Those big chunky fruit makes me realize how much a unique tactile experience really makes me enjoy a game. I think that pile of wooden Trix will make this a game that will draw people to the table when they see you playing it at a family get together.
I have enjoyed Juicy Fruits so much already on Tabletopia that I had to preorder it and that's before even having the wooden fruit pieces. This is game is much more enjoyable than you would think on first glance.
Merchants of Magick looks like the game of the year, folks. Im calling it now. Stellar art and game play, quick ruleset and dynamic strategies... I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON IT!!! "excuse my scribbling" - holy crap Tom...you completely missed the circles!
The oppressive nature of the pear was left out of the game intentionally after thoughtful deconstruction of the norms and belief systems embodied in a "reference pear".
"Richer, more bananary desires" I don't know why, but this is the funniest line I've heard all week. I do want to want to help this fictional man with his bananary desires, which is why (among other reasons) I'm keeping my eyes open for Juicy Fruits.
A few months ago I met the creator of Merchants of Magic at a local game night and won a free copy of the game from a drawing. Definitely a pretty good game. The designer was very nice, and I'd recommend it as a pretty easy, breezy roll and write game, though it takes a moment to comprehend the fact that half of your sheet is looking for numbers ABOVE a certain value, and the other half is looking for numbers BELOW a value.
Annnnd... if you back the Kickstarter of Long Shot, you get an extra 4 sets of horses for more variety. They’ve reached all stretch goals to accomplish this.
quinns explaining the horse derby game all excited gave me a glimpse at how others must feel when I talk about board games: confused and not really seeing where the fun is
Seriously, it's just re-branded Snake Oil, made to look less like a kid's game. Which is a pity, because Snake Oil is a great party game, probably the best of the Apples-to-Apples, CAH genre, and perfectly good for adults.
They don't review kickstarter games because they've already come out and usually can't be bought except through resellers. These are previews, so the kickstarters are still live and people can still back them.
@@botbtquarrel4072 Actually it's the other way around. Given that most of the kickstarter games that don't get a "retail version" can be bought directly from the publisher (site), SUSD have reviewed several titles that went successfully through the crowfunding platform (KDM, Etherfields, Eclipse Second Dawn, Nemesis, to name a few). I thought they purposely didn't preview (as you cannot properly review a game during a kickstarter campaign, usually) as a policy. Maybe that changed (not a bad thing), I was just wondering about it.
@@rankinsean That I would have guessed. I just remembered a quote on the recent Townsfolk Tussle campaign, "game looks gorgeous, but I'm afraid you are right - we don't do kickstarter previews". I immagine they would have paid too. Anyway, just my curiosity, not a big deal.
Is it just me or do Long Shot and Merchants of Magick just look like roll-and-write versions of Camel Up and Bargain Quest? I'll pass on those. Juicy Fruits looks great though, that sliding mechanic is super interesting.
It is, I've had a blast playing Juicy Fruits with a friend on Tabletopia. I tend to like more mid-weight to complex games, so when I can find a light game (which more people will usually play) that scratches the strategizing itch, it's a win for me. Pre-ordered! Kohaku & Fistful of Meeples are other games that have fit that category for me too.
What's the point of promoting a game like Long Shot when you can only preorder copies that aren't going to ship until February of 2022? The game looks great and all, but that's a long while to wait and frankly how many are just going to forget it even exists if we don't jump on it now?
Be careful of the use of the phrase "no one", that is an all-encompassing term. There are very, very few things that will ever apply to "everyone/everybody" or "no one/nobody". Personally, I agree with you, but that's exactly the point, it's a personal preference. Not everybody's brains are alike, as others have commented, their brains handle it just fine. For those of us whose neurons feel bombarded, there is that wonderful thing called a pause button. Can watch one segment, and come back and watch another later.
Sad that SUSD only cares about depiction of serious topics like colonialism and slavery but completely disregard depictions of animal abuse as happy hour. Quite the hypocrisy.

