The second you said 36V, I was going to click away, but stayed instead, and I have to admit that it's a nice exercise bike in both looks and performance.

Me too, but it was the 250w motor that killed it for me. I agree, great bike if you just want help to bike, but not great for speed, or offroad capabilities.

Actually, M275 are low end brakes, weak components, ordinary tires, heavy metal rack and fenders, cheap seat, junker stem, head set, & bar, dime store grips, peddles that sell for $4.99, weak capacity battery, normal weight which is 55 -65 pounds, low end Bafang motor which is puny but reliable, low, low-low end front fork, hubs, spokes, rims??? WTF. Good review as he always does.

He basically ignores mid drive bikes, so a pretty pathetic specced mid drive like this seems super impressive.

Motor cut off at 20 even with pedaling is a total dealbreaker. This comes up too short imo. Excellent review as always though.

Ha...the display has "Trees Saved" and "CO2 Avoided". I might miss a throttle, especially when starting on a hill, but you did a good test on that. 👍🏼 Amazing light weight. 29" tires might be a bit too big. 27.5 has been perfect, but never really tried 29z. With a suntour suspension seat post, and some more aggressive tires, this thing could compete with my friend's $5K Trek. Pretty good range. Your review was great. My cheap KBO Breeze is hard to beat for 1/2 the price of this one. Something to consider, tho, when I need a replacement.

I have the same bike :D The situation you discribed at the stop sign (motor fighting back) I tend to cut of the battery sometimes. At least for me. I solve it by reseting the battery with the button on it (next to the light)
Also I had to change the handlebar because it was too far out for me aswell

This is the direction that I was hoping a lot of companies would take in 2024. More integration, better components, i.e. the brakes. Ground down welds on the frame. Lighter weight. Derailers with a clutch in them. All these things that could be upgraded on what you typically get with an E bike. I really thought because the market has kind of stabilized because most people that are into the ebiking have already gotten a bike, that this would be a logical step forward. I believe I was wrong though. I think most companies are looking for a brand new market. Hence why they are now coming out with the all-wheel-drive’s, three wheelers, more scooter, style, faster, etc. That would be looking to bring new people into the market instead of catering to the people already in it. Not a bad strategy. But I wouldn’t mind some catering. Lol.

Excellent review as usual, CC. Tbh, the price sounds very high for a Class 1 bike.
I paid $2150 for an Aventone Aventure 2, including a dealer fee to assemble the bike, that I upgraded to Class 3 and got 44 miles on the first battery charge when I got it home, with me constantly in PA5 trying to see how fast it would go, and using its throttle on long hills. My ride quality I'm sure with fat tires is better than this bike as tested with narrower tires.
IDK if Tenways are sold through dealers, but my Aventure is, and that's going to be much easier to get warranty work done if needed, and any repairs done beyond the warranty.

Thats a typical european bicycle. I wrote a lote of times, that I can’t understand, why all the fatbikes come with cheap shit components instead of a nice gearing etc. Now you feel it yourself. A derailure like the Deore with a good amount of preload is just so much more fun to use.
The Bafang with it’s 80Nm has a nice characteristic. It feels very smooth but powerful. There are way more capable 250W motors out there. The most agressive is the Bosch CX Gen 4 with 85Nm, but it is very noisy. I like the Brose S with it’s 90Nm. This motor feels like you are Superman. Very natural but still quite. The Bosch is like a kicking motorbike, very precise especially when going up the steepest trails. It notices every little rock and gives you the perfect amount of power. The Bafang is more like riding a wave, it is getting stronger and stronger very smoothly, but the motor doesn’t like high cadences.
Now the thing, you see that nice components doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. All these fatbikes could be so much better, without a way higher price. Take a nice fork, a Dore, some good brakes and a typical 750W Bafang and that bike wouldn’t cost more money. The motor is still way cheaper as the middrive and for the difference you get the bigger battery for the hubdrive.

When u hit that max speed, can you cruise at max with the motor assisting? Or does it cut out immidiatly and you constantly feel it going on/off when you are around max speed?

Hey can you recommend a way i can feel more resistance when pedaling a bike at speeds above 20 mph besides adding a bigger chain ring since i did that but its not enough

    • @leetjohnson

The only thing you can really do beyond that is to get a smaller rear gear/cassette.

@@user-dn6np4ec9x but yes, 10 or 11 with a 54 or 56 in front should work on even 48 to 60volt systems with around 2000watt peak motor power. What bike do you have?

I noticed that you are riding the bike with your seat dropped way lower than normal. Is there a reason that you ride this way? For a 6' guy, your optimal seat height would be quite a bit higher; putting your pedal stroke with only a slight bend at the knee. Thanks for the video! I like this bike a lot.

No brakes and cut off is extremely dangerous, if you get any short in your pedal assist sensor/plug/controller, you will risk an accident, trust me, I tried.

Hey Mr. CitizenCycle, I've been watching your RUclips channel for about 2 years now and I'd seen you review at least 30 ebikes. Have you ever considered donating a ebike or 2 or 3 to the less fortunate? Just say'n
Also, I really think this AGO ebike is way overpriced and it can't compete with the Wired Freedom. Which has the same price point.

You have to realize it’s sold around the world and in most country’s class one is all that is legal until you need to classify it as a moped. It’s a steal at that price compared to the 7k counterparts.
