- This took a lot of time to put together, so I really hope you guys enjoy it! I'm hoping this will help people who may not know much about VOCALOID learn a little bit more and discover some voices they've not heard before. I had a few people help me out with rendering the V6 voices so thank you so so much, I really couldn't have done this without you. ♡
I was very inspired by a couple of videos that I'll link below. They introduced me (and a lot of others) to many vocal synths and really helped people get into the fandom. I highly recommend checking them out if you've not already! I've wanted an updated equivalent to the VOCALOID one for a while now so I thought I'd do it myself.

About the Video:
- Every VOCALOID appears in order of their initial release dates relevant to the engine they belong to. This means that for example Yuezheng Ling comes before CYBER DIVA because although she was released months after, she was still the last VOCALOID3 to be released.
- Since this video is exclusively about VOCALOID, any VOCALOIDs that have received updates on other synthesisers (SynthV, CeVIO, Maghni AI, etc.) will not be counted. The dates listed under "updated" only include VOCALOID updates.
- I used each VOCALOIDs' first voicebank where I could (for example Rin/Len ACT1) with the exception of unity-chan!, AZUKI, and MATCHA's VOCALOID2 voicebanks as they are ported voicebanks from external programs.
- Akikoloid-chan and Anri Rune never had official public releases, meaning I resorted to using fanmade voicebanks. Akikoloid's is made by H5x2/Fuyo using the leaked V3 devkit. Anri Rune's voice was made using RVC AI technology from the acapella for 'Hallelujah Super Idol' by Kikuo. I sadly couldn't find the person who trained Rune's RVC voice so if anyone knows please let me know and I'll update the description!
- Akikoloid-chan and Anri Rune are NOT in order of release date. Because they never received commercial releases, their release dates are simply their reveal/debut dates. They occupy the extra spots on the medley.
- During the finale, I used MEIKO_V3_Dark, KAITO_V3_Whisper, Miku_V4x_Solid, Rin/Len_V4x_Power, and Luka_V4x_Hard.
- My video editing software kept crashing trying to render this so I apologise for the poor video quality, I'm just glad I managed to get it to render.

*corrections to some of the errors in my video*
- aoki lapis did not receive an update - the date was accidentally copied from ia's entry
- yanhe is a chinese vocaloid not a japanese vocaloid
- technically every v6 vocaloid is capable of singing in every language through the crosslang feature of the v6 editor, however the languages listed in the video are their native languages and recommended languages
- the v6 standard vocals aren't free with v6 but come with a purchase of the editor as a standalone purchase, they don't come with any other vocaloid6 starter packs such as the megpoid ai starter pack for example as they have a separate product key to the editor itself

It's crazy how it goes from the Meikas -> Michelle... That's a whole three years without a Vocaloid!! I rememeber when Meika and Mikoto came out, and everyone was like "EVERYONE WOW A NEW VOCALOID AFTER ALL THIS TIME!!!" Little did we know

I still can't believe kemonone got an official voicebank for vocaloid 6.
this is criminally underrated.
couple of small errors i noticed:
- YANHE's language is incorrectly listed as Japanese instead of Chinese.
- While Maika's script is intended to be applicable for a multitude of languages, she is officially only a Spanish voicebank.
- January is incorrectly spelled as "Jannuary" in Macne Nana's entry.
otherwise i didn't notice anything!! very well-made video overall. i loved how well you used the english voicebanks in japanese

Here’s a tip if you search up vocaloid source and then when you get there press the 3 lines on the top left corner you can find the discontinued voice banks archive on there if you look long enough in the right language section and yes they are safe to download too

@@hatsunemikusleftnostril i did find it kinda weird how she's only officially listed as spanish when she was literally made to be multilingual, i guess it'd be a lot to list all the languages she's capable at though
i think there was another issue with an accidental double n in "yuzheng ling" ---> "yuzhenng ling" but i don't think it really matters much, its not an error with information just with spelling so i dont care at all (i just tend to notice spelling errors easily and since we're bringing it up)
amazing medley and great choice of songs. ngl i got a little teary eyed at the end, i love vocaloid so much... thanks for all your hard work, this couldnt have been easy to make!!

There are several databases with incorrect or incomplete languages listed, and I noticed at least one voice listed as having an update when they don't have one, but regardless, it was really fun to see all of the publicly available vocaloid databases in the order they released. I also liked the crypton v3/v4x chorus to close out the video.
@@radiatamusic would you mind telling me which vocaloids had incorrect info?
@@sleepywednesday yanhe's language is listed as Japanese instead of Mandarin Chinese, although I do see that someone already mentioned that. Aoki lapis is listed as having an update, however her V3 is still her most up-to-date singing database (a text to speech was released for her in 2022 but it can't be used for singing) so she should be listed as purchasable. Lastly, every single V6 database is listed as single language even though all V6 databases have support for japanese, english, and Mandarin chinese.
Edit: I do see that someone mentioned not all of the languages you listed for Maika are officially supported, but I also don't think that information is incorrect because voctrolabs themselves have demos for her in each of those languages. Most of these demos are even viewable on her official Vocaloid shop page, so they clearly intend for you to use her in those languages regardless.
Edit2: I do also want to say that none of these things detract from how well you assembled this, it's a fantastic experience to watch and you did a fantastic job.
@@radiatamusic ah yes the lapis update date was a typo as i'd copied the text box from ia's entry, and i intentionally left out the list of languages for the v6 voices as crosslang is a feature of the editor rather than the voicebank itself. it's also not really an exhausted list as we will likely get new voicebanks in different languages but thank you for the comment i do appreciate it

she's discontinued as a vocaloid as the dates listed in the video are specific to vocaloid updates only, not updates on other engines

this is such an interesting concept but the song choice is really distracting and doesn't let the actual voices shine through. especially for the english voices which weren't made to sing in japanese. i think separate short song clips would've worked better.
all the vocaloids have official demo songs that you can listen to if you don't like my medley
