      @@mohammadkamran5862 nowadays cars are economical made, and many parts they use are made by same manufacturers (valeo, bosch, denso, delphi, trw, brembo, and so on).
      That being said, i would choose a zero miles Elantra any time and not an used car. Except theta 2 engines, Hyundai engines are pretty reliable. In Europe these cars work fine. I'm member of several Hyundai facebook groups and most of the cars from there have from 100k to 2-300k kms and they still work well.
      Hyundai problems are with Theta 2 engines, but in Europe they don't sell them, here they mostly sell the 1.6 and 2.0 diesels and the 1.6mpi and 1.6gdi and t-gdi and they seem to be reliable.

      @@startube2788 thats good that you’ve had good experiences with Hyundais. Some of the parts may be made by the same manufacturers but the quality control of every company comes down to them.
      There’s no way we can say a BMW will come close to Toyota reliability just because they might share some parts made by Bosch.
      For example i feel more confident in my 800$ Honda Accord with 300000KM that nothing will happen to the car, than my 12000$ VW Golf at only 130000KM. I know the accord will keep running with just oil changes.

    • @lamboman7
      @lamboman7 3 года назад +5

      @@gman1080 so far I’m still in love with it. My only regret is that I didn’t get one with a manual transmission. The paddle shifters don’t let you redline which is annoying and the computer will override inputs if you’re at too low/high of an rpm. Thought i would go for automatic for the higher resale value but a manual would have been more fun. I’ve put 2600 miles on it so far in about 2 months (a lot, I know. Made a few road trips) and I haven’t experienced any sort of problems or anything. One thing I will say is that for some reason when you’re accelerating hard from a stop the front wheels will “skip” a little when you shift into 2nd which is a little weird but not too big of a deal. It’s FWD so kind of expected. It truly is a great daily driver and so much fun on the roads. When you text drive one pay attention to the brakes. It has EXCELLENT brakes. The handling is still super smooth as well. I just wish I could make it even quicker! Haha

I still get people who are shocked when I am in 3rd gear at 3000 rpms and then punch it. Mind you, I took a Veloster N for a test drive recently and wow that car has some serious punch and not even in N mode. N mode was a riot.

I bought that Elantra with 63,000 miles on it and many years later I gave it to my brother with 170 plus thousand miles on it. Only routine maintenance is all I ever had to get done to that car. It was so hard giving that car to my brother, when something is so reliable for you, you just want to be loyal. So i bought my first new Hyundai in 2007 and been with them ever since.

I drive a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta SEL TDI & have been running snow/winter weather tires on this car & cars before it since 2011. Yes, we don't get much snow, but when we do, it throws everything into a tizzy. I, personally, use Bridgestone Blizzak WS-90 on 16 inch steel wheels & mount them on my car when it is 40F (4C) or colder, in my garage. The enhanced safety, traction, stability, & peace of mind are well worth it. Just my two cents. Excellent review as always, gentlemen...
