzie. Cherish the memories! Enjoy your vids very much! All the way from South Africa!
Feeling your pain brother. I just had to say good bye to my best buddy and hunting and fishing partner of 14 yrs. Miss him daily. There is always that one that stands apart from all the others. He is chasing pigs and stags above and you will see him again some day. That place you were hunting is truly magnificent. I big Ole NZ stag is definitely on my bucket list. I need to get after it though. Iam starting to get up there in age and feel all the crazy stuff I put my nody through at a younger age. Things don't quite work like they used to haha.
R.I.P Boysie...i can remember when you started making hunting vids with him years ago Joe, as an avid pig hunter myself i feel your pain any pigdog that makes it to retirement age is a special dog🙂...cherish those memories mate!
Real heartbreaking to hear your wee bud passing away, always a real hard thing to deal with but there’s always a warm feeling to know the memories and good times you had will never die. Boysy saw more amazing country than most people in NZ, lucky lucky dog!!
Your solo vids are why I started watching you. This one and your last time in this valley ya best I reckon. Thanks so much. Sorry ya missing ya old mate.
Hey Joe...I feel your pain and I know what you're going through losing you dog.....And It's ok to cry, I've done it losing my hunting dog (Oskar) and I think many a man has shed a tear or two when they lose a dog too. Dogs are truly a means best friend, Especially in the bush and out hunting etc. Kia Kaha my friend.
You gave your dog one hell of a life. One that I’m jealous of keep doing what you’re doing enjoying life and remembering the good times with your good friend😎 good morning from Long Island New York USA.
my heart go out to you kathrine and yourself losing a family member is always hard but hes over the rainbow bridge chasing all the rabbits and female dogs he could dream of, he will be missed but hes in a happier place, much love !
I love your videos, NZ looks so fantastic, sadly no public areas in the UK like that. Lovely tribute to Boysy. Dogs are such special companions, I watched this latest film cuddling my own dog with a tear in my eye. I hope you find comfort in the fact he had a great life. Look forward to the next Video. Your friend in the UK.
I know your pain Joe I lost 2 of my best old dogs in the last 15 odd years and I miss them dearly but life goes on but the memories never die RIP our old mates.
Lost my dog of 15 years and through my childhood life this year. Cant explain how lost i still am and dont want to replace him. For he was the greatest thing in my life.
Heart goes out to you bro, can't imagine what your loss means to you. But you have so many memories to look back on to remind you of all the awesome adventures you both went on. Kia kaha bro
Hey Buddy, im new to the channel and i have to say you have some of the best hunting video production i have ever seen. Coupled with the amazing NZ country and high quality photography and hunting gear, its been an absolutely amazing journey watching your content so far. I have to say im extremely envious... i love your content im all in mate, keep it coming you boys are doin it right.... Love your work... Respect from Queensland Australia....
So sorry to hear about Boysey..(? spelling), I know how much that hurts. I have lost a few myself. A great video though and a great tribute to your relationship with him. Had a few tears myself...great seeing that stag and some of his offspring with the white eye ring. Great vlog, thanks so much for sharing this.
No words mate. Memories yes. A well known pig hunter author once said, as his badly ripped bailer passed away on the table at the vet, "big tough pig hunters don't cry, do they.??" It's OK to show emotion mate. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
This one touches deed and is special man. More than the hunt itself, is the reason behind it. Beautiful vid man, great tribute to boysy. Legend of a partner. Cheers from Portugal, Pedro
So sorry about Boise mate, I found a Doberman puppy outside my office when I was 20 and named him PX, he stayed with me for 19 years until he died of illness and I was shattered to pieces. Seeing your video reminds me of PX because he was all black like Boise. Keep the videos coming mate I enjoy and love watching them.
Sorry to hear about Boyse, what a true companion you had there. We start off looking for a working dog but end up with a new family member that would get better love and dnourishment than ourselves. Iv been told by many to get a puppy , but some people just dont get it... look after yourself lad.
I'm gutted my bro. Boysie was a legend who shadowed your every step with loyal silence, love and respect. I have my own shadow her name is Shiloh, rest assured these true companions will always walk at our sides long after they are gone. Chin up Joe Boysie isn't far behind.
oh man...i feel your pain just the bond and everything i lost my pup a year ago not a day goes by where i almost call him to tag along saddens me i wish we could have more time but that just doesn't come at a price....

Well. What to say.. RIP Boysy... But let's see the bright side.. Boysy lived a fuller life than most of the people nowadays I think.. I feel happy about the wonderful life he had..❤
Love these adventures. The terrain is beyond beautiful. I live in Alberta Canada and we don't have landscapes like that. Great hunting here but it's usually bitter cold in hunting season. We do get some amazing mule, whitetail, elk, and moose opportunities. Would love to go on a trip w you guys. stay safe. Allan
Mate, sorry about your loss. The cuts to Boysie being in the same place you walked this day was really awesome. Seems like you weren't meant to be there to hunt but to just reminisce on the old fella and your adventures. On another note, was that one of your cameras or a trail cam at 18:01 around 1.5m left of the "Remember this spot" arrow head? Looks like it glints as you pan the camera.
TOP NOTCH VIDEO!! I'm a fan of nature and hunter myself, and i can only say i enjoyed every second of this video! Also sorry for your loss, but that's the circle of life.. :( but one day you'll see again, for sure! Keep up the great work!! best regards from austria.
