@@overcomingsins6334 no I don't agree with all of that, while I do agree that no child is intitled to their parent's money, every child is intitled to their parent's love period! And while he did lie to his father, his dad was slim and a misogynistic jerk, there are also people who simply cannot lose weight at all no matter what they do. However as the inheritence laws stand, Sam was entitled to the sword after a fashion, and there is also the issue that not all people are able to become a warrior at all, and while we are on the subject of ways out, Sam originally wanted to and did study, but his father was against him being so studious. Sam was originally willing to step aside and become a Maester, but his father couldn't handle the idea of a member of his family becoming 'a slave' as he called it. There is more than one way to be a man, and his father was too blinded by pride to see any other option, and again threatened to kill him. (By the way I do enjoy debate, so if you have a rebuttal please post back and we can continue.)
And while yes he did take his sister's clothes without asking, judging by how he had described his relationship with his mother and sisters she probably would not have minded, and likely wouldn't have reported them missing except to their mom, accepting that her brother had needed them for something if they pieced that much together.

I would love to see Widow’s Wail melted back down and perhaps forged into something new for Sansa. Perhaps not a sword, but something more like a glaive, or a Japanese naginata; something that would make sense for a noblewoman of her stature to use, more than a traditional sword, as it’s designed to allow a smaller fighter to take on someone much larger than themselves. And as a result, has a much more “feminine” feel to it.
I think fashioning Widow’s Wail, which was made from Ice, into a woman’s glaive would be perfect for the Queen of the North. A graceful, feminine, but still very lethal weapon that carries the memory of the Stark ancestors with it.
