I have a Mevo+ and am currently looking at swapping it out for the SkyTrak+. The main reason being is just I find the set up of the Mevo+ is very specific and if, like me, you don't have a permanent area to leave it all out it's just a massive hassle. I was put off the original SkyTrak as it wasn't meant to be much good outdoors but those issues seem to have been resolved on the + so will almost certainly be making the switch. BTW, I find putting on the Mevo+ incredibly hit or miss as well.
Totally get those issues! My least favorite aspect of the Mevo Plus is the setup process, which depending on where you're setting it up, can be relatively painless to quite frustrating. And putting on ANY launch monitor (except maybe the Golfzon Wave) is not going to be great. I wouldnt expect it to be much better on the SkyTrak+, so set your expectations correctly. And as long as you're not hitting off grass outside, the SkyTrak+ should be great!
I'd love to see a special video on putting practice for the winter months! I'm just starting to explore the Stack putting app now and have a Birdieball matt, but would love to level up my indoor putting practice
Great factors…having owned a SkyTrak and Mevo+…wish the Mevo+ didn’t need so much room; otherwise it would be a no brainer…the data parameters and layout is brilliant. As for the delay on the SkyTrak, I actually like it…It allows my brain a moment to determine what I think the ball flight will be based on where I think I hit the ball off the clubface…
I just got Skytrak+ and love it. So far it has been very good. No launch monitor is perfect but this one reads our shots 99% of the time. Only in rare cases does it miss. Usually lightly or some other issue. Price was $1000 less than the uneker mini. Yes no numbers on the device but having a screen is NOT a downside for me. We have a full sim space with projector. Having it side mounted really helps. We can sit more people behind to watch. Compared to the MLM2Pro P.O.S. that I had this thing is a dream. We have, since I purchased it, had 3 solid 18 hole simulation rounds with lots of practice before and as well. It's been great. Is it for everyone. Certainly not.
@@Mike95lude It picks up most just fine. It does not like low runners of any kind. It is camera based so having good lighting at the ball contact area is fairly important.
BLP subscription $700 vs $130 or $250 per year. Also it does not after club path to club face I believe they call it, but ST+ does. Does BLP offer E6 access? Or just GSPro? So, there a few reasons leaning against what appears to be a simple decision for you.
The BIGGEST PROBLEM for most people to tackle IF the want to use it in sim is SPACE. SKYTRAK, BUSHNELL, EYE MINI, solve this problem and the latter 2 provide great putting & chipping as well. Now that the Eye Mini is selling for less than 4k and its subscription model is so much cheaper than the Bushnell it has to be considered as a contender as well - how about a review?
Eye Mini haven’t tried yet. Their site says it’s $4500. Packages are $199, $399/year or $2k unlimited - can’t tell if that’s $2k/year or lifetime/onetime. I don’t consider that in the same price range as ST+ nor BLP, plus most everything else is less. The one video I watched shows it coming with its own mini suitcase but even just the unit looked larger & bulkier, so the least portable of these 3. Have you tried & compared it?
@@unitedbacon On sale now for $3500 til 10/8 --> Seems like $199 plus GSPro makes it much cheaper over the long haul than Bushnell My Understanding is the $199 - is basically a supported connector to E6 and/or GSPRO which is purchased separately. $399 is all of 199 and their Refine software and more cloud data $2K is one time with Refine+ and all of $199 but unsure if it includes updates.
Uneekor Eye Mini owner here. The Eye Mini with ball and club data is $199 annually. $399 gets you a handful of golf courses that are vastly inferior to Gspro. The EM plus GS pro is hands-down the best portable combo in golf simulation (IMO). Annual subscription on the BLP is $699. Too much in my opinion.
I'm not buying one because it's really out of my budget and I'm coming to the end of golf season without a space to setup an indoor simulator. I'm waiting for Garmin to release an R50, and/or a price drop on the R10.
Nice video, great info….just hate hearing people say “I could care less”….its COULDN’T!!!!!!!!! If you could care less, then you should! Haha but good video
The Skytrak+ has no real downsides, except price. R10/Awesome Golf is a great budget alternative, but requires more physical space. Your complaint in your previous video about the lack of a case is absurd. Just buy a $30 case for your $3K launch monitor; golf isn’t fair. A more legitimate complaint would be the fact that they charge an extra $250 for the protective cage.
Couldn't care less*... it's not "Could care less" - that would mean that it's possible for you to care less than you do now. The term is COULDN'T CARE LESS as in, I could not possibly care any less about xyz.
A few more downsides I can think of which may outweigh one of your top 5’s: - Requires a screen - iPhone, iPad, computer, etc. - Setting up a simulator E6 is not straightforward. Extremely cumbersome and needs an “easy button” - On a Mat vs on grass - I’ve heard the red dot it displays it’s hard to see in the sun. Also that it has accuracy difficulty if blades of grass are involved. When I asked their support I was told debris & grass gets in the camera lense’s way - so Jury is out
You are right those are additional downers but I am not focusing on range work, just indoor sim. If my focus was range then Mevo or MLM2PRO would be more obvious choices than SkyTrak+
My first ST+ had issues. After 5 minutes on live chat they sent me a return authorization number. Had new unit in just a couple days. It works perfectly. Support will have to be by live chat. Impossible to reach cust svc by phone.

Skytrak works great with TGC but it has trouble with other programs. I love GSPRO so the skytrak had to go and I bought the GC3.

How does the Skytrak+ do on picking up chip shots? Have you had any issues?

Your quizz just told me to get Skytrak+. Thanks for setting up the quiz, it‘s helpful, already to see the parameters you put. Cheers
At that price point, why not just getting the Bushnell Launch Pro? Seems like a no brainer,

Because the yearly subscription is a ridiculous if a price
BLP if $2k more than ST+ for the face and path data
Got to buy a subscription for gspro too.
Is the Skytrak Plus better at picking up chipping than the OG Skytrak? I have heard the the OG Skytrak is terrible at this.

You might want to mention TGC as a simulator option. I think 90% of us SkyTrak people use it for simulation software …

Mine is very inaccurate… it slices extremely… when i visually see the ball go straight

It's not really in the same range, though, is it. Its £5500 vs 2k/3k. Almost double.

The protective case for ST+ is only $99. Original ST case is $149.

Garbage review.
I love my Skytrak+
Sorry if Mr Skytrak is your dad or something
