This song sums up my late teenage years, you've hit me with a true throwback here, these In Flames #tbt have been great!

2004 gentlemen ! This is the song that started it all for me ! Heard this song and got Soundtrack To Your Escape and everything that came out before Soundtrack To Your Escape and everything since and are one of my top 5 all-time bands.
I don't give a shit what anyone says, Soundtrack To Your Escape is definitely one of their best records of all time.

Bro. Same. Is it one of the best In Flames albums? Well….. I guess it could be a yes and no? It’s certainly one of my favorites, but at the same time it’s also not one of the best. Soundtrack came out at the right time in my life where it was a big help to me. There’s almost no melodeath on this album, but it was ok to me. Both In Flames and Soilwork were trying to appeal to a big American audience. In Flames delivered Soundtrack, and Soilwork delivered Stabbing the Drama. Soilwork resonated better overall, but Soundtrack absolutely spoke to me. And Anders never really sounded better than this record. He sounds absolutely vicious. There’s times where it sounds like he’s gargling glass. I could talk about it all day. This is an incredible album. There are much better songs on this album.

The one Song that made it all started for me. One of their best Albums for sure. Somehow it gets to much hate from the "purists".
It all started with 'Moonshield' for me. As most purists would say, TJR is their best work ever. If you compare the two songs, they're night and day basically. So it makes a lot of sense that their newer stuff get 'hate' from some old fans. I used to kinda hate everything that came after Clayman too, but in time their post-melodeath stuff have grown on me :)

This song and video has kind of an industrial aesthetic to me. Not full on, but enough to give me some Static X or Crossbreed vibes. That area where industrial metal kinda melds with nu metal.

When the STYE album came out I could not even imagine how bad it was compared to their previous masterpieces. However, this song is actually not that bad comparing to their latest releases.
It still amazes me how they manage to get worse for every album they are releasing.
Down tuning isn’t exclusive to nu metal, you need to hear more metal.

Absolutely. Fridén tries so hard to be Jonathan Davis here. I'm not trying to be a purist here, but after Clayman there weren't many good In Flames songs. This is certainly not one of them.
