The most gamebreaking gtlich in this entire game has to be the pause before a transition bug, I can’t imagine playing a stage of this game without the incredible music!

I love Streets of Rage 2, I had no clue this video existed! Which is quite funny because I did the exact same thing 4 years ago and even commented but then forgot entirely.
If you want to illustrate the point of SoR2's glitching soundtrack you might want to pause the music for the video too. :-P

At leads they don't ignore Streets of rage, they did SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) 3D Classics for Streets of rage 1, 2, and 3

Released on Switch and XB1 this weekend. Not sure about the other platforms.
Great video, though there's a couple of glitches you missed:
1. some characters if you delay their B button combo can keep a lot of enemies in infinite hit stun, (Axel is the easiest to perform this with if you delay after his 2nd or 3rd hit)
2. I don't know the exact method to perform this, but it's possible if you and player 2 are either side and attack the same enemy so the hits connect at the exact same time it can cause a strange kind of infinite hits effect which DESTROYS their health bar regardless of how big it is and guarantees a KO. I've performed this and also fallen victim to the AI surrounding me and doing this to me and a friend at the same time on Mania difficulty x.x
***** #2 is dubbed "the handshake of death" by speedrunners. And you have to both be hitting the same group of more than 1 enemy on the same frame to initiate it. :3
+ShinKou Show the fastest way to grind max point is your glitch N°2 as double max on kickboxers from stage 5 / 6 or 7 boom 999.999p ( 1. is not glitch )
That second one is literally the only glitch I wanted to see and he didn't cover it

OH.... YES!!!!
There is a sort of glitch that if you grab Axel from behind just before he finished performing the A + Forward special attack, he won't lose any health for using the attack.
There is also the fact you can press and hold B during the stage end and then release it to perform an attack (even though every other input is disabled)

You forgot one of the most well known glitches of streets of rage 2, the "handshake of death" where 2 players attack an opponent at the same time and deal up to 2 bars worth of damage, also the block glitch with thunder tackle works better on zamzas than barbons, and it also works (to a lesser degree) with skates corkscrew kick

I've played through SOR 2 a trillion times (Almost), And you have just made the game more awesome then ever! Time for another trillion times.
The trick that makes you replay it so many times is the group of numbers called a "score". It motivates you to keep playing and break that score and get a new high score

I think you should start a new spin off series called "Glitch of the week" where you rank 10 glitches that people send to you and you rank them one to ten. I would really like this because it can involve myths channel's subscribers. It can also mean a lot more variety. With this series we can see some really epic glitches from games that otherwise would not merit a full episode. Please feedback on what you think of this idea and like this comment if you want it to happen!

Don’t forget the “backward bare knuckle”
If you hold up + jump you can land on your feet when the enemy throws you. My fingers did the motion to do this command when this happened on the video.
That's not a glitch though, and the same can be done in Streets of Rage 1.

Barbon's blocking thing where you can instantly kill him pretty much also work with Zamza.
one of my favorite games ever. this was great, never knew these!
When doing the atomic drop with Max or the front power slam, if you have a controller with the turbo function, hold the button. Max's points will keep adding depending on how many presses were made from the initial action to the ending. It's only a small frame but the faster the button presses, the higher the score.
At the end of a round its usually impossible to move, but if you hold the B button then release it, your character will do their ending combo attack.
When you're thrown, hold UP+C to land on your feet.
With 2 players, if there's a group of bad guys in between both player 1 and 2 and they both jab the bad guys at the same time, both 1 and 2 will be frozen for an instant as well as instakill any enemy in between. Works well on level 8 boss.
If you're using Axel, when you do the Dragon Smash attack (forward + A) as he hits the ground after the jumping uppercut, have player 2 grab him. Axel won't lose any life like he normally would.
There are way more complex glitches to this great game as well. Some are hilarious.
This gives me a really good reason to play Streets of Rage again. Better get those old cartridges out. :)

There is another glitch you didnt talk about, I used to do it with my cousin. If you and other player hit an enemy from both sides at a certain time (I think kind at the same time) the enemy will be hit a lot of times very quickly and the characters will be for some time stuck in the punch animation, I used to try and do that because it drains all the energy from the enemies. Sorry for my english

One of my favorite games. I have watched many, many videos of SOR 2 and am surprised no one has ever exploited this occurrence......if you keep tapping the button, or have a turbo button, during Max's atomic drop, you get a bunch of points.

This isn't a glitch, but if thrown, press Up and Jump to land and break your fall.
I have a suggestion for a Son of a Glitch episode; The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but I absolutely loved that game. I still have it, but I don't turn on my PS2 much anymore.

most important glitch i discovered when this came out is , you can cancel an enemy throwing you right before u hit the ground, no damage taken...just roll the b and c buttons, takes practice but its eazy once u get the hang of it 👊🏼🤓
Not a glitch, but a bit of an exploit... when you perform Max's Atomic Drop, rapidly press B multiple times before he hits the ground - you'll get more points than you should (I believe it's 200 points for every time you press B).

Play a game fully but try to do glitches that will benifit you to beat the game faster (Kind of like a Speed Run, with Glitches!!!)

What about that glitch where Skate gets infinitely stuck in his special attack animation? (he's basically invincible and can damage enemies just by walking up to them) I don't know anything about how it's performed though. I was hoping it would be explained in this vid.

The thunder tackle glitch can also be performed with Blaze's kikosho, but not to the same extent of damage delivery.

Never seen a S o R glitch until now interesting
This game came with my genesis so I played it so many times I could finish the game on mania. I discovered a lot of these glitches (plus many many more) by accident and curiosity from this game. Out of boredom I started installing the cartridge with a pin or two sticking out of the socket If I did it just right it would change certain rules of the game and sometimes make it much much harder. Through many game plays and years of playing my Genesis finally broke.
I had way to much time on my hands between the ages of 7 - 10.

I think you should do an episode on Jak 2, it's got a lot of fun glitches that lets you skip large parts of the game, an infinite hover glitch and a some ways that you can get out of bounds..

not sure if this affects the original SOR2 but on the remake (by Bomber Games) on the beach level when your facing against the wrestler if you call for police just as hes doing a running close line the camera will move to the police but the wrestler will keep running as if hes chasing the camera and eventually get smacked by the police car. the glitch is the wrestler just disappears after being hit and will respawn back to the players position.
You can land after being thrown by holding up and jump mid air by the way.

You forgot Axel's grand uppercut glitch. You can do it backwards, if you hit > > + < + *B* very quickly.
It's funny as fuck if you time it on enemies that jump or charge at you, like Abedede. Hard to pull off though.
