Everything looks beautiful, I love your makeover. I love to take old pieces and bring life back into them. I am in the process of transforming my sons dresser and my daughter's side tables. Her tables are from a 20s vanity. It had no mirror when we purchased it (30 bucks). So we took it apart and stripped everything down and then white waxed them (perfection), they matched her boho theme wonderfully. My sons dresser is still in the process. Looks great! I recently had my husband help me pick up a nice old hutch from habitat for humanity and they only charged $40!! I did the exact same thing you did, I left the base part brown and chalk painted the rest and distressed it! It was super fun and super easy.... however my brown part wasn’t in great shape so I sanded it down to the raw wood and re-stained it to match my butcher block countertops (my husband recently installed) and my dinner table wood color! So glad I did! It looks amazing like yours!! I turned mine into my coffee bar! I love it! You will enjoy your for years to come! Have a nice day.

I did a very similar project in March 2020 - took advantage of the Pandemic Stay at Home isolation - however I used regular paint, Benjamin Moore in bone white, and it took me 3 weeks and 3-4 coats (over country red painted in the early 80's) of paint! I only wish I had seen your video 4 years ago! P.S. These hutches are readily available often at Habitat for Humanity. I wish more people would see their value - with a little TLC they become a wonderful treasure and provide much needed storage in a dining area. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Sweet Amy - What a great job on the hutch. I loved you leaving the top the original finish. You are so talented and I truly believe God put you in my life at this time. Your verses have fed my faith. I loved Romans 15:13 that you had a few weeks ago and am claiming that one every day. I have had a few times of anxiety as I wait on the Lord and the verses you have shared have brought me peace and joy. I loved this one today too. I love praying God’s word back to Him. I have continued to pray for your mom. I got my 2nd vaccine and have not had any problems. I have continued to have the eye problems and will see a Neurologist on 3/31 and also am being set up with a neurological ophthalmologist. There is doubt about my Bell’s palsy diagnosis. I finally asked the eye doctor what he was concerned about and he said he wanted to make sure there is not a mass of some sort leaning on nerves that causes one eye to barely open and one to be more widely open that it should be. I am sure that when you stand before the Throne you will see how you helped me. Love in Christ, my little sister.

Hi Bernardina!! In regards to your hutch, you could really do both. If you like brush marks and texture I’d go with chalk paint. If you like a more clean classic finish I’d choose regular paint. I hope that helps!! Thanks for watching!!!

Hi Sweet Amy - What a great job on the hutch. I loved you leaving the top the original finish. You are so talented and I truly believe God put you in my life at this time. Your verses have fed my faith. I loved Romans 15:13 that you had a few weeks ago and am claiming that one every day. I have had a few times of anxiety as I wait on the Lord and the verses you have shared have brought me peace and joy. I loved this one today too. I love praying God’s word back to Him. I have continued to pray for your mom. I got my 2nd vaccine and have not had any problems. I have continued to have the eye problems and will see a Neurologist on 3/31 and also am being set up with a neurological ophthalmologist. There is doubt about my Bell’s palsy diagnosis. I finally asked the eye doctor what he was concerned about and he said he wanted to make sure there is not a mass of some sort leaning on nerves that causes one eye to barely open and one to be more widely open that it should be. I am sure that when you stand before the Throne you will see how you helped me. Love in Christ, my little sister.

I think the hutch you re-did is beautiful. I notice that you change your decorations around in your home i.e. round white mirror. I dont do that so maybe that is something I should think about.

I need an advice from you, I have an old dark oak buffet that I want to upgrade it., I'm using it as a Coffee Station. What color you recommend me? Hi Bernardina!! In regards to your hutch, you could really do both. If you like brush marks and texture I’d go with chalk paint. If you like a more clean classic finish I’d choose regular paint. I hope that helps!! Thanks for watching!!!
