I wholeheartedly agree with this accept for the fact his channel is built on mapping, he may loose subs and money because of a large change in content
actually, no one knew there was oil in Norway at the time, the main reason was to secure the ore shipped from Sweden, and later to study the properties of heavy water(a main component to make Plutonium)

Adizz, if you don't want to map, don't. If you loose viewers, that's fine. You'll find and make a new community around your new content. I'm sure a lot of us will stick around. What you want to do with your channel is the most important. Not anylitics.
I think making money and getting new subscribers is more of a better decision for the future as he will gain more viewers for those things even if he makes less mapping videos

Video idea!: what if war broke out between NATO and the Warsaw pact? This scenario involves the tanks firing at each other during the incident at checkpoint charlie instead of backing away.

i have to say this. i can feel from the way you're talking that you lost your passion of doing mapping videos, i get you
“I’ve never done alt history” me “what about USA empire”
Some details that came up from what I remembered:
1. Japan invaded India and created a puppet state called "Azad Hind" (Free India), but it only controlled the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and parts of the eastern area in India.
2. Iraq and Iran (I think) were in the axis, but only for a short time and were invaded by Britain and the USSR
3. There was a non-aggression pact between Japan and the USSR, but we can just say that it'll be broken in such a scenario as here
4. Japan already had American Territory at the first years of WW2 (1939-1940/1941) occupied, like Guam, Philippines and some islands in Alaska (Attu & Kiska)

Just for your information, the reason NI isn't part of Ireland is because the NI people don't want it. In the peace treaty in 1921 the borders were drawn, between the loyalists and republican parts of Ireland. Even after the peace deal, republican's, who wanted full independence for Ireland were brutally killed in NI. In the peace deal it was said that there was allowed to be a vote if the people in NI wanted to be part of the republic, but if it wasn't passed there wouldn't be allowed be a vote for around 15-20 years. Hope this helps, if you even see it.

There are big details that you forgot and its yugoslavia, some parts were taken by italians most of serbia was taken by getmans and upper half of serbia was under Croatian axis control and Croatia had Bosnia and its yugoslavian parts btw part of Romania was talen by Soviets and Germany tried inviting Turkey to join axis before they started losing to Soviets
