Can I use ready made custard can or packet available in UK? I like your way of layering and using whipping cream. I put sponges then fruits then liquid jelly mixture and when jelly sets then pour custard but I'll try your method using fresh fruits and whipping cream and decorations on the top .

People usually just chop them up and toss them on/in, and as I'm not a big fan of pistachios (or really any nuts in my desserts) getting huge chunks could ruin it for me, while the powder might just be the right amount to where it doesn't.
