Pacific Mwy M1 upgrade Burleigh to Palm Beach QLD MARCH 24 in 4k

The M1 Pacific Mwy between Burleigh and Tugun is being upgraded as part of the Varsity Lakes to Tugun (VL2T) upgrade. Widening the M1 to a minimum of 3 lanes in both directions. It is a $1 Billion project being delivered to upgrade 10km of the M1.
This is a 6 month update from my first video done here in August 2023.

I can't believe a 10km upgrade has been going on for over 4 years and still nowhere NEAR completion.

Poor T's & C's in the contract or if it is a DnC job the contractor has pulled the wool over the roads dept eyes

@@TBird89 Every non-toll road gets a budget. They don't take an average of 2.5kms/year to be built, or about 7 metres/day. Seven metres a day, are you kidding me??That's not a lack of funds, it's a lack of professionalism or efficiency. It's just ridiculous.

Wow. Top class video. Drove this section today. Live at Elanora. A massive project with lots of hurdles to overcome - stormwater drainage, bridges, utilities etc. The frustrating delays will be worth it when the project is complete. Keep the videos coming. Cheers.

the have spent a LONG time on the drainage between Tallebudgera Ck & the Palm Beach waterfronts. Im surprised how close they are

Thanks for four years of hell, property devs can now make it useless again in four years :) in 88 travelling to expo 88 it was non stop roadworks , nothings changed since. Move trucks to rail! Fine drivers for sitting in the right hand lane at 30kmh below the limit. Huge fines for tailgating. Its flow more than an extra lane
