~0:25:30 I respect that this is a lore/story focused playthrough, but still decided to comment on the missions here: I always cheese Gayla Hatchery by initially avoiding the NPC/turtles and clear all of the spawned enemies going counterclockwise though the map. Returning to the NPC/turtles, take just one bundle (playing solo), dropping among the baby turtles at each waypoint to clear the now far fewer enemies until the Afflicted arrive at the end. The Eternal Grove is brutal, even with heroes. The trick here (with heroes) is to flag a Soul Twisting Ritualist near the middle tree (microing spirits as needed). I also flag a minion master at each entrance. Grab the Juggernauts and stay inside healing the Tree Singers and killing the Luxon waves until the last Siege Turtle appears. Finally run out and kill that last Siege Turtle, after which all of the Luxon forces become allies and will thin out some of the Afflicted. With no heroes, one would have to follow the same strategy but with no party members flagged.
@@bruhatthedesk5118 During the Eternal Grove mission? I suspect many of the Factions missions were designed with the assumption of an all-human team. Anyway, even in normal mode, it's hard to get the full bonus awards with heroes. Also use a heavy hex strategy.
~1:29:48 I find missions like Unwaking Waters poor game design. Melee professions are rather useless for the majority, which shouldn't happen unless that are special and effective skills for that profession for those situations. Same problem occurs when a carried bundle is required.
At least in hindsight, the storyline of requiring Kurz and Lux support is rather weak a) There were already enough introduced henchmen for an effective 16 party mission (Vizunah Sqaure). b) Neither of the two relics were really needed to handle Shiro in the Sunjiang District mission from a gameplay perspective. The story should be advising the player to ally with one side for more experience, more henchmen allies, and a path to the Harvest Temple.
The story on Shing Jea is pretty strong, and the world building in Kaineng City is top tier! Visually the Kurzick and Luxon areas are stunning, but narratively they leave something to be desired.

I lost my survivor and 50% of tier 2 there last week. Almost uninstalled completely

The mystery of Mhenlo's popularity, will it ever be revealed, who knows. HA, knew you needed the bow back.
A bow may be employed for a certain final boss. Going toe to toe with him never goes well!

The lack of engagement for melee is a real bummer.
