  • A new project car enters the auto obsessive garage. Sporting AWD, 4WS, a twin-turbo DOHC V6 engine, and enough tech to shame most early shuttle program efforts...the 1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo is an early 90s technological sports car. This example isn't quite space ready just yet, but I bet we will get there shortly. #dodgestealth #mitsubishi3000gt #carrepair

    To get the etching out you can grab a compound polish with a high rpm buffer (air compression) and the water spots will come out. All in all, if you have to buy it all, it will cost a few hundred

      Good to know, thank you. I’m always so scared to approach old paint like this...but I have to get over it. I have much to learn in the detailing skill set.

    Subscribed! Nice stealth! I couldn't really tell from the quick shots of the odometer but how many miles are on it? I would also recommend replacing the motor mounts if they haven't ever been replaced.

      Andrew McIntosh thanks man! Yeah I’m super pumped to get this thing sorted. Its got just under 158k on the clock. I will certainly inspect the motor mounts, thanks for the tip.

      Saw your reveiw and had to subscribe and come watch the build!! I picked up my 92TT for cheap...but it was in pieces!! Drivetrain out and stuffed into the interior... What a jigsaw puzzle!! But i bought the factory manuals the day after i brought the car home. After a full engine rebuild, some new ball joints, and fresh brakes... Shes amazing!! Have some electrical kinks to still work out, and tiny cosmetics, but having a fresh 89k mile Stealth RT/TT gets one thing off my bucket list too!!!!

    The thing that aggravates me is when someone gets a stealth and changes the front end and spoiler to a 3000gt. Leave this classic car alone!!!

      Don’t know off the top of my head, but nearly all OBD1 cars have some way to read codes by jumping certain fuses.

    The y pipe looks aftermarket as well, just painted black. Stock are plastic.

    • @autoobsessivegarage
      @autoobsessivegarage  3 года назад

      It is aftermarket...good eye. The stock ones sometimes separate where the rubber and plastics meet, which is not an ideal place for a leak.