How do ya'll expect me to get any work done when you release so many beautiful previews all at once?! Seriously tho, keep up the great content guys!
i guess it's pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream newly released series online?
@Cairo Alessandro Flixportal :D
@Colson Jadiel Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it!!
@Cairo Alessandro Glad I could help =)

Juicy Fruits looks great, though it's missing pears.
I would agree, the issue is a-pear-ant.
The oppressive nature of the pear was left out of the game intentionally after thoughtful deconstruction of the norms and belief systems embodied in a "reference pear".
Been watching this channel for ages, don't really own many board games, just a great chill channel to watch. But DAMMM you sold me on Long Shot!
Go back it now! Jon Gets Games and Before You Play both put out great playthroughs so you can see it in action!

I have the same "TV static" jumper as Quinns. Looks like I'm cosplay in as a board game reviewer next Halloween.
Juicy Fruits caught my eye. As well as anchorman, you need something light and silly because some folk have low rules tolerances.
20:51 "Hello" 😀
Quinns desperately wants to eat the juicy fruits.
shout out to the giant sports direct mug, so many happy memories

16th to 18th of October? Is it Oct already?
You get a like for the bonus cat cameo.
Anchorman is Mad Libs with the creativity of providing your own answers removed.
Put that banana away Quins, this is a family show! XD
Very excited to get my hands on juicy fruits. That one look like a super fun family game
Juicy Fruits looks really good!
That battlebears game... anyone getting flashbacks to the grim adventures of billy and mandy?
1 little 2 little 3 headless huggy bears....
Long Shot looks like a sure winner!
"Programming is just absolute chaos. It's madness, it's carnage"
As a professional programmer. I agree with this statement.
Cactus Town looks so cute!!!
Yo Juicy Fruits looks interesting
Also I might just be dead inside cus I didn't even smile for the anchorman bit lol
I love that wooden fruit, not gonna lie.
Stop the train looks very promising to me.
Man, those wooden fruit look delicious.
those fruit tokens looks so fun
The banana gag 🤣
full send right there

Oof i just noticed that King Gedorah shirt! RIP
"Sells Outs" seems to play a lot like "Snake Oil" but a bit more random.
Seriously, it's just re-branded Snake Oil, made to look less like a kid's game. Which is a pity, because Snake Oil is a great party game, probably the best of the Apples-to-Apples, CAH genre, and perfectly good for adults.
I don't think the Merchants of Magick buy link is right - can't find it on that website
It's not listed on their store yet. They're doing preorders through Gamefound: gamefound.com/projects/mike/set-a-watch-swords-of-the-coin#/
Mangosteens in Asia are soooooooo good. Mangosteens that I have bought in US grocery stores have never been good ☹️
Hmmmm... Must invent game that incorporates house cat...
Also, bring back the reference pear
I think SPORTS DIRECT MUG technically beat Quinns at Tumble Tumble.
Sell Outs seems like the same game as Snake Oil, though I think the latter's out of print
The sellouts preview was so short I literally rewound to see if I missed something 😆
I was hoping they would have shown some card/gameplay examples! Might have to go for the longer video next time
I'd be slightly peeved as the devs considering the party game before it got 4 minutes to Sellouts' 1
Such a shame,
Anchorman The Game,
$60 delivery,
Ouch. Hard to justify but would love to own this game.
What is the point of a reference pear if you don’t use it to show us how small the box is?
About Long Shot: The Dice Game, I thought you didn't cover kickstarter games, is that changed? Anyway, good job as always!
It's paid promotion. Presumably this is preview coverage for those companies that paid to be sponsors of SHUX

What a shame that he tried to show us how small the box was by putting it in his pocket. The days of the scale pear are over. For shame.
Cat break! :D
What's up with the Sports Direct thing?
Wait, is the Sell Outs cover a subtle dig at Trumps ridiculously long red ties?
❤️
A standard non-reference banana I see.
Should we be worried for Tom that he thinks it's October? Has he completely lost himself to pandemic dementia?

Longshot looks cool but horse racing is so cringe. Really abusive stuff goes down in that industry.
Wait until you hear about war games 😬

Please don’t throw so much videos simultaneously. No one will watch all of them if they see them all at once. It overflows the brain
I will. I have four monitors, a tablet, my phone and my wife’s. I played all the videos simultaneously bc I have a big brain and can handle it
I simply upload them all simultaneously, matrix style, right into the old brain goop. Easy.
Doesn't overflow my brain. I watch at 2x speed, can't you watch them all at 2x speed? I can
