For anyone wondering what guitar John is using; it is the legendary Rick Turner Model 1 guitar customly made and produced exclusively for legendary guitarist Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac in 1979. Lindsey Buckingham has used this guitar for about 32 years and stated it is one of the best instruments he ever played ! Before 1979, Lindsey used a Custom Gibson Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster.

It upsets me that he's such a funny guy and it seems to go over the audience's head all the time. His intro was funny and nobody was laughing.

@kerranz Wow, Fantastic story man! I have been lucky to see Lindsey up close twice. Those Henman's are quite pricey, probably sound amazing though!
@Neil4Speed I got to watch Lindsay play from about six feet away at Fleetwood Mac's Rumours tour back in 76 or so, had no idea he was a 'Frail'er, but it does make a note sting. I have also communicated with Rick Turner about the guitars he's making for Henman these days...(I design electrics as well). He's so knowledgeable it's scary.

@kerranz Your memory serves you correct! I have the same guitar, wonderful instrument! John Mayer is truly talented great tune. I bought the guitar more based on Lindsey Buckingham who's style is really unqiue!

@tboladave Looks like a Rick Turner 'One', I believe Lindsey Buckingham plays this model...if memory serves , the pickup can rotate along the flat plane of the gtr's face. It sure sounds like one.

There are so many good players like John. For example: John Frusciante, Joe Bonamassa, Philip Sayce ( this guy is AWESOME! ), Jack White etc etc
its surprising how taylor swift doesnt have a huge part in the song but without her it sounds quite different

its a shame that john had to get a cold right before this concert so if you were wondering why it sounds less than awesome thats why. he still did it like a champ.
