  • In this video Mike Icee will show how to remove replace and install the wheel center caps on a Mercedes W212 E350 e-class. The center caps can be purchased at the dealership. You'll see all the steps (step by step) and DIY tools needed. Always check with a Mercedes Dealer for proper parts and repair methods. Working on automobiles can be dangerous and Mike Icee recommends Mercedes dealerships for repair and service!

    Great demo, You even added the "remove the wheel" idea.👌 I looked at a few videos before this and there are some really brutal ideas out there but finally someone with a brain thank you for sharing.

    I have an old iPhone separator tool (plastic) that will probably work just as well, which I will try. Getting some new caps in a couple of days. Great video.

    For those who didn't make it with these tools: I used some aluminum thin and flat hair clips, which worked way better, as the material is more playable and less breakable. Thanks for the video and good luck!

    I have a 350 Mercedes with the M272 . My problem is that when the motor is worm I hear a knocking noise from the left side of the car wen standing on the front.
    Do you have the same noise?
    My car have 130000 km on the clock.

    Clever methods - I'm going to try this on my Jeep, which so far all I could find on pulling out center cap was jimmying it with a flat head screwdriver...

      If you use a screw driver you risk marking up the wheel finish.

    Hot glue works great too. mine were too tight to fit anything in. but I hot glue something to it and yaked it out

    Good Job, I like your suggestions I’m going to try the cardboard way first 👍 unlike another video I’ve just finished watching where the guy used a screw driver with insulating tape on the end and a hammer, guess what and unsurprisingly damaged his nice alloys 🙄 I would think there is only any point posting a video on You Tube and that’s if it’s helpful, showing you how to damage your wheels is not helpful at all.
    Thanks again for your neat video, off to fit my wheel caps 😀
    Update: I used the cardboard option, it worked an absolute treat and took less than 10 minutes to do all 4 👍

    Guys, help me save some money here, are these hubcaps made out of metal or just plastic? $80 for OEM and $20 for some aftermarket ABS.

      LOL but they shaped like bubble so you risk the screw driver of punch scrapping to the wheel if you dont hit hard enough to get through the plastic.
