    I totally agree that staying hydrated is very important when riding long distances. I will probably never be the hardcore, trying to ride hundreds of miles a day guy like you, I just don't find it enjoyable. I'm the guy that will ride for maybe 150 miles, stop for a short rest, get something to drink, maybe 20 minutes and I'm on my way for another 150 miles or less until my next rest stop. I just don't get these guys that ride for 6 hours straight or until they need gas and then right back into to, that's just pure agony, no thank you. Motorcycling to me is taking it slow and easy, enjoying the sights and stopping regularly for a relaxing, leisurely ride. Riding a motorcycle is nothing like driving a car, in a car I will drive long distances without stopping but I've got a cooler for drinks and food so no problem. I think these riders that drive 1000 or more miles a day are just trying to prove to themselves that they're tough mean strong guys and I can do it!! Ahhh...bs, you're just beating yourself up for no reason. Motorcycling should be fun and relaxing. After those two short breaks and maybe 250 miles it's time to pull into the local tavern and tip back a few, maybe lunch, a short nap and on my way. Another 200 miles and it's time to pull into the hotel, get a nice room with air conditioning, a nice hot shower and then make reservations for dinner at a nice restaurant in town. Drinks before dinner at the outdoor bar with water misters above keeping me cool in the hot weather as I put down a room temperature Guinness beer or two, then it's off to dinner, lobster if they have it, otherwise a nice ribeye steak with asparagus and hollandaise sauce. A martini with dinner is a must, Absolut with a sprinkling of vermouth, two olives and one onion. An after dinner nap is a must then off to the hotel gym, a good hour workout to pay for the day's sins, another hot shower and off to bed. Up early at 9:30 am, hot shower, a hearty breakfast with a mimosa is a must, then on the road, rinse and repeat for 10 days, 5 days out and 5 days in. After I return home I'm not fatigued or tired, just relaxed and ready to hit the work grind again.

    I have that exact phone holder. It works awesome. Holds the phone like a vice. Just took a 2000-mile trip and it worked flawlessly. I just now ordered another one from the link for my UTV. Thanks for posting the link as I had forgotten where I had purchased it at. Great information.

    For the phone holder you need one with a vibration damper. It’s a known fact that the bouncing and vibrations from a Harley can mess up an iPhone camera. Don’t know if that applies to Android phones.

    Been subscribed for a while.....I appreciate the road trips on softail and since I've started touring i had to make a decision....buy a touring bike (which will not fit in the garage nor can I afford) or take my softail and Frankenstein it! So I did the ladder.
    You and your wife were definitely the inspiration to purchase the hardbags....I also have added Cup holder, usb's, phone holders, and some other add ons for personal comfort.......
    Keep up the great work on posting your vids and hope to meet you guys out on the road sometime!

    That's cool stuff my friend. nice tips. I also got myself a 2014 FB Lo and i love the bike. To me there's no other bike that represents motorcycle better. It's raw, without much fanciness around it. Just a big nice looking old school beast. Hey, by the way, What do you recommend for iphone charger and how to connect it to the bike? There are probably several different ways you can do it, but I noticed that at the front, just below the headlight, there's a connector hanging around and nothing connected to it. It seems that i could use it, but i dont know if there's a wire harness with the right connector that i can get, to plug in there. I saw in this video that you use the battery tender connector to hook up a charger, but I heard that it can slowly drain your battery due to current leakage from the charger...Have you noticed anything?...I don't know, still trying to figure it out. Anyway, cool channel, Thanks Sir.

    Hi Papa Badger
    Your Fatboy tourer/cruiser video ticked a lot of boxes for me - brilliant!
    I have toured/camped my Fatboy all over Europe & my Heritage saddlebags + small strap on tent was sufficient
    However I am arriving in the USA May 1st 2023 bringing my own bike for up to 3 months of “lifelong (at least since I was 15!) dream-fantasy”
    Questions. Please
    I have thoroughly hunted around RUclips to try and find my wish list of campsites I.e not too big - I don’t need to be entertained - reasonably good facilities (but not averse to employing my “wild pooping” kit)
    Any help/recommendations for sites or apps (I have WikiCamps but i find it long winded research) that might cater for me would be HUGELY appreciated
    🤞

      Seats are a really tough thing to recommend as each body is built differently. I would look for a company that will let you return it if it isn't what you are looking for. Ultimate Seats in Daytona Florida does this so you may reach out to them tell em The Badger sent you.

    I ordered and received the cup holder that you linked to. Much smaller diameter than I was expecting. I like that it fits between the bars and the windshield, but what size and kind of Yeti cup did you find that fits this thing?

    • @TheBadgers
      @TheBadgers  2 года назад

      It was pretty tight when I first got it but after using it a bit, it loosened up and works great I would take the cup you want to use and push it in the holder and leave sit for a few days.
