Terry Kath on guitar. One of the best guitar players of all time. I highly recommend Chicago at Tanglewood. 25 or 6 to 4 / Make Me Smile / It Better End Soon / all great performances when the guys were very young. But Terry's guitar solos will blow your mind!

I love all the lives they did. The extended versions, and live concerts. Quality is of the times but it gives a eye opening into WHO they really are instead of edited studio. I think they are the best record.

I love Chicago, but what an honor. i can just see it in their eyes. They're so proud to be the backing band for the man himself. you can see it in their eyes.

This is from the TV special Chicago in the Rockies, filmed at Caribou Ranch in 1973. Al Green was the guest star. James Guercio, Chicago's producer, bought the ranch and converted the barn into a recording studio. Chicago recorded 5 albums there. Elton John, Carole King, Tom Petty, and many other artists recorded there.

The videos from the ranch are not the best age wise, but it's very important for posterity of Al's music. Loved watching their videos from the studio. Ann Murray, Charlie Rich, so many great acts. Beautiful atmosphere for them and their family.

Yeah the smiles tell the story: holy shit we’re backing AL GREEN!!! He’s like the chill Otis Redding: puts it all into his singing, and loves to improvise and play around with the vocal.

Oh, yeah...this looks like a TV special from back in the '70's called "Meanwhile Back at the Ranch". It was recorded in the studio at Caribou Ranch, owned by Chicago's producer. In addition to the recording studio, there were cabins, dinning facilities, horse stables and more. The producer wanted to have a beautiful place in Colorado where the guys could relax and create great music away from the distractions in the city. I think they recorded 2 or 3 albums there.
Elton John's album "Caribou" was also recorded there.

In that time period, who was better vocally than Al Green? Sam Cooke was gone at this point. Cooke would have been in the conversation. As good as others were in this time. (Way better that today) So to answer my question, nobody.
