- Channel One Mk3 - The perfect front-end for the modern producer.
For over 20 years, Channel One has been a synonym for a high-quality and extremely musical recording and mixing channel strip.
In the newest Mk3 version, this classic has been thoroughly revised and, in addition to a higher internal audio voltage (now +/-18 V) for even better, more detailed sound, a further improved preamplifier section, an integrated Transient Designer, a Tube Saturation stage and a Mic A/B comparison option for two microphones and other great features that raise the modern recording and mixing studio to a new level of quality. With de-esser, compressor and equalizer, all the important tools of a real channel strip are still on board. Whether it’s a microphone, line, or instrument signal, the Channel One Mk3 makes any source sound like a professionally recorded signal. The new design of the SPL Studio Series perfectly highlights the sonic qualities of this 3rd generation Channel One.

You guys knocked it out of the park with this one.
What an excellent product overview! Now definitely on my wanted list.
Thank you! That's awesome 👍
This is a work of art, looking forward to purchasing one of these, well done.
Thank you very much!
What! Yes, please I'll take it.
Stunning work guys! :)
Thanks a lot!
Great Video, This will be in my rack any moment.
That's awesome 👍
I do a LOT of professional voice work and after having purchased a channel strip, I came across the Channel One and Frontliner. (Not as popular in the States as it should be and off my radar at the time!) I spoke with a Euro friend and he couldn't stop singing praises about SPL overall. This year I'll be upgrading to a new channel strip and my first test, (strictly for using with my spoken voice only) will be this marvelous device in the premium version with Lundhall transformers. I will be absolutely shocked if I don't love it having read tons of info now about SPL products. I LOVE the look, layouts and technology being used! Can't wait to try it out! THANKS for a great explanation of all the features. Your humble, down to earth style of delivery speaks volumes about SPL. Your "English" is great too! '-) Super job SPL!
Thank you very much for the feedback! We would be interested to hear your opinion on the devices once you start working with them. Keep us updated!

Hey, did you get time with this new strip? Very curious how it compares to the Frontliner *specifically* for voiceover.
@@zeitakulobusta9708 Sorry no, not yet. I was all set to order the "premium" version but something came up on another front where fast cash was needed. It's on my list however and once procured, I'll check back to this vid and leave my overall thoughts.
Very nice! 😎
Thanks a lot!
I've been hunting for something to replace my Avalon 737. I always run a 416 and a U67 when I'm recording or sending Voice Over via Source Connect and having the 2 mic input to switch is really an amazing feature that I'm surprised no one thought of before. Being able to switch between mics for different read styles (hard sell or imaging, then to calm narration) back to back in sessions is a really useful feature. The Air band is a must have as well. I need to get my hands on one now.
👍
Take my money
Okay 😉
😎👍
No audio?? :(((
Hi! More Video content (including audio examples) about the SPL Channel One Mk3 is coming soon!
hi spl. i have a question. i am interested in buying the channel one mk3 and would like to know if i should use it with a Neumann TLM 49 Condenser Microphone or would i be better off using it with a Neumann U 87 Ai? which mic would i be better off using the channel one mk3 with?
Both are great microphones with different sound characteristics. The Channel One Mk3 can definitely bring the best of the best out of both.
We would recommend to test them both and see which one you like better.
BTW: Channel One Mk3 offers two microphone inputs on the rear panel - Mic A and Mic B. Two microphones can be connected. This enormously simplifies the workflow. Thus, when comparing or changing microphones, it is no longer necessary to unplug them. Regards!
